    Great video. I visited the Wonderland house last year on holiday. Got a photo of me standing in front! Didn't have Nash's address, so didn't go there, but I always imagined it was a lot closer than that! Thanks for doing this for all us murder junkies. Nice to know I'm not the only one fascinated by this stuff.

      Nothing says "Happy Holiday" like visiting gruesome murder scenes. Make sure you schedule a visit to Dachau Concentration Camp. Walk through that gate with the words "Arbeit macht frei" WORK TO BE FREE. Written in rot iron.

    This was a trip to watch. It took them less then 10 minutes to get from their place to the target. Even braver SOB's for doing it so early in the morning in the daylight. Thank you for posting this- I read a few articles about this story and was wondering about those locations.

    • @Tommy2shoe811

      It wasnt because they were brave it was bc they were drugged out and not thinking logically. If they had been they would’ve robbed someone else not one of the most powerful crime figures in the city.

    Very cool. I visited Wonderland house when in LA. Place seems unchanged in 30 years, based on photos and video. Gotta love that single file traffic going up Laurel Canyon at about the 3 minute mark. Didn't go to Nash's, but did go up and over the hill on Laurel Canyon, right past it.

    • @mflyer98
      @mflyer98 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @C.C. The story of Boogie Nights drew inspiration from this story. Well, actually it was a pieced together tale of several porn related stories. Boogie Nights wasn't a biopic and Alfred Molina wasn't playing Eddie Nash. Might want to judge the 2003 movie Wonderland in that regard. That being said I think the Wonderland movie scene was actually filmed at that real apartment location! I heard that Val Kimber actually slept at the house where the murders took place to draw whatever inspiration that would inspire. As far as the shots of what is suppose to be Eddie's house, the real house was not filmed.

    • @sportsmediaamerica
      @sportsmediaamerica 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with this. It's the wind we hear with the camera whipping through it. The roads didn't seem THAT shitty, at least not Laurel Canyon Blvd. Those side streets up into the hills are pretty much as expected, i.e., rather rough-hewn. I mean, how would they re-pave those streets? No one would be able to get around if they had a project like that. I did notice that one speed limit sign said "25" on the boulevard and everyone seemed to be going twice that! But maybe the camera exaggerated the sense of motion. LA is a compelling landscape.

It's not Nash, because he died in 2014 and the date at the bottom of screen says 2018. And I have no clue who lives there now, or if Nash even continued to live there all the way up until his death.

      The big draw of living up in the hills is it’s above the air pollution that’s stuck in the basin. That crap is far worse for you than most people know, it kills thousands of people a year in LA county alone w a wide range of cancers and people with lung conditions.

    The info above is slightly incorrect. The robbery occurred on June 29, 1981. I looked back at a 1981 calendar, and June 29 was a Monday morning. So you are talking about 8 a.m., rush hour traffic, on the Monday morning prior to the forthcoming 4th of July weekend. One has to wonder why they picked that time. They would get caught in that horrible southbound traffic on LC Blvd. if they returned the way they came. The murders happened very early (3 a.m.-ish) on the morning of Wednesday, July 1.

      you could not pay me to live there. If CA real estate wasn't so crazy expensive the house would probably be unoccupied. As it is I am sure it is worth more than a million. In the crime scene video the house looked in crappy condition especially with bad tenants like those. Maybe back in the early 80s real estate was a lot cheaper

    • @sportsmediaamerica
      @sportsmediaamerica 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Per Zillow, as of 11/2019, the house is for sale and/or seeking tenants. The asking price is high, but considerably lower than comparables in the neighborhood and you can imagine why. Who would want to live there?? Ghastly crime scene house. They should raze it, re-design it, rebuild it, and re-number it, as they did to the John Wayne Gacy house near Chicago.

    Thanks very much for this video. I got one question though, were speeding at all? :) If that route was in real time I thought, ok, for a motorcycle but not a car.! That view is awesome but reminds me more of the route a Police Officer may have on a Harley with priority to do anything on the way to that destination :) I.E. no offense, but your driving habits are really bad as not even stopping at one stop sign. I would expect that from an adolescent with a motorcycle but not with anyone with a an actual "Car" :)
    But thanks for doing that "Wonderland Route" and it is valid ! :)

    Awesome. Laurel Canyon is beautiful. The residential roads up in the hills and canyons are laid out so beautifully , with all the trees and foliage. Wonderful place. It's so weird that these crazed druggie criminals rented a house in that part of the Canyon, but i guess it was geographically beneficial to sell drugs from that area. That whole Wonderland thing was nuts, it was like two egos squaring off Lainuis vs Nash...both those guys were nobody to mess with, but the wonderland gang were so stupid to stay there when they had to know Nash would've came after them, especially after what they did and how they did it.
