This may be a silly question: why don't you do rolled seams on the ruffle pieces first, and sew that hem before gathering? Just seems like that would be easier, but not sure, figured there was a reason you do it that way. Thanks for the tutorials, love them!
Not a silly question - I suppose the best answer is that the order of operations is not set in stone. I just sew the however feels intuitive to me, but we can always tweek the process if it feels better another way. 😉
I have not done an fba myself, but here is a good blog resource on how to do it: www.ellieandmac.com/blogs/blog/how-to-do-a-full-bust-adjustment-on-the-bookclub-top
Loved the tutorial.😍😍😍😍Thank you so, so much. Just to see if anyone had the same problems I have to tell you I had problems with the ruffle on the round part of the seams and my sleeves were too big for the armholes and its ruffles were too small. I printed the size small. Sth went wrong!! I have to fix it. The rest was ok. I'm still making it.
Thanks for the comment -- glad you liked the video! ❤️ I do remember that the curved hem ruffle was a little tricky and required some guesswork as there are no detailed instructions. Sometimes you have to set in sleeves with basting stitches to ease them into armholes (my least favorite sewing task 😆). Hoping you have a super final outcome!
The pattern is beautiful. Thank you for the video. How is the fit of the blouse? I am interested in the sleeve fit, I see that they are a little snug...
Thank you -- yes, I do love the style of this blouse! The fit of the sleeves was a bit snug up top -- and I have a relatively petite build. I would probably grade up the top and lower the armscye if I make it again. You can always make a quick muslin of the bodice (without neck fastener or ruffle) to check the fit and see where you might need to adjust. Hope this helps!
May I ask why you black out your size ? It would be beneficial for us to gauge the actual finished garment with the stated size. You are beautiful and have an amazing body. I am close to your size and find I have chosen sometimes 3xl size for something to fit properly. No body shaming allowed.

@@Sew-Happy Thank you for your fast reply. Love your videos, please do continue to do them.
awesome!
Glad you like it! 😁
Great pattern! (It would be easier to hem the ruffles first I think.)
Yes, lovely pattern. It certainly would be easier to hem ruffles first. 😉
Can i please make a special request for sew along ? mid rise skinny jeans from free pattern Tiana's closet. would be forever grateful thanks :)

For Tiana's patterns, I believe I always sew the smallest size. I agree it's helpful to know the size others have sewn -- I don't mind sharing. :)
