2022 CFITT 300 Bikepacking Off Road Ultra Race

- Hello Everyone,
We take on another one of Singletrack Samurai's Ultra Endurance Races to end out the year and it was a good one with perfect weather. We did the 14th Annual Cross Florida Individual Time Trial (CFITT) in the team category.
This an awesome route that really highlights the diversity of Florida and dishes up awesome singletrack and dirt backroads. The pavement sections that are on this route are either on paved bicycle paths or smaller backroads with less vehicle traffic.

For those not familiar with this type of racing, when the clock starts it never stops until you finish. So it's up to each racer to choose how they want to race. The top racers will keep riding through the night and won't stop until the finish line. Then you have people like us who will ride to a certain point then sleep for a little while and continue until reaching the finish.

An event like this requires a certain amount of dedication, perseverance, and a wee bit of insanity. LOL
Last summer, I did my first century (on my fully-rigid MTB - a mix of dirt/pavement and about 2500' elevation gain) and it took me a solid eight hours. Longest ride of my life...

Thanks, much appreciated. We saw you all in your sweet campsite. Sure were a bunch of hunters in the ONF, one of them gave Michele a hard time for not wearing any orange, she was carrying a vest, then put it on. From then on all the hunters waved back at us, LOL.
@@PedalPowerAdventures yeah think I'll invest in an orange helmet or cover for the future. Pesky hunters! LOL

I need to look up this trail across Florida. I've done C2C trail both ways but this one looks different.
This route defiantly has more “Adventure” than the C2C and would totally recommend it. All of the off road and mountain bike trail sections really add to it. Singletrack Samurai also has a more gravel focused cross florida route called the King’s Road that is around 200 miles and worth checking out. Just curious why y’all stoped to sleep. That’s definitely a no sleep ride
Totally agree this can be a no sleep ride, however we didn’t feel the need to ride it without sleeping, just a person choice. Thanks for watching!
