I’ve lived in Georgia my whole life. I visited LA and Joshua Tree for the first time in 2021, and boy it was quite the shock but I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back. Most people recognize Atlanta, but I’m from the Augusta area; Augusta being the 2nd largest city in Georgia. I live in Grovetown and it’s absolutely exploding due to military (Fort Gordon) cyber security and medical staff(some of the best in the country). Also, there are a lot of industrial jobs here. I work in a manufacturing plant as a maintenance technician. I love my state, and have lived and visited all over. There’s a whole lot of nothing in between major metro areas. Politics is becoming more balanced, instead of just being super hardcore Republican. Definitely consider Columbia County for school system/living, as there are lots of job opportunities in the CSRA.

This was a great video!! I'm a native of California and want to build a home in Georgia this year! I can't imagine leaving my door or car unlocked!! And when I move there, I will be locking EVERYTHING because, unfortunately, I've learned to trust just about nobody! But it's nice to know that such good places exist and I'm glad it is part of the Bible belt because I'm a Christian....sounds like Georgia is my kind of place!!!

@@fayeinwonderland hey! Yes I did. I’ve been here since February. And I love it. Everyone asks me if I miss Cali, I say only the food. I’m a foodie, and nothing will compare to the variety of food and quality you find in CA, especially LA.
Other than that I love it here, no regrets. Life seems to go by at slower and more peaceful pace here. People are nicer too. Lots of green everywhere, lakes, rivers, hiking trails. Everyone seemed to be very outdoorsy here, which I love. Keep going up GA, and you’ll find even more national parks and mesmerizing waterfalls with trails etc. I don’t take the freeway much, but I heard traffic can get bad here, especially coming from or to Atlanta. The only “bad” thing, is that some days rain some days is sunny, and some both at the same time, or just heavy rain, 10 mins later sunny again. But that’s only sometimes, nothing that could ruin your day or plans in my opinion. Humidity is not as bad as I thought. I’d hate to be in CA right now with all the extreme heat my family tells me about.

      @fayeinwonderland 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@johnny110291 Hi Johnny thank you for responding! :) amazing, it’s nice to hear you’re liking it so far coming from LA. Humidity is what concerns me the most (my first choice was Florida but then changed my mind because of that), but I’ll definitely plan a trip soon to see the area and “feel” the weather (especially during summer months). What do you think about the cost of living? Hope it’s proportioned correctly to the salary.
Anyways, it won’t be my first move since I moved from Italy to California but it can be still a big change :)
Thank you again and enjoy your life in Georgia! :)

@@fayeinwonderland I have some friends from Florida that live here now too. They say humidity and weather overall is way worst than here.
Honestly humidity is not bad, not unbearable at least. More humid than CA, yes, but not too bad. It does bring a lot more bugs though, so gotta be prepare for that too. Actually that’s the only thing I hate lol, again, not like infestation type of bugs, but definitely you’ll see more bugs than CA.
Whether you rent or buy a house it’ll be 10000% cheaper than Cali. Everything else is slightly below CA (or the same), restaurants, groceries, utilities, unfortunately. But I guess prices are going up everywhere anyway, not only here. Even worst in CA.
And yea no prob. I’m glad I can help.

I lived in GA for about 8 months and worked in Midtown at Atlantic Station. So I already have a good idea of what life is like. Loved my time there and my wife and I are considering a move. Not sure where to get started as first time buyers though. Particularly because we are out of state.
Do you have a video about logistics of purchasing a home from out of state? Do you set up digital tours and follow that up with a schedule of live tours for us to book a flight? How does this process work? I think our hearts are in Georgia and we've made up our mind but we are a little overwhelmed on HOW to get there. @@larrysmith1568 lol you're the one that sounds like you're butt hurt, my dude. You live in GA yet you're here whining about socialism and doing your "snowflake" crap. You also have no clue what you're talking about.
I'm a registered Republican that lives in California. You have no idea what Socialism actually is if you're throwing around the term like that. Just repeating the same network news BS and "trigger words" to make some irrelevant political comment. "Socialism destroyed CA"...yeah we feel so destroyed with our economy that rivals that of the entire U.K.
California had like a $23 Billion dollar surplus in the budget, I just pointed out that we have the money to give back to the people since we're taxed up the ass to begin with. Do I like our governor? Nope. Do I like the Democratic Party? Nope. But I'm also tired of hearing the same pointless insults being thrown around by people on both sides who clearly have no clue what they're talking about. A government having "socialized programs" doesn't even come close to making a country or state "socialist".
There are so many elements of socialism that are compatible with many other forms of government. The presence of even a large number of socialist elements does not mean that socialism is the foundational philosophy of that country's government and/or economy. And even within socialism...do you mean communist socialism? Democratic socialism? Do you even know the difference or definitions of those? Are you sitting there actually thinking that California is closer to North Korea and that the residents of California look at N. Korea and say "Yaaa that's what life should be like"
Or did you just hear the term being thrown around by talking heads and shouting news anchors? Oh and probably all of the ridiculous Facebook memes and so now that word is imprinted in your vocabulary as a way to attempt to insult a group of people who at the end of the day are no where near actual socialism. I'm all for the conservation of capitalism but at some point we have to look at our country and say "we're the richest, most powerful country in the history of the world with the most powerful military in the history of the world, maybe we should also be able to provide a few more services that benefit everyday people like a higher education that doesn't put the future generation in crippling debt, or more accessible, affordable healthcare that doesn't leave innocent people completely broke." Maybe, just maybe, all those taxes we pay should provide a bigger benefit to individual citizens of the country and not just go into the pockets of lobbyists and government heads.

Traffic worse than your wildest imagination… that’s all you need to know! People who drive like they’re from Russia or Jakarta but in the density of Los Angeles. It’s the absolute worst part of living ANYWHERE within a 50 mile radius of Atlanta. I’m serious guys, be noted that the traffic will become a part of how you plan each and every moment of your day!!

ITP is definitely has it bad. Thank goodness the outer perimeter isn’t *as* bad and of course, north Georgia doesn’t quite have those same problems. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I hate Georgia with a passion. I actually did the opposite. I am born and raised from Atlanta, GA but moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2014. I never regret living in LA until recently. I wanna move up in Washington State not DC. Look, People are moving out of Georgia too not as much as California but, a lot of folks I knew moved elsewhere. Yet, I often fee uncomfortable there. California isn’t perfect either; but at least I feel safe and Comfortable. Georgia is a cheap Ghetto State of a Death Trap. I feel wherever I go, people look at me different! I get a lot of Negative Backlash in Atlanta more than Los Angeles and that’s saying something. I would rather die then to move back there

@@Griffith861 oh yeah, I always to Visit Utah. What part, Salt Lake City. I might be able to do it in a couple weeks. Besides the Common Stereotype some of my friends who lived there loved it. I don’t wanna move there because it’s a lot more dry than Southern California. I prefer Forest-like Areas. I am not religious either. These haters loathed me because of my Ethnicity. This is why I hated the South So much. The fact, I get sexually harassed in Georgia is already proving a tipping point next to Death Threats of how low this Evil Purple State has become. Out of all the Purple States I’ve Stayed Georgia is terrible… I’m from there, People there are very arrogant and I do not feel welcomed there even by being dragged against my will being Emotionally Blackmailed by my parents. Speaking of which, I gave them a book about that and I’m forcing them to read it or I will never visit them again even if they died like my Closest and Youngest Uncle Recently!

Georgia sucks and is no competition for California in cali you have much prettier and athletic women and better more stable school systems and job opportunities as well as culture yes the cost of living is higher in California but you can’t beat the weather traffic is terrible just like Atlanta but much worse but besides that I love San Diego, San Francisco, Palm Springs and of course LA😂😂
