- I'm looking at FREE sewing patterns inspired by the Great British Sewing Bee. I've found a couple of free shirt patterns & dress patterns, along with the usual discounts & giveaways for 2 sewing machines. This is Day 77 of 100 Days of Sewing.

I think Rebecca should have had garment of the week even though Ralph’s looked good from a distance it was ill fitted over the chest area.
Such a shame about Serena’s “bubbling” because it did look great apart from that.
I didn’t think that Andrew should have gone but I suppose we only see 1 hour of 2 days worth of sewing. Such a shame to see any of the sewing guys going but it is getting more exciting as we come closer to the final 🤓🏴
It really was a shame about Serena;s fabric wasn't it & you're right we only see the edited version, so hard to see what the judges see sometimes. 🤗
Another great review of the GBSB and I agree that some of the comments and scoring don't seem to reflect the finished garments. I really appreciate your blogs, they must take a lot of you time.

Even though I can’t watch this show I enjoy your wrap up! That seems like a generous amount of time to make that shirt. But I guess I don’t understand how experienced the contestants are or if the Bee is about speediness. Nice video Sam!!
Thanks Saremy, some of the contestants are more experienced than others, Raph for instance only learned to sew last year, though he works in the textile industry. I don't think that I could cut out, sew & pattern match a pattern that I'd never sewn before in that timescale, especially with a camera crew in my face & the judges interrupting 🤣

The judging seemed to be a bit strange this week I think, I’d like Andrew to have stayed going by his efforts so far although it seems like it’s all down to how they perform on the day which is a shame, I loved his scarf dress, right up my alley!

@@Frugalisama Hi Sam, I contacted Sue at Fieldwork and it turned out you had to subscribe first, which I then did, and which gave me access to free joggers pattern with a code. From that I was able to go back in and purchase the 2 patterns i wanted.
Also love the top into a dress hack and will definitely try this as I have purchased loads of lovely viscoses recently. Too many sewing patterns and not enough time 😊
