Oilseed radish will give you a flat 100 nitrogen across the field, and thanks for the video. Edit: I was wrong about this, it's only 100 for loam, it goes down by 20 depending on the soil type. Still, it saves fertilizer costs. so it's 100 for loam, 80 for loam sand, 60 for sand loam..
Thanks for the tip! I had to take a break for a few weeks just now diving into the harvest benefits of various crops. Loving all the complexity added by this DLC.
You have no idea how that news about the unit convert mod has caused me much grief over the past few days! For the life of me I could not find what mod was causing this issue. Thanks for the heads up and the link!
Moved to unit convert - still can’t buy land....hmmm. Go to the lands x icon and it just moves the map around. Gonna take a long time to work out the issue!
I have harvest master from thundr and can’t sell or buy anything in the map page - it just moves the map around. Will try the updated unit convert. Thanks for the info. P.s it is hect-are not next-acre. 100m x 100m is a hectare and is approx 2.45 times an acre so 40ha is approx 100ac
@@KederkFarms can’t say a lot in the UK - we have miles and yards on signs, mph speed limit, measure in millimetres and metres, sell food in kg and you buy a pint in a pub!
Just FYI for anyone else that is experiencing issue of not able to buy fields. That same modder has a mod on the giants mod hub " additional field info" If you have that mod installed you will also have the same issue of not being able to buy fields through the main map section. I updated his unit converter mod that Kederk linked below but still had same issue, went through my mods and found "addition field info mod" got rid out it and now is all good!
Wow, this was a really informative video. Thank you for making this. I am primarily a console player but I do have the game on PC. I plan to got look at all this data now that I know it is there!
I had a grass field fertilized with the automatic rate and it had a horrible yield, then I didn't fertilize at all before the second cut. The yield was as high as possible on the second cut.
Nice and very helpful, thank you - subbed. Nitpick, HA = Hectare (100mx100m), not hectacre ;) (acre = one chain x one furlong (66x660ft), or 0,4 HA.. non-logical silly measurement units you got :D ) Your field 5 which is 6.88 HA would be 17 acre.
Great question, I believe it's to make workers more efficient but I honestly haven't had a chance to investigate. Will experiment soon and cover it in an upcoming video
Can I get someone’s help I’m using courseplay and with the traffic speed slow down thing I wanna turn that off when I’m using my harvester in my trailer to collect the crops the harvester will slow down because it’s too close and I would like to turn that off can I get someone to help with that please ?
@@KederkFarms hmm, would have been nice if it were randomised somehow, maybe using a hash from the moddesc xml as a seed or something along those lines.
Very informative! Thank you for taking time to explain this!

You might have to start a new save game after installing the updated version. I did start a new save game and it works great.
@@brianrutherford3229 will try that...cheers
Great job kederk! Have a great day and keep it up!

Thanks! I'd make a comment about crazy metric units but I actually wish the US would get on board. :)
@@KederkFarms nothing crazy about metric units. They make a lot more sense than US units.

also thanks for the unit update
How did u uncover the whole map?

The loamy sand fields should be ok for grass fields then?
Is there a guide to altering units in Unit convert mod? I can’t find one anywhere...
I did not see it when you had the XML file open, but will anhydrous ammonia be recognized by the precision farming dlc?
I did a little testing and it didn't seem to be working by default but it would be really easy to add to the precision farming xml I think
@@KederkFarms Why would Giants not add that? damn consoles ruin everything! lol
Do we have to do all the calculations for the spray or is variable spray rate included in the DLC?
The DLC comes with the ability to automatically control the fertilizer rate or adjust it up and down manually
What is the point of the rtk stations?

@@KederkFarms thank you because I still haven’t seen the difference between having one and not having one
Question - Does this new nitrogen mechanic override the rotation bonuses you get in seasons?
Does someone have the link to thundrs discord server?

What map is this?
Royalton MN, link is in the description.
what map pls....
That must be a predetermined soil composition as I’ve got the same on the welker farm map
Yes, Giants created a default for any maps that don't have a custom soil map defined.
