I came back from SF 2 mths ago to the UK. Had an amazing time there. Didn't feel unsafe at all, people friendly. Told to avoid the Tenderloin, which we did. Stayed at the Fairmont, Nob Hill. SF has its problems, like most cities. The Media do like hype up problems
I lived in Nob Hill, Hayes and Noe Valley and in the Dolores/Castro area but shop Dwtn SF, Soma and Union but hang out everywhere, there’s homeless guys EVERYWHERE, especially at night along the streets in the upscale merchants areas. It’s so expensive and parking smash and grabs with cars and smartphones are a common occurrence. It’s always foggy and cold. It’s typically in the upper 50-62 degrees without sunshine. Think Seattle weather. It can also and does rain spontaneously. Black clouds and rain pours down after it’s been sunny. The steep heels can be taxing whenever walking, carrying heavy bags and driving. I was born in SF and went to college in the bay. Also, everything closes early there. It’s also not as friendly as it was before Facebook, Twitter, and some other startups bought up and demolished all the apt buildings for their offices.
yeah this vid is more faux news horsesh!t out the 10 most unsafe states with the highest rates AND incidents of violent crime, 9 of them are all southern red states ALL violent crime and cali has several times higher population than all of them and california is like in the 20s or 30s worst lol btw ilinois/chicago is 17th.
The media like to hype?? You visited SF so you had stars in your eyes and was in a bubble of disconnect from reality. My whole family lived in SF since 1983, and I worked there 1983 till I retired in 2022. The topography of the city is beautiful. But compared to the QUALITY of life in the 80s, 90s, 2000s, to 2008 today's SF is nothing. It's even less than a shell of what it used to be.
Yes, SF has lower rates of violent crime, but property crime is among the worst in the nation. And it's even worse than the stats because most people who have their car windows smashed don't even bother to call the police. I made that mistake once. They literally laughed at me.

My husband has lived in Oakland for 30 years and worked and still does in San Francisco for 24 years I am new to the area since we have married and I moved with him and this is teaching me a lot thank you 💗
This is so true! Im from really from SF, im from Santa Rosa just an hour north of SF, and we use to go there a lot and this is what was needed to hear. Excellent work!
Seriously great video. Perfect tempo, great tips and advice with a comprehensive outlook. I could watch a million of your vids. Thanks for helping me gain a better insight into SF. I'm hoping to attend Law School there next year.
Let's not forget that the real sign of a healthy town is its shops, stores and restaurants. All indicate where and why you can go out. How is SF doing in this category?
It really depends on the area. Downtown continues to struggle but there are tons of thriving neighborhoods with amazing shops and some of the best food in the country! There so many great restaurants to choose from!
Every city has huge issues. I am in Vancouver and we have immense issues of opioid use and homelessness which is worsened severely with mental illness. We are working hard to help these issues in YVR and I know San Francisco is as well. I never feel unsafe in SF or Manhattan or most cities for that matter. I have huge compassion for people struggling with drugs and mental illness.
I agree we have a national problem with opioid use and mental illness. It's a terrible problem that we need to solve. Thank you for watching our videos and providing your prospective.
This video is amazing. Thank you for addressing some of the the elephants in the room! SF has it’s called he’s but it’s still one of the best cities in the world!
Id be interested in living there due to the high cost of living, dysfunctional government and justice system, inadequate police, leftwing politics, rampant drug use, rampant crime, excessive garbage, feces on the streets, and a population which enables all of this to happen.
I live in San Francisco and every single day I walk to work and have to step over human excrement. I see homeless people walking around outside half naked and high and the city does not care. I am LGBTQ so I can say whatever I want about them. After a LGBTQ event I went to a pizza place and stood behind a gay man who was wearing nothing but a thong. I am staying because I want to become a software engineer.
Why can't people take care of themselves? I am guessing you must live in public housing, because you do not seem to understand the relationships between work and earning the money to pay for a place to live. Do you also believe it is the government's reponsibility to pay for your food, insurance and drugs? C'mon! You'll fit right in!
So is trespassing, non-car robbery, regular stealing of stores' shopping carts and groceries, leaving dirty needles in public restrooms, public sex and/or rape on the sidewalk and the buses and BART(look it up). San Frans#ithole.
nah its just faux news horsesh!t propaganda peddled by ruzzian trolls and conservatives that have mevwr been outside their s!tty small towns. been to sf car break ins are just as rare as anywhere else and they are illegal IF theyre not prosecuted blame the lazy cops ACAB after all
Thank you for watching my videos! I appreciate your taking the time in comment! Just curious, where do you live and when was the last time that you were in San Francisco?

Yeah, smash and grabs are a problem! I am very careful about making sure that there is nothing of value in my car, which is annoying for sure!
One of my favorite videos so far. This is what people needed to hear!

The quote is- The coldest WINTER I've ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.
So true about the weather!! Which is why Sept and October are my favorite months in SF.
Mine too!!!!
So true! Thanks for the insights, but still such an amazing place!
It really is! Thank you for watching!

Violent crime is not being reported and/or prosecuted. COVID also kept people at home so it's easy to distort the crime in SF.

@@livinginsanfranciscoca Your are so kind to reply! I appreciate your perspectives and thoughtfulness! Love your videos! Have a wonderful day!
My whole attitude is that of Eric Cartman. When it comes to even setting foot there.

Wouldn't live anywhere else ..... you can't buy beautiful weather ...❤❤
@@MrOn2u Agreed- during all my travels, I've never found another place that I'd rather live!
I do really appreciate you sharing this. Thanks!!
You are so welcome! Let us know if we can help in anyway!
thank you for the amazing presentation! From your perspective is it worth relocating to SF FOR 50K? I am Greek by the way Ruth.
Hi! Thank you for watching my video! Honestly, no. I think that 50k would be extremely hard to live on in SF.
@@livinginsanfranciscoca thank you for your descent reply 🙏

Well said
This must be the world according to a lefty.
I love it sweet you can live there for free. All you need is a tent and a sleeping bag.
And a drug addiction.
4:00 Correction: that should be 600 centi-millionaires. 600K is close to the entire population of SF lol.
Great video though! 👍
Thank you, appreciate your feedback.
You can judge the future of a city by what the businesses there are doing, and that does not bode well for San Francisco.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m curious “what the businesses are doing” from your perspective?
Please, San Francisco celebrities, natural history, Chinatown, Indian restaurant..thanks
Thank you for the great suggestions!
Awesome video good job
Thanks!
i hate realtors and real estate speculators
Wether is good too
I LOVE the weather!
600,000 people worth $100,000,000 ? The total population is only 800,000.

I work in San Francisco and I love it but stay in Dublin
Oh that's tough! How long is the communte?
@@livinginsanfranciscoca 45 mins to 1hr 9 min depending on traffic
There's also railway
Dublin's hella nice. That whole Tri-Valley area is pretty sweet ... Close to the magic but away from the madness
7 miles by 7 miles.......cheak the size of city government😮😮😮

That does not sound pleasant by any stretch. What neighborhood do you live in and where do you work?
Why can't they figure out how to house people. 😊
I think we all wish there was an easier answer! Thank you for watching my video

The BEST part is car beak ins are 100 percent legal in San Francisco.
Fingers crossed some of the new initiatives around this will help.
Get real. 100% legal!!?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
