    A frugal alternative to printing pdf patterns is to project the A0 or projector file onto your TV screen. Fiddle with the %to get the test square right then trace the pieces off onto tissue or tracing paper. Recently discovered!

    Thanks, Sam! I have only made the Plaintain Tee… it was a little too scoop necked for me, but I like it anyway. Once I tried to change the neckline, and raise it a bit, but I am not sure If I did it very successfully. I haven’t tried any of the others, but will give them a go. On my quest to getting the T-shirt that is right for me! They are good projects for a Beginner+ 😃

    The Love Notions patterns have a chart in the instructions listing the specific pages to print for the garment option you are wanting to make. That way you don’t have to print and put together all the pages. Only print the pages you need. 😉.

    A nice refresher on familiar patterns & some new ones too! Thanks Sam, I will try the ones I do not have. Fathers day has just passed & I made some tees for the Hubby. Actually it was quite easy & I can't think why I was intimidated. Ellie & Mac Men's basic tee, Shawl collar with short sleeves & straight fit Reglan. Sinclair Kai & Elbe Sage Tee. I used basic tee shirting with about 30% stretch from my local shop costing about $6 to $8 each & he has quality tees comparable to about a $20 tee. He loved all of them & did not miss the old tired ones in the bin, LOL.

    I like that Plantain tee, I've not seen it before. I'm working on a second Galaxy right now for the contest-love that pattern-and I have a Kirsten Kimono tee cut out that might make it in too, if I'm quick. I agree, i find it well worth my time to make tee shirts so they're just the way I like them. (And when you work in a fabric store you get first crack at the remnant bin and the clearance!)

    Hi Sam thanks for this T shirt review. Funnily enough I just made the Greco Tee on Saturday- I made the XL (lockdown hasn’t been kind to me !!) and I found that it was too big over the bust (measure 42 high and 44 full). It was easy enough though to trim it down a wee bit. I’d make it again but grade from L to XL in future. I didn’t do the binding so I’m off to watch your tutorial on that. I stabilised the the shoulders though.
    I’ve also made the LDT as a dress with a cowl neck and Mandy Boat a couple of times too
    Also have the Stellan Tee pattern but not made it yet - think it’ll be too high at the neck - (but I know that I could lower that anyway)
    Next up is a Sinclair Raglan Tee (just because I fancy something different)
    Cheers 🤓🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Fantastic video as always Sam. I have been wondering about the Galaxy tee, would it be possible to make the sleeves in a woven fabric? I have a ready to wear T with broderie anglaise puffy sleeves and a skinny ribbed binding around the "cuff", it is looking rather tattered and I would love to make a replacement.

    • @Frugalisama
      @Frugalisama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi - glad that you enjoyed it. Yes I don't see why you can't add a woven fabric for the sleeves, I think that that would look lovey, so long as you have something stretchy for the cuff - in fact I did this on the Vera top which I talk about in this video th-cam.com/video/8ugFf1bkVpc/w-d-xo.html
