I can see why they went with the two pack, thunderbird is the unpopular brother compared to warpath and is a terrible figure, throw in an excellent storm they can make money on thunderturd , also that storm is awesome I was unsure of her at first because the Jim lee look is awesome but the well made not shit cape and immaculate detail work put this in first place for me, she’s in my modern x men display as the suit is pretty close to one of her other looks
The question is why even make this Thunderbird figure. Why not just optimize Storm with cheap energy effects? It's such a weird mindset that Hasbro isn't concerned that sure you are selling a less desirable figure but your customers aren't happy with it.

Ee Vee it’s not necessarily that bad, it’s fairly by the numbers and nothing to write home about, my main point is that by putting it in a two pack with a much better figure they stop it from being a peg warmer but also by putting it next to such a better figure it really highlights the difference

I honestly don't care for Storm too much. She is a cool character admittedly, though. So any version of her is fine in my opinion. Also, this new pinless stuff is really cool. I love how it looks.
I grew up with the Jim Lee Storm. I don't know if it's because I waited so long for this figure, but my favorite Strom costume is this one. I was bummed when I found out they packed Storm with Thunderbird. I understand this rounds out the Giant-Size X-men crew. I just want to complete my Konami X-men arcade display. (I need a custom Pryde of the X-Men Kitty) My theory has always been they added Thunderbird to justify all the accessories Storm has. I read a comment Hasbro should have just packed her with a cloud stand like Toybiz and sold her as a $30 special. I agree with that comment.
I love the Jim Lee Storms, but I Adore this style for storm so much! She looks badass, and beautiful. It’s THUNDER TURD! the figure they were gonna release solo but he would have pegged warmed worse then the Wasp, and Captain Marvel.

I can pretty much agree on the Tbird criticism. Its just the old Grim Reaper/Walgreens Punisher body. All I did was drill into the head a bit more so it sits down lower on the peg and it made a nice difference. Wish he came with fist hands instead. The paint job on mine is ok enough. Need him for that classic Arthur Adams classic Xmen group pic 🤙

So much went into Storm that Hasbro should have sold here as a $30 deluxe. But I'm sure someone said it's a normal sized figure and wouldn't sell (look at all the deluxe Widows hanging around) so they added a cheap repaint and charged $50.

My favorite Storm design is the more modern X-Force Strom designed by Kris Anka -- it more or less combines all my favorite aspects of other Storm figures into one: classic black outfit, 90s white outfit, and 80's mohawk. Plus just a clean design overall.
I like her a lot. The head on mine is ridiculously loose and her foot is strangely curved that made it more difficult to stand than necessary, but she looks great on a stand in my collection. You can clearly see on the fingers where there was supposed to be lightning further down where they just decided instead they were going to keep it a full hand with lightning on the ends, but oh well. They've done that with a few others with this too. Can't even notice it unless youre looking at em closely.

Her cape isn't connected to her bracelets and her fist are really, really, tiny. This version of Thunderbird is based on the Dave Cockrum art so i get why they went with the medium sized buck but ya the head looks disproportionate with the body.

Classic Storm is my favorite costume, but modern Mohawk Storm (the one from the Jubilee BAF era) is my favorite version of her.
