Symbian has been long gone for ages past now man.
And a Qwerty phone (if this is what you're talking about) is kind of rare, and also quite expensive if you do a bit of research.
Android Go has been the mobile OS for basic flip smartphone for a hot minute now, er at least last I recall.
Nokia isn't trying to sell hotcakes, they trying to fill other segments of phone availability and stay afloat.
This is what carrier type phone makers do these days.
I'm actually sad to say this but that'll never happen with the new HMD Nokia.

Ironically you won't be watching youtube videos such as this one on a Nokia 2660 phone. The perfect phone to own for about a week to make you realise how much modern smartphones have come on since designs like these. If you buy one, keep the receipt.
People buy these kinds of phones cos they want to get away from all that . I am not alone when I say I’m sick of staring at my phone . But I remember life before phones were even popular. I can I see what smartphones have done to society.

What I can’t understand is why they released one in America almost identical, I think it’s 2780 model name , exactly same looking but it has usbc charging port and a 5mp camera. Why oh why couldn’t they do the same in the uk instead of giving a rubbish vga camera and micro usb charging port. If they can build it better there then they can do it here too

When you go to contacts and type a letter to search a contact, it doesn't show the contacts starting with that letter but shows all the contacts that contain that letter. So basically shows ALL the contacts. You have to type at least 3-5 letters to find the contact you need. This is a serious bug and makes the phone unusable. Is there a way of searching the contacts which start with the letter you type?

if it was the same phone released 15 years back for the same price it would have had much better specs. as a long term nokia fan/customer and someone whos house was filled with only nokia, this isnt what we expect

Phone carrier's commission/authorize a phone maker they have a contract with to make devices, especially between market shifts and change of seasons. Right now what's hot is basic phones for kids in school/elderly or handicapped functions.
It's back to school time, pretty sure that parents/guardians are trying to do everything they can to save a bit of coin for school supplies/clothes and after school activities (sports/clubs/etc). You may not get this, but tho something may not be any benefit at all to you, other person's may find it quite beneficial and then sum.
That's just how life is, take it as you may.
