    Tuchel handled the whole Chelsea ownership change pretty admirably I'd say. Say what you want about his style of football and how he rubs bosses up the wrong way. Frankly I don't care; he's tactically astute, good in knockout football, and probably the best chance we have of success from the managers available.

    Don't know why people keep going on about wanting an English manager...and mentioning Eddie Howe. Eddie Howe has won absolutely nothing in football management. Newcastle finished 7th last season and are 7th this season. No English manager has ever won the PL. The last English manager to win anything was Harry Redknapp's FA Cup win over 16 years ago! The guy had just turned round the season from Lampards mess, 10th to 4th and of course winning the champions league. So these Americans coming in thinking they know more about football than Tuchel. Clearly any manager worth his salt wouldn’t just sit mumb and not try to put his experience into the equation, particularly being a successful manager. We play good when we actually attack which is hardly ever, we play awful when we play defensive which is 90% of the time. Why are you even here? English people are allowed to discuss matters regarding their national team in their own country, thank you very much. You seem completely obsessed. You are just bitter because you come from a third world country with no national team, so you decide to be a plastic fan for Spain, a country with just as many historical crimes as England, perhaps more actually, which is, I assume, the reason you hate England so much. A team past its best? That team was made up of majority young players. James, mount, christensen, chilwell were all in their prime. Both Rudiger and havertz have improved since leaving Chelsea. Kante and azpi weren’t young, but played most games that season and were very good still. I do agree that some of the players in that team have since fallen off, mount and Werner for example, but at the time that team was considered very high potential and a project for the future, hardly a team ‘past its best’

  • @RefnRes
    @RefnRes 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Tactically Tuchel is top notch. However, he is a maverick which really doesn't fit with the England project thats been going on. He didn't want to spend time focusing on developing young players at Chelsea. His talent ID there showed to be weak as he pushed several viable striker options out the door to end up with Havertz who had around a goal every 4.5 games and a past his prime speed merchant in Aubameyang.
    He also doesn't just have a track record of falling out with club owners. He has fallen out with quite a lot of forwards. Nkunku said he left PSG because he didn't want to work with Tuchel. Werner left Chelsea because he didn't like how Tuchel handled him and it wore down his confidence. Lukaku and Tuchel fell out after just a matter of months. Lukaku was meant to be his statement signing after he froze out Tammy Abraham and sold Giroud as well. Ziyech and Pulisic also were very unhappy under Tuchel. Last season Musiala reportedly wanted to leave Bayern out of nowhere and now he seems fine again. So I don't think it's a stretch to say that if you want a manager who will do will with Englands attacking talent then Tuchel isn't it.
    The best fit for the job is Graham Potter. He will continue to support the positive psychology driven focus on team culture. He will implement an attacking football philosophy that fits the players England currently have. He is definitely much stronger tactically speaking than Southgate was too.

    • @ktkee7161
      @ktkee7161 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Look up the word underwhelming and there's a picture of Graham Potter. He struggled with the Chelsea job, what makes you think he'd cope with England? He's also dull with the media. I agree Tuchel doesn't seem a good fit, I'm just curious why he'd want it because it's a part time job and he's said what he loves is day to day coaching. He'd be bored and hate the media scrutiny I reckon.

    • @RefnRes
      @RefnRes 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ktkee7161 The Chelsea job was under absolutely impossible conditions caused by the most aggressive transition strategy any club has ever undertaken after a forced ownership change. He was given no preseason and the club had 10-15 injuries almost every matchweek. The recruitment was all over the place and the squad was horrifically imbalanced. He never once had a chance to actually put out an optimal team as opposed to just whatever was available which meant absolutely zero tactical flexibility. Do not judge Potters coaching ability on a total shitshow that was created entirely by the new ownership.
