Tried skiing a long time ago at Fort William when I was in my mid 20's, on the second day the so called instructor took us complete beginners down nid wall full of moguls, a truly awful day, by stopping and starting and falling multiple times I got two thirds down it, and the slope got steeper and it became so scary I took my ski's off and walked down the rest of the run, and for the rest of the long weekend I was just mentally counting down the hours till I could go home, and I swore I'd never try skiing again, and now 40 years later I haven't.
We did this twice last week, first time in nice conditions like in the video. Bit later in the week it was wind blown hard icy bumps in zero visibility, horrible! lol i'm told its "character building"
@@richardbicknell2140 Hey, you Brits are enthusiastic. You think(!) you can ski, but that has nothing to do with being able to ski :-) And no, I think 30 days skiing days and 150-180.000 vertical meters per year are quite enough.
Not sure what your point is. I do not claim to be a expert skier just enjoy getting out. Your comment is not particularly clever but whatever floats your boat.
@@paulbirrell5057ignore him pal. You guys look to be having a blast. I’m a Scot too, it’s the first video I’ve found of ValT with Scottish accents. Have you skied much up north? Glencoe, Glenshee etc? I’m heading to ValT for 1 week in April. Can’t wait.

@@scottm9617 skied a few times at Glencoe and Glenshee can be great in right conditions ⛷️⛷️👍
if these are bumpy for you shouldnt go to black slopes. this was a normal red slope with moguls
