I lost feeling in my left side from car accident and 26 yrs later fell downstairs then when i went for surgery they inserted a urine catcher and i remember holding my urine but then letting my muscles go because i knew i didn't need to but that was my mistake now i can't hold it and i suddenly have to go, i was in complete shock over surgery because it took them 4 days to get to me i completely forgot how to walk and make sure needed muscles are working right, how do i get those muscles working again??

Hi! So sorry I didn’t see this comment. I worked with a woman who had nerve damage from birth and couldn’t feel her pelvic floor muscles working. We looked at a visual of how the muscles work with breath. With the help of that visual, her belief in the muscles would work, and progressive rehab exercises she improved her strength from a 0 (no strength) to almost 4 out of 5
