Hi uncle Bob, I lived in Russia for 4 years and I can tell you why they made this box opening so hard... The answer is simple, coz russian postmens they steal stuff from the package and wil deliver empty box to you.

Bob!!! Is there a way to disable the headlight washer when operating the windshield washer? New video possibility opportunity for you! (apparently when the headlights are ON and you squirt your windshield washer fluid, it squirts the headlights too! Dumb right?! Especially when you have a Nebula Gray GX!)
This doesn't work on a 2021 GX. They made the camera larger. The sprayer is covered by the camera.
I wish i had a 2021 to do stuff that pertains to it. Give me time🙂

Careful reinstalling the window side trim. The v shaped clips will fall into the door if you leave them on the frame when you reattach the side trim. In this video they stayed on his trim. Be sure the v clips are on the trim before you reattach. I have 3 v clips inside my door now. They cost over $3 each at the dealer. Didn't find them any where else.

does it fit 2023? i was told 2013-2018 but I cant tell the difference just by watching your video it seems like it should work.
i wish i could prove that to you but i have no way of testing. Also its coming all the way from overseas so i'm not sure if its worth taking the risk to find out it doesn't fit. But then again, if you are good at customizing, then you might want to try to attack this project. The water tube is all universal. I am just afraid of the wiring.
The zip ties aren't for the hoses? Seems like it is to prevent water leaks

For anyone wanting to order one of these... I emailed the company several times and eventually someone located in Poland, who must work with/for the company reached out to me. Their email was a personal account and not from the official website. I ended up paying about $100 USD, via PayPal, for this and several weeks later received it in the mail. The process to get it was a bit shady but I'm happy I took the risk.
Note on installation. Before putting the trim back on close the rear hatch and test out the sprayer. If the stream doesn't cover the entire field of view when observing the back up video, then you'll need to adjust the sprayer ball. You can do so with a small flat head screwdriver or similar tool. I just removed the two bolts holding the Clean Cam to the rear hatch and inspected it that way. I did not have to remove the camera to adjust it.

I was willing to pay the premium though. I live in Illinois and that camera always gets dirty from all the rain and snow we get.

I just tried the Russian site and it worked. If you’re using Google Chrome, it will translate the site for you. Click on your year Lexus and a BUY button will appear.
I tried as well with no luck. Used Google chrome w/translate, it will let you get as far as the check out and tell you delivery can not be made to US. Looks like they do this on purpose to make you call up an pay 4x the amount.

@@jasonshen2319 hahahahahahah omg. That sounds like the headliner has to be removed to get to the underlying fasteners. Good thing is, you might get away with just removing only the rear cabin panels and push the rear portion of the headliner down to access the antenna. The downside is, you might crease the headliner.

GBOB, Can you put a link with this video where we can get the FSB camera washer? Thanks for directing me to this video! My 2012 doesn’t have tracking lines for backing up. Will a newer model camera provide those guidelines or is that a software or firmware feature?

Lexus got Shitty backup camera and nothing will help till replace head unit and install HD camera :) But washer always welcome for any outside cameras :)
to be honest.....it does its job. I mean....you really don't use the back up that much and when you do , its for a few seconds to back up. All you're really looking for is to make sure no little kid is riding on their little tricycle behind u.
@@GXBOB that a problem - if in day light u can see something on the screen - at night camera shows a mosaic from the pixels and nothing more . HD camera will show u crisp picture in any condition - that I got in my Honda and Hyundai cars 40 grand less expensive then Lexus :)
I don't know about you guys but I don't put made in China in neither My Land Cruiser nor my gx460.
All I have ever put on those two cars was made in japan, made in usa, or made in Australia.

I take that back. I remembered my smittybilt winch on the Land Cruiser, I looked into it and all of smittybilt winches are built in China. So that's the one thing I can think of that I put on my car that was made in China.

Wow this is awesome kinda wish I could get parts from Russia! Ahh the good ole days I quess. The first truck that I ever saw with this was my 2016 Explorer and In couldn’t believe ford was the one that came up with it. I live in Northern NJ and they salt the hell out of the roads so pretty much at every stop I’m getting out and wiping the camera on the back of the car or I don’t see anything but salt on the screen.
So it looks like this mod keeps you in your warm suv?

I live in the Northeast. In winter the backup camera is useless unless cleaned nearly every time I get in the truck. That's a few times a day if running errands. This is not a keeping up with the Jones item for some of us.
