Incredibly well explained, and much effort put into this video. Thank You for sharing. Also of note, there were many other 'tips' on how to remove panels, parts, etc.
Hi Carl, thanks for this explanation. From my point of view the power connection on the module is not correct. There are owners who plug their charger in this plug during the winter period. This means the module will be powered during this time. Kind regards, Edward
Hi Edward, thank you 🙏 I had not considered this, but owners could just remove the inline fuse on the Innovv red power cable during winter charging. Thank you for highlighting this. I will add a note in the video description highlighting the fuse for owners that use the DIN plug during winter ❄️. Kindest regards Carl
This is a fantastic product which I have fitted to my 1250GS. From bitter experience, I can advise it is important to mark the left and right mirror cables BEFORE mounting the control unit with 3M fixers. Once glued down there is no way of ascertaining which cable connects to which mirror as the wiring plan is on the BOTTOM of the control unit. It’s not replicated in the instructions. Separating 3M pads to get to the wiring diagram after it has been stuck down ain’t the easiest thing.
Hi John, thank you for highlighting this, I hope owners carrying out the installation follow this advice. Hence it was mentioned in the video. Great system which every motorcyclist should get to experience. Have a great weekend Kindest regards Carl

Hi Carl. Thanks for the "tutorials". Great job. (Special mention for the Ride Modes Table). I have a question about my 1250GS. Not related to this topic. Every first start (no mater the time of day), I have white smoke coming out; then it spits water out of the exhaust (like a shower) and it also flows under the exhaust valve. During the day, after each stop/start the phenomenon no longer occurs. The GS is almost new (1y, 9000 km) and the problem occurred after the first 1500 km's. At the garage, they tell me "condensation". But I'm not convinced. Any idea where this could come from?
Hello and good morning, thank you for your comments 🙏, much appreciated. I presume you regularly check your coolant water level and it’s correct and does not need topping up. ? In which case your dealership is partly correct it’s probably the effect of several factors leading to condensation buildup. Bike storage location and day / night temperature variations have an effect as does our current weather fluctuations. And of course how we wash and clean our motorbikes. Also the modern catalytic converter’s do take several minutes to warm up and start working correctly and during this period it’s not unusual to see vapour coming from the exhaust. Also how long we ride our bikes before parking them up has an influence, short journeys are not good as you are probably aware. If your coolant level is correct I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. I hope this helps, best wishes Carl 🙋🏻♂️
@@justthewayitis Hello Carl. Thank you for you answer. The only thing I am sure of (and confident about) is that the engine runs perfectly and there is no loss of cooling fluid. For the rest: regardless of the summer conditions or the mileage of the day, the situation is identical: revving, smoke and then water. And this after trips of several days (300-400km/day) or a short ride of 50 km. I agree with you: we do not know how the catalytic converters are configured to meet Euro5 standards... My only hope was that my garage would pass on my report to BMW Motorrad (it was my periodic maintenance 2 days ago). But they did not do it. I do not know if I could send this directly to the factory for example. I am not paranoid, but I do not see any other motorcycle doing the same thing (I am a member of a 250 BMW motorcycle club). Thanks again for your precise and detailed answer. Good luck with your videos and drive carefully.
All BMW dealership have an internal system for referring technical questions to a technical team at BMW for answering questions like this. I would recommend you request your question being sent to that team for an answer. They will then receive a reply which you should then be given. Let me know once they reply Carl
Hi, good morning, yes it can, it’s an easy system to install on the XR. Looks great too when installed using the addition install kit that comes from Weiser-Technik.
Correct, but this system is really very simple to install and use. But It’s not a replacement for Mirror, Signal, check, manoeuvre. Have a great weekend, Carl
Blind spot, lolz. What happened to the good old-fashioned lifesaver look over your shoulder? People are pathetic now, relying on technology to do what they should be doing themselves.

Hello. Can this system be installed on a 2022 BMW S1000XR in the same way?
