Of all the dozens of how to videos on the precision farming DLC, this series stands head and shoulders above the rest. It’s accurate, informative and detailed. Thank you so much!
Man, you are really good keeping that Tractor straight. I struggle to get straight down the field and I have to be in the cab to line myself up for a good run. And yes, this did help. Going on to #3
Another great vid. The max yield for each soil type is invaluable. I hope future map mods (new & updated) take this into consideration when assigning field prices, to make the lower yield fields competitively priced. Moving on to Part 3.
That would be interesting to adjust the economy of the field based on its earning potential. Course in the real world developers would by them up and slap houses on them probably.
Very nice video Farmer Klein. I found your video very helpful and useful. It should be noted that if you use the Unit Convert Lite Mod by Thund-R with this Precision Farming DLC, it can cause a mod conflict and cause the game to crash. It will also prevent you from purchasing fields in the game. Thund-R has since updated his Unit Convert Lite Mod so it will now work with the Precision Farming DLC. Thund-R's latest update to his Unit Convert Lite Mod is available on his Discord.
For the most part. auto mode will apply the correct amount of mineral fertilizer and lime to bring your nitrogen and pH levels up to the optimal for the growing crop type or soil type with regard to pH. The addon is much easier than alot of folks are understanding at this point. 1. Take soil sample 2. Apply lime 3. Apply orgnaic fert 4. Seed/plant 5. Apply mineral fert 6. Reap the rewards
Can take alot of lime! I'm on Missouri river bottoms and field 75 took 3 full loads of lime using CM new leader holds 18000L. But I've got 75% silty clay field 76 is all silty clay. But all fields had nothing on the worst they could be.
going forward it wont be so bad as long as you maintain the pH. think of it as your farming a field that has not been well maintained for quite some time so it needed alot of lime.

Thanks.
Yet another good "how to" video, learning so much.
Thanks again!
These are so amazing. I love science and this adds a deeper dimension to the game.

Its a helper
Look at the coordinates at the bottom. 90,180,270,0 are headings used for straight fields. I always use it and it won’t deviate from the initial line
Excellent video Farmer Klein!! Now that class #2 is done I’m gonna head over for #3 for some more helpful info.
Awesome! Thank you!

Thanks for helping me get my head around this

Really liking these videos. A great explanation.
Glad you like them!
It will be interesting comparing liming after every harvest to not. With the same crop and correct nitrogen
Feel free to let me know. I'm done at this point and look forward to actually being able to play now.
So the only way you could get a reduced yield is if you manually applied lime or fert to the field by over applying on a certain field type?

I noticed there's 125% yield shown on the scale, do we know if using precision farming can create higher yields then the base game?
@@ThatGuysProject Yes, but only on Loam soil.
Nice video Farmer Klein do you this will work fine on Holme Wold map ? Or we need to wait for an updated ?
all you can do is try.
Thank you for the video it was helpful
You're welcome!
Hi Farmer Klein. Does the generic soil map scale to 4X maps? Cheers
yes
