i'm p sure the inclusion of thunderbird was to quickly and lazily finish out the team from giant size x-men #1 so that fans would stop complaining.

I can see why they went with the two pack, thunderbird is the unpopular brother compared to warpath and is a terrible figure, throw in an excellent storm they can make money on thunderturd , also that storm is awesome I was unsure of her at first because the Jim lee look is awesome but the well made not shit cape and immaculate detail work put this in first place for me, she’s in my modern x men display as the suit is pretty close to one of her other looks
The question is why even make this Thunderbird figure.
Why not just optimize Storm with cheap energy effects?
It's such a weird mindset that Hasbro isn't concerned that sure you are selling a less desirable figure but your customers aren't happy with it.
@@DesignIncase because someone will want the character for a classic X men set, but that isn't reason enough to make the figure as only maybe 15% of their market will buy it, put it here with a sought after figure they can make their money and move on

Ee Vee it’s not necessarily that bad, it’s fairly by the numbers and nothing to write home about, my main point is that by putting it in a two pack with a much better figure they stop it from being a peg warmer but also by putting it next to such a better figure it really highlights the difference

I really liked Storms late 80s Outback era costumes for the X-Men and I always thought her Inferno look was pretty awesome
Story wise i love the 90s jim lee era storm and my favourite look for storm is probably the current design from the marauders comic.
I am so glad we finally got this version of Storm. I am looking forward in completing the pryde of the x-men team.

I grew up with the Jim Lee Storm. I don't know if it's because I waited so long for this figure, but my favorite Strom costume is this one. I was bummed when I found out they packed Storm with Thunderbird. I understand this rounds out the Giant-Size X-men crew. I just want to complete my Konami X-men arcade display. (I need a custom Pryde of the X-Men Kitty)
My theory has always been they added Thunderbird to justify all the accessories Storm has. I read a comment Hasbro should have just packed her with a cloud stand like Toybiz and sold her as a $30 special. I agree with that comment.
I don't get how Hasbro thought that Thunderbird was okay when just a few months ago they released a pretty good Warpath
70's Storm is the best costume and no one is allowed to say otherwise.

That Storm you're holding has my favorite look. Another one of those two pack things were you have to buy one you don't want to get one you do, I wanted a Thunderbird but I wanted a good one or at least a not so bad one. Hasbro has good body molds why do they keep on using this one, haven't they made enough money from it already?!!! Other then that, a very good Storm and a very bad Thunderbird. Talking about thunder, have you seen that Thunderstrike with his blue arm pits, no gloved left hand to grab the mallet, shouting for eternity and using another one of those old body molds we've seen enough of?!!! I'm dying to see you come down on it like Mjölnir (notice all you perverts out there I wrote "come" and not "get" as in coming from above like Mjölnir does sometimes). Thanks for the review Anthony.

Classic Storm is my favorite costume, but modern Mohawk Storm (the one from the Jubilee BAF era) is my favorite version of her.
I can pretty much agree on the Tbird criticism. Its just the old Grim Reaper/Walgreens Punisher body. All I did was drill into the head a bit more so it sits down lower on the peg and it made a nice difference. Wish he came with fist hands instead. The paint job on mine is ok enough. Need him for that classic Arthur Adams classic Xmen group pic 🤙

It’s THUNDER TURD! the figure they were gonna release solo but he would have pegged warmed worse then the Wasp, and Captain Marvel.
So much went into Storm that Hasbro should have sold here as a $30 deluxe. But I'm sure someone said it's a normal sized figure and wouldn't sell (look at all the deluxe Widows hanging around) so they added a cheap repaint and charged $50.

People on the facebook group Marvel Legends Collectors are going crazy over that figure. It's like they have no sense of taste whatsoever. Anything Hasbro puts out pleases them

The first thing I said out loud when the video popped up was "wow Storm looks fantastic, who the fuck is the goblin guy?" Good to know that I was right in thinking she looked great, and thinking that pigeon guy looked awful.
Ugh. Can’t even bear to look at Thunderturd. Want the Storm but only if I can get the action figure on its own. That extra head is a huge win. Can’t help but also be pissed off with Hasbro for raping my wallet with the previous Storm figures and then putting this superb one out.
I can’t wait for Anthony to review Thunderstrike or ”Thundershit” from the Joe Fixit BAF wave he is gonna eat that figure alive it is even worse than Thunderturd here lol.... also just think guys Neca’s Tokka and Rahzar two pack is literally the same price as this!!!! 🤯

This is my #2 version of Storm. My #1 is Mohawk Storm. Poty about Thunderbird; I really wanted a good version of him.

My favorite Storm design is the more modern X-Force Strom designed by Kris Anka -- it more or less combines all my favorite aspects of other Storm figures into one: classic black outfit, 90s white outfit, and 80's mohawk. Plus just a clean design overall.

I gave up hope of getting this figure. But Storm is in my top 3 favorite X-Men. So I ALMOST bought a scalper listing from ebay, but decided to check the target site. And low and behold, they had stock! It arrives around Friday! Thunderbird is going in the trash honestly.
In terms of personal fav costume for Storm definitely Jim Lee/X-men animated series.
Sadly getting this set even at regular retail price will be tricky since it’s a Target Exclusive 😡 so buying Storm individually on eBay will probably cost double what the pack originally does
Why did this Storm have to be exclusive and a two pack? I need this for my Pryde of the X-men crew. She’s the last one. Too bad I’ll probably have to spend in the ballpark of $100 for this on eBay since I can never find target exclusives in my area, ever.
If Target fails me Storm needs to find a deluxe box or a vintage card asap.
I would like that idea, but I am sure they will take away a lot of her accessories.
Storm's original costume is my all-time favorite. It is very annoying that this figure is in a target exclusive 2pack.

I like her a lot. The head on mine is ridiculously loose and her foot is strangely curved that made it more difficult to stand than necessary, but she looks great on a stand in my collection. You can clearly see on the fingers where there was supposed to be lightning further down where they just decided instead they were going to keep it a full hand with lightning on the ends, but oh well. They've done that with a few others with this too. Can't even notice it unless youre looking at em closely.
Anyone that defends Thunderbird is a straight up Hasbro apologist. The figure is garage and has earned the criticism it deserved from this review.
Or they just have zero taste, no artistic sense and beyond ignorant when it comes to human anatomy and body proportions.
So I guess... not much better than just being a shill.

Sucks Hasbro crapped on John Proudstar aka Thunderbird as a figure smdh. I’ve always really liked him as a character even more than his brother James Proudstar aka Warpath. 😢

Pretty generous to that Storm. I've been hoping for this Cockrum costume for aaaages and this sucks. Wack proportions, that's not how she was drawn. Love that Hasbro finally is moulding boots and costuming but this just looks weak
Jim Lee era Storm in Silver would be my favorite. When all is said and done, they will have gotten me to buy 3 near identical Storms all filling 1 role.
Age wise, hasbro has been making them look older now that I think about it 🤔 look at nate, he looks like cable's grandpa! And he's like in his 20s!

Thunderbird have both hands for holding his knives, but where are his knives? If you're not releasing him with something to hold put just fist hands! I can't believe Hasbro think those hands make any sense.

the left knee on my storm is unable to bend in any way. It's a solid piece. I don't really mind but I can't help but notice it every time I pick the figure up and look at it.

Well he did die right away in the comics but he still must have his fans. He's a simple figure but you need him to complete the new X-men team from Giant sized X-men.

Her cape isn't connected to her bracelets and her fist are really, really, tiny. This version of Thunderbird is based on the Dave Cockrum art so i get why they went with the medium sized buck but ya the head looks disproportionate with the body.

Sounds like you lucked out. The paint on my Storm isn't nearly as good....... blotchy, overpaint, air bubbles..... :( Now to hunt down some fist hands and extended fingers for Thunderbird...... LOL.
Not loving "Dollar Bird" figure. The buck used was wrong...should have used the Omega Red buck. Storm is fantastic, too bad I won't ever be able to find her due to being Target exclusive.
