ABOUT JAY LENO'S GARAGE
A new video every Monday! Visit Jay Leno's Garage, the Emmy-winning series where Jay Leno gives car reviews, motorcycle reviews, compares cars, and shares his passion and expertise on anything that rolls, explodes, and makes noise. Classic cars, restomods, super cars like the McLaren P1, sports cars like Porsche 918 Spyder and Camaro Z28, cafe racers, vintage cars, and much, much more. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
The smile on their face while driving like two kids in a candy store (same smile here). Best ever looking tow truck. Greetings from Norway -
Have you seen Matt's Off-road Recovery?
The Titan revolving light has a no spark housing and would have been used where explosive materials might be in the air like grain, petrochemicals etc... cool piece. Nice rod. Cheers 🇨🇦
That truck is hilarious! Reminds me of when I worked on my uncle's farm & ranch and the place was littered with old trucks like this; many of which were still working trucks. Pity the original flathead engine was not retained; they have a special sound!
I had a 1949 Mercury 1 T and it always needed a valve job. 50 MPH was tops. Very smooth when first driven after the several valve jobs.
Yeah, a flathead Ford has such a unique voice. I think it's because the middle two cylinders on each side are siamesed into a single port.
That they do.
Jay's impression of Germans is priceless 😁
And it never gets old. Where's Ahhhhhnold?
You can always tell when Jay genuinely likes a vehicle! He is acting like a kid while driving that beast! 😂
The Airstream camper episode is my favorite. Jay owed somebody a favor?. Only explanation I can come up with.😅 so funny.
Its pretty loud, not only from the engine, but all the auxiliary stuff shaking around, VERY cool.
Getting that patina right is a real art. What a great job!
not a fan of rust...errr patina but this looks kinda cool.
I can't recall how many Jay Leno videos I have seen, so so many excellent ones, but this is the first time I've felt I had to comment. I love Jay's enjoyment of things like Panhards and pre-55 Mopars, Bristols, and generally kind of off-beat vehicles, but I particularly love this one and its owner. Jay has shown immaculately restored Duesenbergs, also unbelievable unrestored cars, but this is not in any way authentic and yet is incredibly authentic in its vibe not only visually but reviving the whole hot rod ethos of the period they were not worried about any ideologies or purity, they wanted to make something cool out of the parts they had at hand. A perfectly restored classic rare vehicle may have more to do with access to money and knowledge. This has more to do with taste, artistic vision, and creativity. Thumbs up
Very cool truck, and maybe it's just how the mic was set up, but it sounds like it leaves a trail of nuts and bolts bouncing down the road everywhere it goes. Also loved that old hook-style door latch dangling next to the driver's head - DOT approved no doubt! The more you look at a vehicle like this, the more interesting details you find.
Pretty sure this thing is a rattle trap, not much sound dampening going on.
Definitely one of the coolest and original cars you’ve had on the show. Very well done!
Almost exactly like my 51 f2
Rat rod.
Mine has a 500 caddy and rear air ride.
More fun driving than my classic cars!!!
Lot of fun!!
I love the inside door latch. Thanks for showing us this rolling piece of history.
What a great truck! Love it! You never know what you're gonna get week-by-week on the garage! Thanks, Jay and crew for another entertaining episode! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
P.S.; Coker would probably have the period-look radials for this puppy...
The smile and laugh from Jay when the hood not just opens, but 'rattles' open like there's nuts and bolts falling off everywhere, is worth a million!
Well, as their neighbour, in Germany's defence, they have no speed limit on a lot of their highways. It is very important to have very safe and very reliable cars on the road. No matter how fast you're going, someone will always take you over going 50km faster. So, every part has to be up to spec.
Jay having FAR more fun driving this than all the million dollar cars.
The front axle where the bumper used to be - hilarious! 😅
That was fun. He owns a rat rod and his own western town. Life goals accomplished! Thanks Jay👍👍😄
There's probably not a bloke on this planet that wouldn't want to own that truck. It's wonderful... love it. Thanks Jay. John
Dude looks like Bill Maher’s rugged younger brother
I was thinking Luke Duke stole cooters rat rod😂
That checks off all the boxes of what I love in a cool vehicle. I just wish I had the skills to put something together. Great job.
Never too late to learn something new.
It’s not that hard. Set aside engines and transmissions, just consider them big parts for now, everything else is just big legos. Start bolting things together - it’s how every car was ever built.
I had an old Volkswagen Beetle, and changed the tires from bias-ply to radial. The road into the place where I changed the tires had a switchback, hard right-left-right. On the way in, I knew how much steering to give it. On the way out, it was completely different. It felt like it was glued to the road. Dramatic difference.
Now there's a truck that should be made in to a Hot Wheels. Thanks Jay. 😁
it could have played straight away in Spielberg's "Duel"
What a great build! That truck would be welcome anywhere 😁
I love all your episodes especially your restoration blogs. And how you incorporate humor in your show too cause I also love your humor.
"The back-up camera is a Brownie" -ba-boom-ching Hilarious. I wonder how many people caught that one, lol
Hilarious! It would be impossible to drive this without a huge grin on your face! Thanks for sharing it.
What a great truck! Rat rod yes, but it's rolling art. Modern cars have all the latest technology, but frankly are boring. Love this stuff!
That interior is a work of art. The whole thing but I appreciate the beautiful colors of the cockpit.
What an amalgamation of inspired idiocy! I love it.
Every second of B roll is just wonderful to watch, what a 110 percent legit ride
When Mr. Leno says something is hilarious that is a good thing. He really enjoyed this one and so did I. Thanks Jay & Brett!
Today I was with the grandson (in his 70's?) of the original owner of that truck. He lives here in San Luis Obispo, CA. There were 3 other pickups similar to that one with the same signage on the side. They showed me a photo of one of them. Carissa Plains is about an hour from here.
I love the screen door latch you can see over Jays left shoulder in some of the shots!!! Classic
Love the pressed tin headliner.
I own a 1950 Ford F-6 Firetruck. I love driving it. Always fun!
I'm surprised Jay hasn't built a rat rod out of all the leftovers from the many restorations his shop has done.
Thank you Mr. Leno for another great car review🙏🏽
I saw something like this at Sturgis a few weeks ago. I love these rat rods.
I just love unusual, quirky stuff like this!
What a fantastic wagon, Keep the Range Rover, I'd have one of them if I had a garage big enough to keep it in. I doesn't look like it would enjoy a British winter outside
love it, a work of genius and art through and through,if it looks right...
Gotta love it. Boys and their toys. What a smile.
Jay's German accent. 😂❤ Really not bad for a half Italian, half Scottish guy. 😊
I'm enjoying watching Jay age. I Will be So sad when he is gone.
I had to stop when they rolled out. That thing runs and drives and Jay is driving it!!!! Nice ride. I can't wait for the rest of this video.
Another great video...keep 'em coming Jay!!
Hehe, just looks like fun. Thanks Jay! 👍
What a beautiful rat rod - best I have ever seen!
The imagination and mechanical skill to bring off such a vehicle is something I wished I had.
This rod is absolutely perfect ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love it so much
Super cool. Thank you !
What a beast! Love it!
Excellent video, as always Jay!
Jay your a great car guy. Love see what your going to have next.
Absolutely Awesome Smiles Per Mile!! Love That Driver’s Side Door Lock so the door doesn’t fling open. Great Video Thank You 🙏
You better smile when your driving a rusty Land Yacht.

This is true recycling love the use of wat they found 🤙🏽

Outstanding Jay for sure.
What a great looking truck!
I love it. It's perfect.
Now that’s a picture right there. Wow.
I don't know if it's the truck or Jays comments but I had a smile on my face the whole video 😅
That was fun! Thank you!
I love everything about it.
I love this thing to pieces, and I'd give a testicle to drive something like that in DC area.
Great build. One the best cars on the show in a while says I
Awesome to see Jay driving the kind of one off's I used to see on TST
That rat rod is Awesome!.. Love it! ❤️
one of the very best guests on your show ,what a cool fella
Wow, very unique and cool, it looks like it is based off of a Monogram custom model kit or something. Really cool.
Great show.
You don't have to worry about it getting scratched. Love all the lttle touches
Cool one Jay, thanks. 😎👍😎
Biggest grin I've seen on your face Jay!😂
Jay really seemed to be enjoying himself in this one! Great show!
Super Cool Right There.!!
Love it, love it, loooove it !
Just an amazing truck!
That was Cool J thank you so much. And by the way. Thank you for coming to Laughlin my family and I really loved it. And my daughter says hello.
That thing is awesome!
Just Cool and Old School !!!
❤Thanks Jay 👍😎✊
That car looks amazing. I wonder how long it takes to get it fully recharged.
Saludos desde mexico
I think Jay really liked driving that rod.looks good.
You're looking great after the fire, Jay! 👍🏻
This thing is awesome!
Great episode, great F-6
Cool build 😎
First priority of a car build is having fun. They accomplished that!
What a good looking truck/ car
Thanks Jay
Really neat truck. I would have kept the flathead, but Mr. Gregory had boxes to check. Commercial radials will look fine on the truck.
I'm not a huge fan of rat rods, but I appreciate the attitude and spirit of the owner. I also appreciate that rat rods were originally a reaction to the extremely high cost of building "show quality" street rods or customs. I don't like the obscene prices that many old vehicles are commanding nowadays. Best wishes to Brett and his truck.
Cool Ride.
Another guy that knows the value of a good snap front shirt. Makes him alright in my book.
awesome truck
Lot of fun, and I'm sure the guy was a little nervous. But I think it's safe to say Jay might be aware of the virtues of roller rockers.
