She doesn't know anyone😟 she graduated from college last yr and went back and decided to go for Ministry and told me God told her to move to Texas. I'm flying with her in 2 weeks down there BC she received a job offer already. As a mother you worry about your children no matter the age😞 I told my husband I probably go back and forth to make sure she's ok for a year.

She going to sign her paperwork for her job and I guess we going to find something to do while we here. We leave Saturday morning. I was just watching part 2 of your apartment tour. Thanks for the information on the apartments. I'm going to see how she going to manager from paying $400 rent to $1500 😳 we are from Michigan. Our rent not that high depending the location. I stay in a 4 bedroom, 2 car garage house and i only pay $850 in suburban Michigan. She is stepping out on faith but I know the Lord will cover her 🙏 plus her parents. My husband swear he's not going to help 🙄but he's just upset she's moving so far alone😞

It isone thing to view the apartment but I have learned the hard way you get what you pay for. Meaning under $1000 the apt may be nice and renovated but is the neighborhood bad or unsafe.
Most likely there's a switched outlet in the bedroom of the 2nd apartment 1 bedroom. Another solution is to get the single bulb and cord set from Ikea and mount it to the ceiling. You could add a lightweight shade that attaches to the bulb, and voila... you have something akin to traditional overhead lighting.
Jeez. I pay double that for a 2 bedroom in Maryland. Yea I'm definitely moving there with the income I will be making. Yikes I'll be saving thousands to buy that house sooner than later. You're the MVP girl 🙏🏿
I word of advice, which by the way has nothing to do with discrimination. I myself am of mixed race. Be very cautious with regards to who will be your neighbors. I am currently living near Indian computer engineering students. Ever since they moved in I have been having issues with my Wifi and computer network being hacked. Besides that, they like to save money and so they will fit about 4 people in a one bedroom apartment. Which causes excessive noise at all hours. Additionally they like having phone conversations outside which usually tends to be in front of other tenants apartments which can cause a disturbance. When they use the laundry room they leave the clothes in the machines over night and do not clean up after themselves once they are done. Additionally, They are not very clean in general. Once a cat must have taken a dump near their front door and they never cleaned it up. This attacted flies in my home. It was a mess.

I have a major request can you do apartments furthest an hour away from utd that is under 1000 and has washer dryer in units and is gated please I am moving in august and I am not living on campus please this would be very helpful
You can eat out with friends but not frequently and buy nice clothes but not too expensive. i want to save up and buy a house. I hope you want to do the same

Prices vary prob from$700 studio & up 4 1 bed. Not many studios tho.If U had 2 get a studio I'd put a futon/sleeper sofa rather than a bed & 4 seat/dining table, prob round.
I'm a baby boomer back in the day we would get 900 ft for the that amount we would never pay $1,000 a month for that mess. It's not worth it we've been taking advantage of I know everybody's trying to look like they got more than they do. But you're making someone else rich. Ridiculous and we can't do nothing about it.

There's no patios
Ground floor units usually have patios, some even have wee yards. Mine has 2 patios (1 outside bedrm & 1 outside liv rm) + yard 30X15'
