To be fair, Mega Bomb is just a more FP-costly Power Bomb that hits all enemies regardless of position, whereas the Power Bomb is a Bomb attack that consumes double the FP to affect all ground-based enemies (a la Kooper's Power Shell) Considering that these 3 attacks share the same attack power whilst lacking a defence-piercing effect, paired with how often you fight enemies with a defence stat in the late to end game, and Bombette sadly gets outclassed by almost every other partner in terms of both damage output and FP efficiency 😥

Man, while the writing today was great as always, I can’t help but always find talk about what rpg parties plan on doing after a game is over to be really bittersweet. Maybe it’s just me, but I always want the adventures together to keep continuing on, y’know? So one day, she managed to randomly pull of the flagpole glitch and we had no idea how that happened and given how difficult it is to pull of, we never replicated it either. I only learned much, much later how rare that was.

I hope you mention it next video. But my favorite part of Bowser’s castle which I didn’t realize until fairly recently, is now the music gets more intense the further you get. I love when games do this
I can imagine how tramuatizing it must've been for first-time players to see the Anti Guys in this game. If you went out of your way to fight the lone one in the Toy Box, you'd think that would be it for them. Then, the game has the balls to pull this trick if you fail that door's challenge and spring three of them on you! If I somehow got this far as a kid, I know they would've scarred me for life.
I consider the anti guy unit the second super boss in the game since they are an optional fight, either way all of them combined do 30 damage regular attack, 36 acrobat attack more then any boss can do, wow. Also bombette is very useful for this boss because she's all damage and sushie too with water block and tidal wave (if you know how to do the button trick). In other news I successfully used peril strats on this boss, took a few of attempts but MAN was that satisfying.
I knew we were going to do the anti-guy unit...something I never touched in any of my playthroughs. Despite my wonky short term memory skills, the quiz was easy enough and I didn't want to mess around with finding out what would happen if I deliberately lost, (I was assuming an insta-kill) so I didn't know they existed until Emile's first LP.
I kinda realized that black shy guys kinda look like the grim reaper, at least compared to anything else in Mario. I wonder if that was intentional. If only they carried a scythe to really sell the idea.

The Anti Guy Squad is terrifying, but damn, you soloed them easy! Wish there was a means to make Mario carry 20 items like in TTYD, the Repel Gels are items I've very reluctant to use because of how rare they are, reverse them for more dangerous bosses. If there's one thing I'd change in this game for a remake/remaster, it would give Mario the ability to carry more items.
Nothing is more dangerous than the Final Master and the 3 Anti-Guys. Both of Bowser's final fights are easier, and Final Bowser may be able to dispel the repel gel (I'm unsure because I never used a Repel Gel against him, but I know he dispelled my Jump Charge once).
The Bowser doors be like "WHAAAAAAAAAAA???🙀you did the thing I thought was IMPOSSIBLE🙀i _guess_ I have to manually let you through" ummmm... No you don't?? 🤨 Your one job was to do the opposite of that, not bestow challenges backed by chivalry. the _real_ Bowser would never uphold dumb promises
Still kinda weird how this game made dry bones weak to fire when the platformers made part of their gimmick their RESISTANCE to fire flowers. That said, while I love modern dry bones in 3d, when it comes to 2d I love the old smw design that paper Mario uses with no jaw

You know, I find it strange that even this deep into the game you're still finding Super Shrooms and Maple Syrups. By now there's no way they're as valuable as they used to be, but I guess that's what happens when you standard items jump from ten to fifty.
You know, the fact that Emile used Power Bomb and not Mega Bomb kinda triggers me. We have yet to see that move, and he even called Power Bomb for Mega Bomb...Such a Mega Mistake
You know what's funny? The day I watched this video which was the after release, was the day I finally beat Super Mario Bros. for the first time in my life. I'm 33 years old, and never once have I beaten this game. The closest I ever came was dying to Bowser in 8-4 on the GBA rerelease. So Chuggaaconroy mentioning the original Super Mario Bros. really got a smile out of me.
I believe I originally saw Chuggaaconroy's videos during Super Mario Sunshine and paper Mario the thousand Year door I think... But that was when I was first introduced to TH-cam as a whole

I compared the strategies used for the fight from the first LP to this one and Spoilers for those who want to see both: Man, It was so different from the stat spread across hp, fp, and bp, first from 45hp 40fp probably max bp to 30hp max fp and bp. The actual strategy here to use triple dip really highlights the badge well. In the previous to take advantage of the anti-guys weakness to time stop and paralysis was also good too albeit failing for couple of them with zap tap. Funny how the spell works out in both too. But seeing the differences really shows how Chuggaaconroy changed up the fight. Yeah it did show that here he was really overpowered here but man did I learn a lot, especially since I would the fight the first time Chuggaaconroy did the fight. Would really try triple dip here.
Part 3 of Bowser's castle. We're about halfway through at this point, and it won't be much longer before the final confrontation dawns. I'd estimate that there are about 2 episodes left after this - one for the rest of the dungeon, and then the finale. It's been a long journey to reach this point, and the only thing standing in our way is... A skippable superboss. Oh boy, this is going to be a thing. I guess it is just a punishment for failing a fairly easy quiz. Most of the people who are going to be expericing this fight, are the one who would want to try their hand at it anyway. Let's see how Emile does. I have faith.
the anti guy squad makes me think of the anti guys you fight in luigis challenge master quest in the shy guys toy box, its a fight with 5 anti guys the other 4 being the other variations of shy guys found in the chapter and my favorite ones are the medi guy being renamed "malpractice guy" and the spy guy being "007 guy" and of course its difficulty is leagues above this one

So, gonna point out, but the Anti-Guy Unit, I didn't know that they existed until I saw your old video about that Chugga. I legit NEVER knew that they had ever existed until that. Now that I know, I usually spare the Anti-Guy at the Toy Box so that I can tattle on the ones that are here. Speaking of, remember when I mentioned that there are a Total of 5 Repel Gels? I used three of them up during the fight, and just kept spamming Bombette's Power Bomb to whittle them down. Other than that, I leveled up during that fight, and upped my FP to 45.
Thinking about how the last time Emile played through this area, he was complaining about George Bush, and talking about how Obama was about to be elected....How interesting
iirc, I did actually get double star points on the anti guy unit. I had a combination of time out or lullaby, and watt's paralysis to keep them from attacking.
that moment of realisation when solving a puzzle is both the most & least rewarding feelings ever, on the one hand theres the example emile mentioned, but on the other hand there will be occasions where the puzzle should be obvious but because of one little thing, for example in botw one of the puzzles had you place some balls in the correct holes and there were 4 rows of 5 holes, to figure out which hole the ball goes in you use the pattern on the wall, the problem with this is that similar patterns are literally all over the shrine so i didnt even know what wall to look at, then i ended up looking it up and i was so annoyed cuz i couldve figured it out myself if the hint didnt blend into the background when its supposed to be in your face, the lights shouldve been a different color, but they were the exact same as the blue light throughout every shrine either that or they were a borerline invisilbe orange color, was it still fairly obvious? only when you already know what your looking for. Thats is one pussle in botw i hate with a passion, i dont have the best eyesight like at all, and that was the only puzzle it caused a issue for and i dont even feel like its my eyesights fault, if it was it wouldve happened more than once cuz i did every shrine, dont get me wrong tho love botw Im just good at ranting about little things
You didn't use mega bomb, you used power bomb twice. I don't think we'll ever see Bombette's ultimate move.

I hope you mention it next video. But my favorite part of Bowser’s castle which I didn’t realize until fairly recently, is now the music gets more intense the further you get. I love when games do this
I can imagine how tramuatizing it must've been for first-time players to see the Anti Guys in this game. If you went out of your way to fight the lone one in the Toy Box, you'd think that would be it for them. Then, the game has the balls to pull this trick if you fail that door's challenge and spring three of them on you! If I somehow got this far as a kid, I know they would've scarred me for life.

I consider the anti guy unit the second super boss in the game since they are an optional fight, either way all of them combined do 30 damage regular attack, 36 acrobat attack more then any boss can do, wow. Also bombette is very useful for this boss because she's all damage and sushie too with water block and tidal wave (if you know how to do the button trick).
In other news I successfully used peril strats on this boss, took a few of attempts but MAN was that satisfying.

I might be mistaken, but I think Chuggaa accidently used super bomb when he meant to use mega bomb against the anti guys unit.
I knew we were going to do the anti-guy unit...something I never touched in any of my playthroughs. Despite my wonky short term memory skills, the quiz was easy enough and I didn't want to mess around with finding out what would happen if I deliberately lost, (I was assuming an insta-kill) so I didn't know they existed until Emile's first LP.
The timing on that spell for the anti guys. I live for that.

The Anti Guy Squad is terrifying, but damn, you soloed them easy! Wish there was a means to make Mario carry 20 items like in TTYD, the Repel Gels are items I've very reluctant to use because of how rare they are, reverse them for more dangerous bosses. If there's one thing I'd change in this game for a remake/remaster, it would give Mario the ability to carry more items.
Actually, there is! The Strange Sack (or an equivalent) has been added in a couple ROMHacks, including imo the best one, Dark Star Edition.

Nothing is more dangerous than the Final Master and the 3 Anti-Guys. Both of Bowser's final fights are easier, and Final Bowser may be able to dispel the repel gel (I'm unsure because I never used a Repel Gel against him, but I know he dispelled my Jump Charge once).

Still kinda weird how this game made dry bones weak to fire when the platformers made part of their gimmick their RESISTANCE to fire flowers. That said, while I love modern dry bones in 3d, when it comes to 2d I love the old smw design that paper Mario uses with no jaw

You know, the fact that Emile used Power Bomb and not Mega Bomb kinda triggers me. We have yet to see that move, and he even called Power Bomb for Mega Bomb...Such a Mega Mistake
You know what's funny? The day I watched this video which was the after release, was the day I finally beat Super Mario Bros. for the first time in my life. I'm 33 years old, and never once have I beaten this game. The closest I ever came was dying to Bowser in 8-4 on the GBA rerelease. So Chuggaaconroy mentioning the original Super Mario Bros. really got a smile out of me.

I compared the strategies used for the fight from the first LP to this one and Spoilers for those who want to see both:
Man, It was so different from the stat spread across hp, fp, and bp, first
from 45hp 40fp probably max bp to 30hp max fp and bp. The actual strategy here to use triple dip really highlights the badge well. In the previous to take advantage of the anti-guys weakness to time stop and paralysis was also good too albeit failing for couple of them with zap tap. Funny how the spell works out in both too.
But seeing the differences really shows how Chuggaaconroy changed up the fight. Yeah it did show that here he was really overpowered here but man did I learn a lot, especially since I would the fight the first time Chuggaaconroy did the fight.
Would really try triple dip here.
I doubt Chugga could pull it off given his progress, but if he could pad out the series for 4 more episodes, that'd be kinda nice

I'd estimate that there are about 2 episodes left after this - one for the rest of the dungeon, and then the finale. It's been a long journey to reach this point, and the only thing standing in our way is...

I guess it is just a punishment for failing a fairly easy quiz. Most of the people who are going to be expericing this fight, are the one who would want to try their hand at it anyway. Let's see how Emile does. I have faith.
the anti guy squad makes me think of the anti guys you fight in luigis challenge master quest in the shy guys toy box, its a fight with 5 anti guys the other 4 being the other variations of shy guys found in the chapter and my favorite ones are the medi guy being renamed "malpractice guy" and the spy guy being "007 guy" and of course its difficulty is leagues above this one

So, gonna point out, but the Anti-Guy Unit, I didn't know that they existed until I saw your old video about that Chugga. I legit NEVER knew that they had ever existed until that. Now that I know, I usually spare the Anti-Guy at the Toy Box so that I can tattle on the ones that are here. Speaking of, remember when I mentioned that there are a Total of 5 Repel Gels? I used three of them up during the fight, and just kept spamming Bombette's Power Bomb to whittle them down.
Other than that, I leveled up during that fight, and upped my FP to 45.

iirc, I did actually get double star points on the anti guy unit. I had a combination of time out or lullaby, and watt's paralysis to keep them from attacking.

The hardest fight in the game
that moment of realisation when solving a puzzle is both the most & least rewarding feelings ever, on the one hand theres the example emile mentioned, but on the other hand there will be occasions where the puzzle should be obvious but because of one little thing, for example in botw one of the puzzles had you place some balls in the correct holes and there were 4 rows of 5 holes, to figure out which hole the ball goes in you use the pattern on the wall, the problem with this is that similar patterns are literally all over the shrine so i didnt even know what wall to look at, then i ended up looking it up and i was so annoyed cuz i couldve figured it out myself if the hint didnt blend into the background when its supposed to be in your face, the lights shouldve been a different color, but they were the exact same as the blue light throughout every shrine either that or they were a borerline invisilbe orange color, was it still fairly obvious? only when you already know what your looking for. Thats is one pussle in botw i hate with a passion, i dont have the best eyesight like at all, and that was the only puzzle it caused a issue for and i dont even feel like its my eyesights fault, if it was it wouldve happened more than once cuz i did every shrine, dont get me wrong tho love botw Im just good at ranting about little things
