the tutorial is so clear, at the first time im into crocheting i really hate the ribbing part, now after i watch this tutorial i think im gonna adding a ribbing part to all my wearable crochet project 😂
The ribbing instructions were spot on.
I love sweater vests! I’m going to give this a go. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Your voice is so calming and relaxing... thanks 👍
i finished mine and its amazing!!!
Can’t wait to make a vest, thank you!
You make the best video tutorials!!
Thank you so much. It’s very easy to understand.
Thank you, this is a great tutorial video .
Just off my hook, great tutorial. Thanks!
Great clear instructions, thanks 😅
Thank you! I warble to make a vest for myself❤
Love this thankyouu❤
Thank u so much 😊
I just finishes the base! Im working on the neckline ribbon rn, but i didn't see the armhole ribbon tt... But i guess its easy anyway great tutorial!
i was just looking for the same thing, I think I'm going to just do it like the bottom ribbing
Hi, great turorial, but with this dark colour, it is really hard to tell where you are working some stitches. Especially the first row after ribbing, where it you are placing an extra dc somewhere inside the ridge, but it is really not clear where. Chosing lighter colour for turorials would be better.
Sorry that it was hard for you to see! For the first row after ribbing, it actually doesn't matter the exact space you go into. There aren't actual stitches there, so you just have to know how to count rows, and I made sure to show how to! Thanks for the suggestion; I'll keep it in mind for future tutorials!
Ty this was useful
please can you explain how to go about doing the ribbing on the arm holes!? i get it will be similar to the others but how do i attach my yarn, etc - why is there no section for this bit!
Sorry, I didn’t show it because we already learned how to attach yarn. It’s at the 15:30 mark!
Attach it anywhere along the armhole, chain 1, single crochet around, and slip stitch. Then, chain 6 and half double crochet in the 2nd chain from hook and across (for 5 half double crochets), and slip stitch 2 together. And from there it’s identical to the neckline!
@@VivCrochetsthank you so much I'm crying right now because of the ribbing part but I saw this comment this is exactly what I needed right now thank youuu
waw, thank you so much
Perfeitamente ❤❤❤❤
Molto bello Vivien❤
Thank you ☺️
Thank you so much! Ive watched about 20 tutorials so far and your tutorial is the only one I've understood! Im about to begin this project and I was just wondering, How long does this roughly take to finish this project?
I would say about 10 hours or less. It took me maybe 6 hours of crocheting!
Thank you so much!@@VivCrochets I will begin this project now! 😊
How much yarn do you need for this vest? Great tutorial, i'm a beginner but it was easy to understand. Thank you
Bello ❤
what did you meassure for the width? i dont want it to be too boxy so im not sure if bust size is the right one...
Edit: oops, skipped over the "make sure it fits over the widest part of our body" part 😅😅
I made guage swatches with a 5.5mm, 5mm, 4mm, 3.75mm, AND 3.5mm hook, and none of them worked. 3.5 was the closest. I got 10 cm from the double crochets, but the rows always come out way longer. So I get a rectangle and not a square that is 10x10cm
Wait how do you make the ribbing for the arm?nvm i watched a bit more and it makes sense
Hiya! Have you got a written pattern at all? I want to make this but checkered so thinking to read through I’d be able to adjust/work out rows and what not.
Thanks for your wonderful pattern either way 🙂
What kind of yarn did you use for the project. I really want to crochet a vest but cant find any yarn that dosen't itch or lint.
do you think I could get away with using DK yarn?
Does this pattern work with half double crochet all around? Because double crochet for my yarn weight since it’s chucky is mesh like
I’m crying at this ribbing part. It’s not making sense
What side it is
hello i love your tutorials!! how much yarn in weight did you use? :)
Hi, thank you! I used 226 grams of medium weight yarn
girl I'm crying at this 😭 how do you do the ribbing on the sides
did you ever figure this out?? i only have the armhole ribbing left now and am gonna be a bit gutted if i’ve followed this whole tutorial and then can’t finish it due to this missing bit :(
I wish you showed one armhole at least:( because there’s no v-neck, im trying to figure out how to go about it
Hi, can you please tell me what size is this, thanks
Hey Viv, when you measured 66cm for the ribbing, did you have it doubled over? Cos 66cm for a small tank top looks really wide. 😊
It’s all the way around, so front and back!
@@VivCrochets that’s so kind of you to reply, thank you so much.
thanks for the tutorial! :)
How much thread does this take?
For me, it’s just took 1 huge skein of yarn from hobby lobby for the whole thing!
But, u might need more or less depending on ur yarn, hook, and tension!
Do you just wear it after its finished or do you block it before wearing?
I say you don’t need to block if you like how it looks right after finishing. You can block it if you want it to drape better!
Is this like a free size or what?!. i'm afraid of making it bigger or smaller .
Very sorry but for the arm holes you said you did 3 rows right to left, left to right, right to left, so when you do the v neck why do you start right to left would that be a even row not a odd row like 3 hope this makes sense I just can’t get my head round this
You’re right! I think I may have just turned it inside out. Sorry for the continuity error!
hey can i ask question, what happen if i try to wrap around my body after done 80 rows and still not fits
try blocking it
Is it really divisible by 8??😑
22:56 I can’t seem to get the turning back and forth here😊
It’s very similar to the ribbing I did in my striped raglan tutorial! Maybe that one is more clear for you, specifically the part at 17:35
@@VivCrochets thank you so much. I finally figured it out😂😭. I was the one doing rubbish
what length does the vest come up to?
It's customizable, you can add more rows in the body of the vest if you want to make it longer.
Why does it need to be in increments of 8?
It’s so we can have equal stitches when we split the front and back and then for each side of the v-neck!
@@VivCrochets thank you
Thanks for the tutorial. A lighter background would be more helpful to see the stitches better
How do I make it bigger? 😢
The ribbon. Just add more rows to the ribbon to get more stitches
Are you using only one yarn on that project? (Pls reply plss)
I used 2 balls of yarn
What is your size?
I usually wear a size small!
Hi does anyone know what size this is?
I’m going to say a small? I used the exact amount of rows too for someone and they usually wear smalls :)
How many grams of yarn are enough to make this?
226 grams
@@Hanah-kx6fy thanks

I wanna make it, But i don't have the yarn (Tʖ̯T)
Also it looks soo cute on you, keep up the great work!
Stupid beginner question: do you guys actually manage to always count the rows and the stiches?
Whenever I see a tutorial and it's like "oh so I did 54 stiches" I'm like... How did you count? 😢
its a lie you gotta tell yourself(thats what i do)
Stitch markers, row counters and patience 😅. I personally don't count every row if its a large section of repeats, I count every few rows and if its wrong it's my punishment to frog it back and find the added/dropped stitches 😅
First pin me i love your vids
Thank you!
