One thing to do next time you install an O2 sensor on an exhaust. If you can't get to the connector to unplug it, turn the sensor a few turns backwards before you install it. That way you aren't putting any undue stress on the wiring by having the wires twisted after you get it back on.
You took the front fender off to fit the 21" wheel. I'm going to modify my Bolt like this and since they haven't changed the body style when it comes time to buy a new one just put all the stock parts back on the old one to use as a trade.👍
I have the V&H exhaust and the DynoJet with the V&H intake. I have the software on a laptop to change the mapping if needed without removing the Dynojet. I put the stock muffler back on because of the noise when living at an apartment. Now I have a house this changes the playing field. Noise probably not comfortable for long distance rides but for around town okay. Need noise cancelling ear plugs.
It looks way better than the stock, for sure. I really want one, but when you add in the cost of a fuel controller it comes out to a pretty substantial price. I don't care too much about the power of the motor, since this is basically a street cruiser and not a rice rocket, but man that slip on LOOKS SO COOL

Fortunately I live in Louisiana with only 5 parishes requiring emissions. California is terrible with this. They're also strict with firearms as well. Arizona on the other hand is both bike and gun friendly.

This is some awesome stuff. Though I do have feedback for the presentation style. Your videos are lengthy and filled with lots of extra info that's not necessarily useful for the end goal. I wonder if you prepare & practice for the presentation before recording?
wicked job on this bike.....very tasteful and custom. Everythings perfect...except the speedo....anything old school coming out for the speedo? Digital with dials? Otherwise really loving what you did.

Whats that thing called that's filling the gap between the tank and the seat? That really makes the bike look a lot better.
I am gonna be getting a Bolt by the end of the year. I love the back end of this one without the rear fender over the wheel. and the way the seat is. Do you sell any type of kit to get to make it look like this?
If i'm going to piece this, what should i get first? Slip-on, fc, airfilter? Will I need fc if i don't replace airfilter?
When you do the exhaust mod you must do a fuel controller as well. If you just do the intake, you can wait to get the fuel controller. Hope this helps! 928-680-6660
what kind of paint u use for the exhaust brackets .I'm trying to paint mine black like the ones on this beast. not sure what paint I can use .looks like a high gloss
Where do you get the wiring that's inside the exhaust shield? I love the look.
Those are some honeycomb screens we had custom made for this build. Not for sale in that size but you can trim your own from another screen kit we have.
Hey quick question. I've listened to other V&H Competition slip on videos and they do not seem to resonate with just a (desirable) deep growl as the one in the above video. Is there something to that? I noticed that the videos which showed the less desirable V&H Competition sound also had stock intake; and yours has after-market. So, is there something to that or is the difference based on sound recording quality?
+Mark X The sound is a combination of everything together, including the fuel controller. But, the exhaust is the major sound factor. I would take recording quality definitely into consideration when trying to order online. We recommend hearing in person and choosing then when possible.
Okay, good to know. And, may I ask, what fuel controller is installed?

I thought about that. Being new to the bike scene, I wasn't sure whether controller, tuner, and fuelpak, were the same thing. Hence, the question. Thank you for engaging with me on the topic.
The terminology is generally the same but some controllers do different things. For example, Vance&Hines sells different fuel controller under "FuelPak" but they control different things for different models. I recommend finding one you feel the most comfortable looking into and lots of research, if you want solid piece of mind.
Where can i find a clutch cover like that, black matte without writing on it ??? Its a cover cover ?
We had the whole cover set painted. You can probably find them at the star motorcycles website in accessories.
if you have original stock air intake, and do you install only de exhaust.

+Daniel Galaz We recommend installing the FuelPak to make sure your air system is tuned and the combo will cause no harm to the bike.

We unfortunately do not have the specs on the front wheel but it was called the 'Evolution" wheel when we ordered.

What's the torque setting on the band clamp?
I suggest calling a Yamaha dealer or tighten it down pretty good. The support bracket will help with it staying in place.

Is it legal?
Its Vance & Hines. a real company. notice how you still have to plug in the smog equipment? Im in California and so far there is not smog inspections for motorcycles that I know of. Im sure for the current laws it is perfectly legal and you could have your dealer install it.
Ok, I'm pretty much a newbie at bikes, but first of all, I think I've seen that muffler in a junkyard heap. Just sayin. and secondly, I don't believe that it should be blowing out black smoke like that. Not a very good "promotional video" if you ask me. But like I said I'm a newbie and don't know a much. But other than that it sounds very nice.
With the addition of the fuel pack, air filter and exhaust, it breathes a lot better. So with those additions, you will be getting more fuel, hence the black smoke. All you have to do is go in and remap the fuel pack. Plus a good set of spark plugs will help tremendously.
Yes keep ruining a once perfectly good motorcycle. Kids with money should never buy motorcycles. They just ruin them by stacking all this garbage on making the bike look like a bitsa shed build. Thumbs down for this one.
