    Excellent & informative video... this is how Im planning tbh.. working hard & saving. Did you land a job before you got there or after? Thnx for sharing ✌🏽

      Thank you so much! I actually landed a job after I moved. It was my goal to get one prior but it just didn’t work out that way. Luckily I had enough money saved to cover a few months of expenses & landed a job within a month of being here.

      @@justclaire4044 thnx for the reply.. I have a feeling that’s whats going to end up happening with me, lol. Most of the jobs I “qualify” for require a TX drivers license.. & I have to be out there 30 days to qualify for that 🤦🏽‍♀️ can you share some of the apps you used for professional job hunting, if you can? Im all into LinkedIn & Indeed.

    Awesome video. From your research and what you've experienced, what areas in Dallas have a lot of African American young professionals?

    I work for the postal service but I can’t transfer cause you have to be there for a certain amount of time to do so . I’m going to do a temp to hire job when I get down there til I can get back in with the postal service as I’ll have to start back over . I did research in Houston and they asked me for my transfer papers smh . I’ll have three months rent saved up. I was looking in Georgia and they never asked me that they just assumed I was transferring my job cause of the type of career I’m in . How did u go about that seeing u looked for a job after ??

    How did the proof of income work when looking for apt considering you got a job after moving there?

    • @justclaire4044
      @justclaire4044  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey! So for me, I was able to use my income from my job in Pittsburgh..& to answer you’re first question, finding a job in this field was tough. There’s plenty out there, but the pay is terrible for most of them. For the decent paying ones I think it was difficult just due to all of the competition.

    Girl I was born in Pittsburgh and lived there until I left 10 years ago and moved to Maryland. Now Im moving to Dallas in a few months. Also I think we went to elementary school together!! Did you go to Overbrook or from the West or Southside?

    • @justclaire4044

      Hey girl! I actually lived in Penn Hills. What’s making you move to Dallas?

    • @Prophetess_Ti
      @Prophetess_Ti 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@justclaire4044 Me too lol I left the Westside when I was 10 then moved to Penn Hills Guylyn Dr. off of Universal Rd. I graduated from Penn Hills High. You look so familiar...
      But soooo many reasons why I’m moving to Dallas a few tho is better career opportunities for my kids and looking to starting my own business in wellness as well. Everything is bigger in Texas girl lol more opportunity for growth in so many ways.
