- In this video I show you how to play stretched resolution in Apex Legends season 19 in 2023. I show you all of the best stretched resolutions, how to use 4:3 1440x1080 with no black bars, as well as any other resolution you want to play. I also show you how to properly display scale your stretched res with CRU for less input delay. (open for more info)

thank you!! i used to have it set to stretch res but i somehow change the start up res to a 1998 tube tv so i would have to fix it every time i booted up apex. thanks for the 3 less clicks ❤

the nvidia sharpening helped a ton on 1728x1080 when i was using, makes it so much more clear
@@complysdo you know why my game still looks blurry on 16:10 regardless if i put .30 or .50 on image sharpening? Its like it doesnt do anything and reverts to nvidia recommended

Sometimes the launch properties get deleted after an update, you will not be able to type in the entire launch properties before EA app stops you from typing everything. THE ONLY WAY to fix this is by using CTRL C to copy and CTRL V to paste into launch properties. You cannot highlight copy right click paste, it will not give you any options when you right click to paste. Again you MUST use CTRL C and CTRL V to re apply launch options. I am certain many people will come across this issue, glad to have found a simple fix

I play siege and csgo in stretch rez and have wanted to try it on apex for a while but it was always too confusing or annoying to to setup. Now I have it set up and it was not even a headache, thanks a ton for the video!
im pretty sure you can make multiple profiles in cru and just have everything display scaled. For ex. you can have apex be 1728x1080 and csgo 1920x1080 (or any other res) and have both properly display scaled as long as you have both in your extension block
you can also confirm that the display scale is working because if you go to advanced display scaling, your Desktop resolution and Active signal resolution should be the same. KajzerD has a good explanation and tutorial
this makes my counter-strike playing brain very happy. :) if my eyes aren't melting, looking at my 4:3 stretched game, I can't hit anything. D:

once you've done forced display scaling what must it look like in the nvidia control panels ? is there settings to mess up with in there ?
Okay it works perfectly, I don't even have to press alt+enter and it stretches all the way.
When you stretch in Apex and use octane man it feels sooooo gooodddddd!

never have i tried to play a game and use streched res where it is that complicated to set up the strech res, the autoexec doesnt work for me or i just cant find the buttom which to press, do i need it press alt+enter 2x everytime i start the game? cuz im getting black bars on top and bottom.
man my custom res [1728 x 1080] is not showing in apex after i created it in the control panel. Is there any solution to make it show?

I’m getting a lot of crashes when I boot up the game. I went back and reset my setting in the saved game files back to normal. Should I still have read only checked?

Yo @complys I need some help, hopefully you see this! To preface I am a hardcore player and know more than the average optimization junky and I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix my issue.
For some reason when I set my stretched rez to 1680x1050 360hz in the Nvidia control panel (I have the 360hz 24.5in Zowie BenQ) with all of the correct panel settings and launch options then load into Apex my monitors refresh rate changes from 360hz to 240hz. This ONLY occurs when I load Apex, otherwise the refresh rate stays 360hz.
I cap my fps using RTSS and +fps_0 at 240hz but when I use any other resolution my MONITORS refresh rate will remain 360hz when I load Apex.
I've tried many fixes such as creating a custom 1680x1050 rez that can only access 359hz and making it my monitors base rez but even then the refresh rate drops from 360hz to 240hz once Apex is launched. Any fixes, ideas, or known issues you may know would be awesome my guy!
@complys to change everything back to normal do i just put all the original settings back into cru and apex so 1920x1080 180Hz?

I do 1440p all low settings, set model detail and stream budget to whatever, I’m doing capped 180fps, I can easily hit 240fps on 1440p, but I gotta mess with nvidia panel and I’m too lazy to do that
I’m having trouble everytime I close out the note pad to re check read only the right click blacks out my screen as of resetting it
The EA advanced launch options always freezes when I try to copy paste all the commands, even individually typing it, once it reaches the end of the box it will freeze. I have already tried countless times. Anyone found a fix?

non of the monitors in cru says active and in the extension blocks I only have default extension block any fix for that

@@elverhahain my honest opinion, you should always try the better quality res possible streched or 16:9 whatever and when you have a shit pc you can try and see if it works for you but i do not recommend if you can have better

when I set my texture streaming budget to 160000 and resoltion at 1440*1080 in vedio cofig file but while opening game it is showing like texture budget as none.. PLZ Help

when I do it the lowest resoultion I can do is 1440x 1080 when I set it to 1080x1080
I have apex on steam and when i browse local file and click on the cfg folder, there’s only a client folder inside, no other text files like u. And when i create a autoexec file and changed the tail to .cfg it doesn’t ask me anything. Help me plz cause mah ui is misplaced:))

ok so i tested it again and you can try to use your monitors native refresh when making the new res, and if its very stretched you can but even 1440x1080 i couldnt go to the highest, it had to be 1350 and below

What’s a res for 2k monitor
The game launches in windowed mode when using a resolultion less than 1280x1080 (for example 1080x1080) and won't let me alt+enter to allow a fullscreen resolution. Seems to only happen on the EA app, any fix for this?
i just tried 800x1080 and launched from ea just fine, make sure in your video config you have both of these set "setting.nowindowborder" "0"
"setting.fullscreen" "1" and let me know if that launches the game in fullscreen
@@complys yea, I got them on. Also have -full screen in launch options just doesn’t work for lower resolutions for me for some reason. But always used to work on steam.

@@v0HaVoK0v Yea, still happens. It's like when I go past that threshold, it makes it windowed, and does not allow me to even use the alt+enter shortcut it will instead just void the alt ket. but it only happens when doing the shortcut otherwise, alt key works like intented.
I did everything you said but it still shows 110 FOV in my Apex settings. Does this mean it's still 120?

does anyone with amd have trouble making 1728x1080 in the adrenline software with the benq zowie360htz? its like theres a bug and i cant make certain reses or do full 360hz... any help would be appreciated. also would like to not have to download a third party custom res software
i wish i could help but i have no experience with amd software :( cru is used by many though and is very safe you just have to run it once to make a res and then youre done you never have to open it ever again
It is because when you create your custom res in amd software you also need to enter your res in timing display

the option to customize my res is greyed out of the nividea control panel. and i know you need to disable dsr factors in 3d settings, which I did on my old monitor and it worked. But now that I'm on my new monitor, the customize res option is again greyed out, but this time, dsr factors won't even show up. help.
