what did you to plug the hole on the valve cover after removing the evap canister? and did you add a filter to the top of the gas tank to account for the missing hose that leads to the evap canister? I have 2 of them and after running them for about an hour or so they kept shutting off. After I got them back to the house I found the evap canister was full of fuel. not sure of that was choking something or flooding the engine. So im going to remove them and see if that helps.
Are you having any trouble with it running after it sits for 20 or 30 minutes? My kids will ride it for an hour or so, take a 15 minute break, then it won’t stay running for anything
No, sounds like maybe your air/fuel ratio might be off when warm. I would suggest replacing carb with an aftermarket version that has air/fuel mixture screw. The factory carb does not have it
You didn't have to upgrade the jet or valves? I put an exhaust and air filter on my stock kt196 and it was putting out the more gas I gave it. After the jet kit and valves were upgraded I tested it on my mini bike and hit 50mph. Haven't put it on the kart yet, but I'm sure it'll be fast.!
Yes I did end up putting a full stage 1 jet kit because it was misfiring, another video coming soon with an update. I also bought a bigger/wider rear tire setup for it. This thing is ripping now!

I am not sure which oil I want to put in there but I want it to be a good synthetic oil and some people have said regular car synthetic is not as good as small engine synthetic. Hoping for some clarification
I actually still have the original belt on it, it’s held up better than I thought although the belt is getting thinner and will need to be changed soon, it has not broke. Everything else is still going strong as well, running great. I did have to tighten up the tie rod nuts once tho
I have the same one GK200 196cc what is the cvt belt number for these things? Ive called everywhere and looked all over the internet I cant find anything
That’s cuz the hose going from the fuel tank to the box leaks fuel while driving and bouncing around. I just removed the box and cut the hose attached to the fuel tank then just attached a breather to the end of that hose.

So far so good, I’ll have another video posted soon with some new mods. I ended up putting a jet kit in it and I’m working on a larger rear tire upgrade. But overall I’m pretty impressed with it, just gotta make sure you check bolts every once in a while some will come loose. It’s running great belt is showing zero wear so far, engine is strong. My son loves it, he’s 8yo.
Where can I get the belts from? I’m buying this exact one and want to have some on hand. Can you post the type I need? I see some on Amazon just not sure which one I need.
It’s just a standard belt that goes on the 30 series style torque converter. You can buy the belts from Coleman but Amazon has multi-packs for way cheaper.

Have you changed the brake pads or calipers yet? I have a GK200 as well and can't find any good tutorials on how to replace the brakes.

How does it do on hills? I have about a 20 to 30% grade I want the kids to be able to climb.

Turns out it was just a bad carb in general. Replaced it and no trouble at all

Question for you regarding the led headlights. Are they operational? Do they run from a separate battery, or are they run off the coil and stator?
They run on stator, if the engine is on the lights are on
How did you bypass that little emissions box that is mounted on the back of the frame? Mine is leaking fuel constantly. 🤦🏻♂️

I have the realtree version. Looking into how to get lights on it. How are they running the lights on the new unit?
Not too sure about how they are connected. I can tell you they are on all the time when the motor is running, no on/off switch.
