I think people need to be a little kinder in the comments. If you don't want to eat fully raw recipes, don't eat them. I find her recipes unique and interesting. I've never actually tried kelp noodles before, and I am very interested in trying one of her recipes with them.

@@leandragustum7621 micronutrients, even at the smallest scale, are necessary for healthy digestion. Some foods if not cooked you intoxicate your body with oxalates, those increase kidney stones and just interfere with your body’s natural filtration. Other foods if not cooked basically never activates the fibers in order to digest and absorb toxins in the body. Your food should not just have the ability to supply your body with nutrients but it should also be capable of cleansing you.
A food might contain higher levels of nutrients while raw, but cooking increases absorption for humans, so even if it contains a bit less, you can absorb more.
@@yeseniarobles4289 i apologize, i meant to say that micronutrient content can increase with cooking-- not micronutrients. Thank you for bringing the oxalates to my awareness. I do agree that there are certain vegetables that need to be cooked to reap the benefits because there are some vegetables not optimal for human consumption. I didnt think to mention that because i know that at least most of of the vegetables Kristina eats are the kind that are best raw, like spinach. Fiber, magnesium, potassium, and phytonutrients are stone inhibitors, so with many vegetables, due to those benefits, oxalates aren't something to be concerned about. Kristina eats more fruit than vegetables as well, so she has a great balance. Citric acid (abundant in many of the fruits she eats) binds with urinary calcium and binds with oxalates, which prevents crystal formation and allows the body to flush what it doesnt need out
@@ByeByeBelly i totally agree that that is the case with certain vegetables. I dont believe kristina tends to eat the ones that reap the most benefits from cooking though
so nice to not see a microwave lurking somewhere in a kitchen, even unused. i agree, not too much dehydrated food, but it's great once in a while. My mother had an Excalibur, decades ago. I have recently bought a London SUnshine, which name appealed to me, poetically, as well as it being stainless steel, and it looked to be, and has proven itself a good servant.
Thank you for this video!! Thank you for the discount code! I ordered me a 5 tray dehydrator since I’m solo!! Super excited to make the lasagna recipe! Looks yummy delish!! Please post more warm food videos for the winter!!! Love and light!! ✨❤️🙌🏻❤️✨
Correction: cooking decreases nutrients in certain foods. Cooking can enhance nutrients in others (e.g tomatoes). Do your own scientific research people, and make your own choice. A mix of raw and cooked is, in my opinion, completely ok.
Correction: while cooking might increase the amount of specific nutrients of certain foods (like tomatoes via lycophene), it also decreases tons of other nutrients that are present as well. Think outside the box. Do you really need a little extra more of that one nutrient when it’s killing all the rest of the nutrients and proteins in the food?
I loved this video. I'm trying to incorporate more raw food into my diet and have been struggling as it's so cold here in the UK, but I'll definitely try these recipes!
I would absolutely love to attend your retreat in Bali... Dream holiday! Hopefully one day 😄 Love you and love your book. Thank you Kristina for making Raw Vegan so much more fun and interesting! You are so inspirational 🤗🙏💖 Xx
Gosh, I'm sorry, I haven't seen your videos for a while and I'm struck by your figure, it is so amazing, and you look so healthy! Exercise is so essential.
why can't you though? It would be the best If the cashew milk was fortified in calcium. Hot cocoa with fortified milk is delicious and most importantly, nutritious drink :)
Txs for the answers ☺️ I was questioning if I did this, the hot cocoa would still “follow” the raw vegan diet, out of curiosity. But you’re right, cashew milk is delicious
The warm food was the thing that ultimately took me away from Raw - I lived in Alaska when I started and it was just tooooooo cold. Now I live in the south so even in the winter it's so much easier.
@@Wooplot But a hot soup isn't raw. I still remained vegan, but while I was in Alaska I just couldn't stay 100% raw in the winter. I have thyroid imbalance (that raw almost completely resolves) so I'm already cold all the time - up there it was just too much. WAY easier in the south :)
i would love to see you eat the lasagne :))) and yeahhhh plse more warm recipies !!! here in germany it is getting winter and all that colorful but cold recipies are then nothing for me. thank you so much for all you do !
I want to purchase a dehydrator soon. I was gonna buy one, but the two I like were sold out😖so I will just keep checking back to treat myself to an early Christmas present lol
Can you use eggplant instead of zucchini? Or is there a reason everyone uses zucchini for noodles and lasagna? I am new to this lifestyle just curious and learning ❤
@@CaptainHieronymusLex thank you! I was thinking of using electric kettle heat water to 118 pour over eggplant with sea salt and lemon juice while I prep sauce and mix it with zucchini noodles. Hope its good lol I loved egg plant parmesean so here's hoping 😋 🙏
I have used an oven to make kale chips but it takes hours and hours, leaving the oven at a very low temperature with the door ajar. Really, I’d just rather buy a package if I’m craving them.

If you would do some research, there are several vegetables that are actually more nutritious when steamed.
She has researched for over a decade. Micronutrients can increase, but not vitamins. Shes talking about vitamins

thank you for this info!
Would of really loved to see how she cut into the “lasagna”
First thing that came to my mind, honesty
Same it's gonna smush everywhere was my first thought
It softens and kind of fuses together after time in the dehydrator.
@@hondurashaiti1508 huh?
It would work with a serrated knife like in restaurants where the sandwich has a lot of squishy ingredients

Love your work and raw inspiration. Peace be unto you
Thanks SO MUCH KRISTINA!!!! Nama, Excalibur, and Vitamix
It's ok, and in most cases better and more practical to eat cooked food.
honestly this looks like it would be really nice if it was baked in the oven for a bit
@MdoubleHB hahahahaha 😆 🤣
@MdoubleHB kinda is
Just a question! So if a put something in the oven that's not above 118 degrees, it's still raw?!
Yeah because the protein hasn't been denatured and denaturing protein is what cooking does
Not 45°?
He is talking in degrees Fahrenheit, which correspond more or less at 47 degrees Celsius.
Thanks for your ace recipes and getting me into Kelp noodles AND back into raw food - this recipe is delicious!
My beautiful daughter-in-law is vegan. Happy to see some of your recipes. I wish you well. Stay encouraged.

There's just something fishy about Kristina, thank GOD I'm not a fully raw vegan. I don't trust her as far as I could throw her.

Yes warm it in a double boiler, follow Mimi Kirk, her book has a few warm drinks in and she raw vegan.
The raw vegan lasagna looks great! Now I have to get a dehydrator!

Always okay to eat some warm or hot food if its what you crave or need. Nothing wrong with a hot tea or some soup.

Zucchini tastes more neutral, eggplant can be quite bitter espacially when its raw. But try it if you like eggplant

You are simply brilliant.
Holy moly that amount of pine nuts is my whole food budget😅
Right! That's why I usually substitute cashews, walnuts, or pecans for pine nuts in a lot of recipes.

Dehydrated mushrooms you can eat right out of the dehydrator?
You dont have to rehydrate?

Heating denatures proteins so does your stomach acid..
I do enjoy all your recipes.

So, the question is : Can I bake it and for how long at what temp? I do not own a dehydrator.
Where do you but kelp noodles?
Hi Kristina, can u plz do a hair video for vegans again? Many vegans have hair Problems and not so thick and long hair like yours. Thanks
