I know I'm late to the party, but this video was extremely helpful and easy to understand. I've tried playing on seasons and wasn't really enjoying it, different bugs kept popping up. First my soil composition wasn't showing, then my workers kept quitting their jobs unexpectedly. But this right here, I can get into. At first it seemed like a lot more work than seasons. But the way you broke it down, i understood the basic difference. Definitely looking forward to adding it into my long list of mods. 👍🏽
Nice job. I've watched 3 channels so far and each are a little different with the testing they've done and the information. Never expected yours to be any different. Thanks for the information.
Thanks for showing how it works if any of the youtubers should know it would be you as your a real life farmer thanks again it helped me a lot God bless be healthy and stay safe my farming friend
Very helpful, I decided to get back into fs19 because warthunder is being screwed over, and I saw that this was in the mod list, and I started a new map and had no idea what to do. So thank you for the extremely helpful info.
Great and very educational! You my Friend are a excellent teacher! You did this whole dlc justice you broke it down to where even I understand how it works! Thank You my Friend!
When this first came out I didn't like it but I had thought lets give it another try but thanks to you I now know more about this mod now I totally understand it thanks
Dang good video my friend...was reminded of soil judging contests way back in the day with FFA...interesting fact, I dated a stripper named Sandy Loam LOL
@@FARMERMINN After you finish cutting corn like you did in this video what would be your next process to start growing again would you cultivate the field and then lime and put manure down or lime manure then cultivate and plant
With seasons you can now adjust crop damage and weed coverage 😏 which i like great look at the precision mod 😉 especially from a agronomist perspective
This is a brilliant vid on Precision Farming. I learned so much about soil types and the thought a person will have to put into crops to achieve top yields. I know exactly who I’ll turn to when I have question on this subject. Thank you Minn for posting this vid for all of us. I can only imagine how much time & effort it took to put it together. Take care & stay safe PFM. :) Cheers
Weeds are a separate issue and are not related to Precision Farming. I am not a fan of the way weeds are set up. Lime is needed for Precision Farming. That is your pH levels they are referring too.
Am i missing somthing or does slurry and using sprayers seem pointless if you use a seeder or planter with fertilizer in them. Because wen i use a seeder with fert. It will always get the nitrogen level based on the crop im planting. Wereas slurry and sptayers is a set amount. I even tried planting first then use slurry to see if it will add more to the required amount. But it doesnt. So seems better to just use a seeder and planter with fert tanks so it will auto adjust however smount is needed for perfect nitrogen levels each time.
That is a very interesting point you made. Sorry for the late reply. I never noticed any difference - but I am testing it now. Thank you for the comment - greatly appreciated!
One thing I wish they would do is change the soil texture. So when you drill wheat in, the ground looks like it was drilled. But when you plant corn or soybeans or something, the ground still looks like it was drilled instead of planted.
FARMER MINN i want to ask a question and it might sound stupid but if u set everything to automatically can u still drive the machines urself or do u have to hire a worker? Again sorry I it sounds stupid or worse
Thanks for the question......yes, if it is set to automatically adjust rate, you can still drive manually and it will properly adjust for you. Have an awesome day!
After you finish cutting corn like you did in this video what would be your next process to start growing again would you cultivate the field and then lime and put manure down or lime manure then cultivate and plant
How does this work with grass? I can't seem to get a good grass yield with this mod on, I assume because fertilizer and lime don't affect fields with grass planted? Dunno.
excellent video minn! i thoroughly enjoyed learning about precision farming and your efforts to put this video together were worth it and appreciated! thank you!
I have had no issues yet when using course play with it. Slider moves just as it does when using hired helper to spread lime, fertilizer, seeds. Currently playing on Lone Oak Farming Agency Edition map, using default soils. Have a pleasant one.
Good day my friend. I've noticed the difference between using it and not. I've tested the same field, same conditions with it and without it. There is a difference in time an accuracy. Sometimes really noticeable, sometimes not. I think if you don't mind putting one somewhere, its not a bad option. Thank you for the comment my friend. Have a Stupendous Day!
Plants free of water deficit events more efficiently absorb available plant nutrients enabling plants to achieve their maximum genetic potential. SWRT membranes installed below plant root systems retain water where it falls, providing continuous delivery of drought-free periods up to 3 times longer than intensely irrigated control sands without root zone water retention membranes (Guber et al, 2016).
Maybe I'm stupid but what's the point of probing the field when you can just straight up plow, lime and fertilize it with the automatic application setting?
The soil samples also tell you the type of soil texture and yield potential. It's not just straightforward as plow, lime and fertilize. Even with the automatic settings it is setting an application rate which will also affect cost. At first I thought the exact same thing, but it does involve a lot more. Remember, this is a 2-year project of Giants that will grow.
It definitely is a helpful video. You actually know what you’re talking about. After watching this video I’m gonna give it a try. My question is can you set it to automatic it and do the job yourself and if it’s gonna apply the right amount of lime and fertilizer on the different types of textures without having to use the helpers?
Very sorry for the late reply my friend. Thank you for the comment. Yes, it will go to automatic with both a hired worker and if you are doing it yourself.
Too bad precision farming fucks over contracts as you will get fields with 20% yeild or 50% and it doesn't give you enough to finish the field so you finish a field with like 78% done and in the hole 2 hours and 2k. Also found the values change based on seed for what you need so plant, lime, then fert in that order works well.
Sorry but I think this mod needs some adjusting, how can you have a prefect field as far as your ph level and nitrogen and it still makes the worst crop also how can your harvest be perfect you save the game come back to play that saved game and it becomes the worst crop, so far I'm not impressed with this mod so I've deleted it
Take it from me.....I do this for a living....you can have the perfect ph, nitrogen level and have the worst crop ever....its called farming. could be weather, soil type, lots of things. If you don't like it, don't use it. I have not even used it.
@@FARMERMINN I farm also but I aint never had my crop change overnight during harvest, if its 250 bushel corn in a field that night I aint never seen it go to 100 bushel corn in the same field the next have you cupcake??
