      Don't quote me on this, but I believe that there will be an exhibition tournament prior to the World Cup held in the United States. Those that are involved are the teams that are training in the USA before the World Cup. It sounds like the teams will be: USA, Spain, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Honduras. I might be wrong, but it does sound like the USA and Bosnia will have a friendly before the World Cup :)

      SKA_16 It wasn't the Confederations Cup, but there was a mini friendly tournament held in the USA featuring most of those teams. It was pretty much just a collection of friendlies.

    • @joshr920
      @joshr920 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He's not even good for an American player, in his 53 games in the Premier League he's scored a grand total of 2 goals.

    • @brian060983
      @brian060983 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Josh R
      I have seen many matches with him for the US & he does a really good job. But your right, he hasn't done it good yet in premier League, but it's also his first season, it takes time for most players to get used to the high pace & skillfulness. Just look at Bony from Vitesse. He was the top score in Eredivisie he came to Swansea & have been a huge disappointment.

    • @joshr920
      @joshr920 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's his second season in England, he played for Hull about 3/4 years ago. If you take that one amazing season which might have just been a lucky year, he's scored 19 league goals in 110 games in Europe, that is a very poor record. Bony has been a huge disappointment? What? He's been arguably their best player, 25 goals in total and 5th top scorer in the EPL.

He used to be our main striker and we used to have Dempsey as a CAM and Bradley, Jones as a CDM before the World Cup. Now Altidore is complete bullshit for the National Team. I wish Jozy would play like this against Mexico in October 10

    • @myboyblue4383

      He's lacking confidence. He is still really scared about getting hurt again. The game against Mexico in the CONCACAF Cup was the first time in almost two years I've seen Jozy just have a go from outside the box. This is good because that means he isn't afraid to shoot anymore. Oh and our fans being absolute assholes to him constantly doesn't help.

    That is what I loved about Jurgen Klinsmann. He fielded the best Yanks he could find and take them to Europe to play difficult teams instead of dumb friendlies against CONCACAF punching bags. He was doing good until the MLS started luring our best players away from Europe to play in its mediocre league. That is what caused the USA debacle, not Klinsmann.

  • @shnickel1
    @shnickel1 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think Jozy can be great, but I think his team is harming him. They don't create plays, they don't pass, they just shoot from 40 yards out. The few times he's had plays to him he's actually done something good. But he doesn't get it. And it's frustrating to watch. Jozy's strength is lethal & if he can become a poacher than it's over, and he's shown glimpses of that. I think he can become world class but I personally think we have players who are better at the moment. Just my personal opinion.

    It should have been a penalty kick. It's a continuous violation and in that case the spot that counts is the spot that the violation stops. Meaning that even though he was holding the player outside of the penalty area, he kept doing it inside it and this is where it counts as a violation.
    The second goal for Bosnia was an offside violation.

    Bosnia can't use the excuse that they subbed off to many players, if they then completely ignore the fact that the two best US players Donovan and Dempsey did not play at all.
    Just let it be, it was a good win with a surprising result but it was just a friendly.

  • @SupeRey49

    The US was equal with Mexico, now they surpassed them. Mexico thought the only good team here was the US and took everyone else lightly. Now look at them they got 4th place and have to go to playoffs. You have contributed nothing to this argument other than "the US sucks" or "your players are foreigners". BTW our players aren't foreign, they were born and raised here. There is only two players who were not born in the US, but have American parents.

    " when there is only one GOOD nation"
    Costa Rica has greatly improved since 2006 and could easily make it to the R o 16 next year. They aren't pushovers anymore and play very well. Kicked ass in qualifiers.
    Honduras has improved as well since 2010.
    Mexico at its worst can still beat Greece. Mexico is still good, but not as good as the US and CR. Maybe at Honduras level. Their players aren't playing with any heart. Mexico will be back soon.
    Panama plays a very defensive style like Greece.

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    See there is something me and you agree on. Bosnia does a good starting 11 but the bench isn't that good. The US has many players to choose from in the bench that can work well in the main roster. The US vs Bosnia game is a prime example of that weakness that your team has. You guys need to work on that bench to help support the starters for when WC is here. More play time will help them out alot. It did for us because a mostly reserve team won the gold cup. Some even played during WC qualifiers

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    "So in factual terms if USA didn't win they would be considered worst then india" hahaha. You are the biggest fail troll ever. Have you even seen India play? No, but to put the US down you will claim anything. The fact is that we went to Bosnia with alot of reserves and came out with a win. If you guys wish to do good in the WC you must work on that bench. If your bench can't support the starting 11(which I think are good) then you won't be making it far in the WC.

    Also alot of USMNT supporters happen to be hispanic. And I mean ALOT!! I remember a couple a years ago (6-8+ years ago) the US team was nicknamed in spanish "El equipo de Todos" or "Everybody's Team". Something that is still true today in the spanish tv stations when covering the US team during games. The US team is very popular among hispanics, if not their first choice team its definitely their second team (in most cases). But for me it will always be my only team. USA!

My city is the 4th largest city, very diverse, and everybody gets along. What part of the country do you live in? If its that bad over there you should consider moving to Houston. I still think you misunderstood him. The guy he replied to said population is ALL that counts. Just think population and not any other factor JUST population. If population is all that counts then shouldn't China or India have a great football team because their huge populations. But they don't and like you mentioned evalds there is other factors behind them not having the best teams. So you proved his point.That being, population is not the only factor in determining the best football team.

  • @SupeRey49

    Actually I think that he is confusing you with the other Bosnia fan that was posting here not to long ago and making very ignorant and racist comments about Americans that wouldn't even apply to most or any of the population. Remember the guy who was putting down the US, Greece, Serbia(I think or a country that sounds similar), and not giving any credit to the Central American teams who qualified. People like that guy give us football fans a bad name.

    I have Latin American roots, but was born and raised in the US. I'am still American even though I have Latin American roots. If our players were born, raised, work, went to school here and want to represent THEIR country then let them be. Our team isn't half foreign they are American. The last name doesn't mean anything. My last name is Reyes, but I am a proud American. The US is a country with people of many places it isn't just one race or culture. That is what makes us unique.

    I see every Mexico game, and I can tell you that their players have lost their drive to play. I don't blame them though, because the fans have turned on the team. It has gotten so bad that fans have started booing the team when they play at home now.(Never would happen in the past) My friends who live in Mexico say that the media tries to make the team seem like the best in the world, and their results have showed the fans that they aren't. They do have good players but no chemistry as a team.

    Troll or Not. I don't like to ever get into arguments. Not on youtube or in real life, because I usually think something, but end up doing something else. Remember the "you're" reply. In fact this is my first ever youtube argument. And regardless I respect every opponent that any of my teams face. If we win good, but if we lose I take it as a learning experience. That's why I said good luck Bosnia. You guys still need YOUR ticket. Best of luck next week :)

    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The first "You are" I was going to say "You're European" , but added "team is" for some reason. So it came out "you're team is european". The second one really is a mistake. I guess I still was in the same train of thoughT. And I am sorry, but nobody is perfect. You can't say you never ever made any mistake before especially when typing. Just look at the YOUR most recent reply to me "But i though i'm a troll?" missing a "T". Unless you are a perfect human or a robot. Are you a robot?

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    No I would not apply that to everything. You brought up clubs when we were talking about NTeams. I said that because both teams are at about the same level and you really can't tell who would win until they play. Now if you are talking about teams whose gap is way to big and it is obvious who would win before they play, then I wouldnt use that formula. But in the case of BIH and US is too close to call. Now you see why I said that. Let's put this silly argument to rest. Best of luck to Bosnia :)

  • @SupeRey49

    So your point is? I know English, Spanish, and French. Come the US and Canada (the US ain't America by itself) and see how many people often misuse words there. You say that because I misused a word in a TH-cam post, that means I can't speak English or my "native" language as you say. You judged me based on a TH-cam post.Go through many youtube videos and see all the people who misuse words. There is many of them.This has gotten completely off track from the initial topic of football XD.

    So you are a psychic that can tell who is better just by looking at teams who haven't played before? (Our A squads) You are the worst type of trolls on football videos. You think because you're team is European you are better than everyone else. Even when you're team ain't the best team in the European region.(That is a fact for you) You know, but deny, that our teams are on a equal playing field. See you in the world cup :)

    I think many people will agree with me( based on the comments here and the FIFA site) that those rankings are a joke because they don't really reflect how good a team is. Easiest qualifying group you have EVER seen. If you follow CONCACAF you would know that this year's Hex is the most competitive and unpredictable one ever. CONCACAF teams are getting stronger and should not be underestimated. Some are ranked way 2 low so people assume its easy. (Evidence Costa Rica and Honduras)

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    CONCACAF Hex is not easy by any means. The US qualified, but still lost twice. Costa Rica is playing their best football and qualified not to mention they spanked us at their home. Honduras is playing okay, but still beat Mexico on their own soil. Panama is a very good defensive team not 2 be underestimated. Jamaica is the only easy one. Mexico also has a good team and quality players, yet they are on the brink of not qualifying. OFC has the easiest qualifying groups trust me.

    Hey watch what you say buddy don't go calling every US fan a fuck, and that many of us didn't like the US until we started winning. I have been a US fan all my life and so have been many of my friends and family members. And many of the people who I know who are US fans, like me have families that moved here from other countries but where born here in the US. So your comment is kind of offensive to those football fans like me who have grown up watching the sport and the USMNT.

    I just happen to read some of your comments and wanted to point out a few things.You do know we didn't play our A team either right. We had players who had never played for us before starting for their first time in this match. And by the looks of it you are trying really hard to not give the US any credit. This next part isn't directed at just you in particular, but why are so many people arguing in the comments when this match was just a friendly and over a month ago lol.

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I said don't stress yourself out because this game was a FRIENDLY and you are making a big deal about it. You didn't have to call me a little bitch or your shrink when I didn't tell you anything. And why are you bringing population, war, finance into this. It's just football and those things shouldn't even be brought into this. As far as ranking goes I do agree that some countries are ranked slightly higher than they should be, while other need to be ranked higher.

    Every big team of a region has their poison. Argentina and Brazil often lose to certain less-powerful South American teams in the same way USA often loses to Costa Rica. However USA have proven to be more capable opponents towards non-CONCACAF opposition than Costa Rica have. But Costa Rica are in the World Cup too now so maybe that could change. Costa Rica have some decent players.

  • @vaporterra
    @vaporterra 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bosnia-Herzegovina played Slovakia twice in September for World Cup Qualification. In Sarajevo, Slovakia won 1-0. In Ljubljana, Bosnia-Herzegovina won 2-1. That win meant no teams from Group G not named Bosnia-Herzegovina or Greece would have a chance to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Bosnia-Herzegovina currently leads the group with the same amount of points as Greece but a much better goal difference.

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    If rankings don't mean anything then why were you making a big deal about Bosnia being ranked 13th not to long ago? Just pointing that out because you were bragging about it, and using in your arguments with people. Now that Bosnia went down to 18th and the US climbed to 13th, the rankings all of a sudden don't matter. I don't want to sound mean, but if you don't want people to argue with you, just don't post anymore comments here. Don't stress yourself out man.

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Okay I have been reading your comments and you trying to belittle the US just makes you sound incredibly bitter. Of course people understand the difference between a friendly and a qualifying game. And since this is JUST a FRIENDLY why do you care so much and make a HUGE deal about it by arguing in the comments. If anybody is cocky its you by trying to make Bosnia look like football god. You must be really bitter now after Bosnia just lost at home again and in a WCQ match. Bye TROLL

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mostly every team that competed in the gold cup used their B team, so obviously the players are going to be different in those games.Also Klins wanted to use the gold cup to test out players to move on to the world cup qualifying squad and a potential starting 11.Some guys are on lock for the 11, but we still need some work here and there.He has said that he is still looking for a starting eleven, but I don't really care how long he takes as long as he gets the best possible squad in the end.

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just happen to read your comment and I want to tell you that the US was also using quite a few brand new players who have never played for the team and many of our starters were not playing when we faced you guys. So I say we were even. Please don't take my comment the wrong way I just wanted to point that mistake out. Hope we meet in Brazil to see our full A squads battle it out. Good luck with qualifying :)

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    So when you are against strong teams you can't qualify, but against weaker teams you will be able to qualify.That is what you said right, "Now we FINALLY have an easy group and are MOTHERFUCKING ready." I bet you wouldn't even qualify in CONCACAF since the US is playing their best football (You lost to our A with some of B team), you lost to Mexico twice(2011,2012), Costa Rica is playing good, Panama's defense is one of the best around and they have good players, and Honduras is always good. LOL

  • @SupeRey49
    @SupeRey49 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was looking at the comments and there is still bitter people posting here XD. People need to shut up about that "we made changes to the team in the second half" excuse and admit that you lost. Guess what we made changes too and we didn't even use the full A team(this was the first game for many of our players). You won't have a chance in the WC if your subs suck and don't make a difference on the team.Best of luck.

    Hope shea, Diskerud, Johannson make the final roster to Brazil, I'm not saying they should start... Because it's Bradley and Jones/Cameron in the middle, no room for Mix there, and Altidore and Deuce up top, no room for johannson there, and Shea and Fabian are going to battle for the left flank. Fabian isn't a LB for USA, Beas is. But these guys, I hope, should make the final roster and the bench. I like what I have seen from them; I'm liking them more and more, they could be useful in Brazil.

  • @SySoBa
    @SySoBa 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bradley and altidore were boss that game. It's becoming a regular thing for altidore, but Bradley is always The General every game. Bradley is so underrated, he makes world class passes look so easy and he is tidy defensively. he always controls the tempo of the game. We were missing some of our key players, this isn't the Eleven for Brazil, but we beat this class team anyway, and I'm happy. can't wait to see Altidore and Bradley in Brazil. And I hope Shea, Diskerud, Johannson make it to Brazil.

    We can call basketball stupidball if we want, it's our fucking country. Why do you think we have to name things based on what other people like? American football was "the real footbal", over a course of several decades the rules were changed several times so that the game bore less and less resemblance to its origninal game. Therefore, it is as much football as "the real football". We never needed to change the name because we made it our own game.
    You're wrong, football not a universal term.

  • @ozark.explorer

    This is like insisting that people have to either call syrup-based carbonated beverages "pop" or "soda". It is absurd to think that there is and only can be ONE "proper" name for something. Why not insist that we call elevators "lifts" or subways "Tubes".
    Because moderately intelligent people can understand that throughout the world different cultures call things by different names. It doesn't make one culture wrong or right.
    Is it that hard to understand that two words mean the same thing?

    Actually he is making a valid point considering that the guy he replied to said population is ALL that mattered. Maybe you misunderstood what he said. He said if population is everything that mattered then shouldn't India and China have a good team because of their large population. But they don't, so it is obvious that population is not all there is to it. According to him.

    I am being sincere with my good luck wishes. What I mean is that nothing is set in stone yet. You still have to earn YOUR ticket to the WC. Remember what I said before, never underestimate a team no matter how weak. PS I emphasized the YOUR to make fun of our earlier "your/you're" scuffle LOL. Still good luck, even though you don't need it :)

    Look I replied to your comment not knowing there was a previous argument about this topic. And stating that your A team is better than our A team when they have never played before isn't overconfidence? Looks to me like you are giving your team too much credit also. Next time listen to yourself before you post something.

    I only said hispanic because he was talking about latinos, but obviously there are many others who go for team USA as well. I know that, but only mentioned hispanic because that was the topic of the conversation. Me and you both know how diverse the US fanbase is.

    That was actually a good one, props for that. No it was late at night where I was in at the time and I was testing my memorization skills without checking my sources with FIFA or anything. The point is they both won a match each but Slovakia is out of the qualification race.

    All I'm gonna say, we destroyed you first half, and our coach took off our good players to prevent injuries for the upcoming Slovakia games ins September for the World Cup qualification. Good game USA, well done. Altidore is a beast.

    We have won 5 gold cups not 1.Got runners-up in the 2009 Confederations Cup. We made it to Round of 16 in the 1994 and 2010 WC. We made it to the Quarters in 2002. And our team has greatly improved from the team that played in the 2010 WC.

  • @ThatBoyTLong

    It wasn't. If the ball got to Ibisevic it would have been. But Dzeko got the ball instead which nullified the offside. and since Dzeko took it himself. that technically means Ibisevic was not involved with the play.

    The US was literally missing its two best players and just had another key player go down with an ACL, and debuted no less than three new players in the match. It's not like that was our A-team, dude.
