- February is the month of love, so, as a Valentine's Day gift from me to you, today we are going to showcase a female superhero I adore, Ororo Munroe -- STORM!
This video explores Storm's action figure history, from her very first figure in the 1991 Uncanny X-Men series by Toy Biz all the way to now. It includes figures from Toy Biz (or Toybiz if you're fancy), Marvel Select, and Hasbro. For the purposes of this video, we aren't looking at anything bigger than 7" scale, nor will we be looking at anything with cloth goods clothes, nor any toys meant for little kids. Obviously, I won't be covering every Storm figure ever made, but we will showcase just enough of the highlights so that you can witness action figure evolution!
The 5POA Evolution subseries on my channel is inspired by the late, great Glenn Webb, whom we tragically lost in 2016. Glenn was my introduction to the world of action figure reviews, and he is the one who inspired me to want to be a reviewer too. Just bought the air brushed toybiz tiny head storm for 10$ from a local shop. Gonna mod it to black suit. It’s seen some better days

Great video! Loved the narration, I felt I learned a lot! I started collecting with the Toy Biz 2000's X-men movie figures and the second I got was Storm! Man I loved her even though I hated her stiff arms and relaxed hair. I eventually replaced her with the 2020 retro card one, I chose the black costume only because it reminds me of the black leather costumes from the film. It would be a dream if you could do one with Jean Grey/Phoenix :)
Well, I've done Storm and Rogue, so for an X-Lady with a lot of figures under her belt she would be the next logical one, but that's a little ways off. Some other really fun Evolutions coming first

Very true. There was also a single-carded modern Storm from when she was in the Avengers. I really struggled over those, but since all them shared the same base body I decided to stick with just the one. Good catch though!

You would have to go to the aftermarket for it, meaning sites like eBay & all because it was released in 2006, so it's pretty old & I think it would be quite expensive there unfortunately.
I got mine loose for about $20. Search for X- Men classics 2006 Storm.

Wait, why does the 1995 figure where she's in white in this video have silver gloves and silver boots? I have never seen that before. I own the white figure and she's all white. I have looked online and have only every seen the entirely white outfit. So what is the deal with the white-with-silver-gloves-and-boots version? Any insight?
EXCELLENT OBSERVATION! Yes, I got this version loose and assumed it was the original release, but having done some research this edition was actually part of a set with a giant robot armor.

I already had a lot of them. I planned this video for about a year before doing it, so several of them I found at toy shows or things like that; the rest were on eBay.
