hello wanted to give an UPDATE ! I had commented in one of your previous videos that my doctor has put me on 0.5 dutasteride twice weekly plus topical finasteride. It has been 1.5 months now and I can see pretty visible hair coming in my frontotemporal region which was totally bald. I have before and after photos. (Im 23yo, F)
Any 5 alpha reductase inhibitor is not to be given to premenopausal women. Wonder who the doctor is!

Of course as soon as one of these medicinal treatments actually work I will have spent a fortune and a lifetime getting hair surgically restored. Dr. Bhatti what would you do if surgical restoration was no longer required?
haha! That is a good question. But then they will need someone to design the hairlines and plant the cloned hair too!
Just a case of forecasting potential crisis points that HT surgeons may encounter, learning about the new technologies (keeping yourself "in the know") and hopefully you can adopt them into your own practice at some point

Thanks. I would not try exosomes or any new treatment on my patients. Especially exosomes which have raised alarms in some parts of USA for being carcinogenic.

Alopecia areata is a skin disorder best treated by a dermatologist. A good dermatologist anywhere can do justice to it. It is not much of a challenge.

Update: September 8, 2021 - Kintor Pharma just announced that its Phase II clinical study for KX-826 to treat androgenetic alopecia was a success. Primary endpoint was met. More detailed results will be released later per CEO Dr. Youzhi Tong. Phase III clinical trials in China will commence in the fourth quarter of 2021. Even better, Phase II trials are also currently taking place in the US. And Phase II trials for women will take place in China

What do you think of verteporfin for wound healing. The skin would after verteporfin-application create new skin including hair follicles. Theroetically you could use it after fue or fut to let grow new hair follicles in donor area.
This is said to aid in wound healing. The body has to repair itself always. Growing hair follicles with it is pure science fiction and if someone is telling you that, he is doing it for commercial reasons.
@@hairtransplantinindia yeah ok, you should be right but skin healing without scarring. That could be something considerable in scar revision or fut. Maybe you can do your Own trial with some volenteers to see at least if scarring could be minimized in the donor. Last year their was a pig study with a similar drug like verteporfin (called " vs 6062") but is a fak-inhibitor which also inhibt yap and engrailed -1 in skin healing like verteporfin. This inhibitions would inhibit scar forming. In the pig study the pig skin could almost be regenerated (also hair follicles). Pig skin is similar to human skin.
@@mustafanaser9789 Thank you but I am not into research. I am a pure clinician who offers time tested medication and treatments for androgenetic alopecia and hair loss, treatments that have gone through intense medical scrutiny.
What about estradiol valerate in castor oil ...would work topically to reduce DHT. Post Finasteride syndrome scares me.
I get a lot of patients who are young and waster precious months to recover their hairs with natural products. Natural DHT blockers have effect that is miniscule and is never able to reign in the onslaught of DHT causing baldness.
Wouldn't the potential for profit be higher if they priced the treatment so that everyone could afford it? I don't get it - 350k? That is outrageous.
You are correct. I feel this is all hype and the cost wil be much less but still not affordable to the middle class.

It is a treatment without scientific basis. It is fashionable to use stem cells for as extreme indications as spinal cord injury, etc. These are commercial uses for profit.
Finastride is working very good for me will it will work forever if it take it

No, it is not OK. Finasteride is not a medicine that can be taken like this.

In some patients Finasteride starts to lose its efficacy after 2-5 years and needs to be supplemented with another DHT blocker. This varies from person to person since metabolism is different for different people. Cytochrome P450 has over 50 variants and which one you will inherit for the purpose of metabolising in the liver is genetically determined; hence people respond to drugs in different ways.
@@ak2849 If you are using good quality Finasteride, I would not change brands but add Dutasteride 0.5 mg once a week.

It is genetics at play. The gene does not express itself in all. Moreover, nowadays it is seen that baldness happens very early. Environmental factors are to blame.

Vellus hair will not turn terminal with Minoxidil. Only thing terminal hairs will respond. Vellus hair due to androgenetic alopecia are destined to permanently fall off.

Everything that costs more money will psychologically grow hair! The cheapest medicine is the most effective. Till today there has been no such breakthrough that will challenge even closely the effectivity of Finasteride for hair loss.

Dr Tsuji is on the right track. I think his cure will be the next ground-breaking news in 2-3 years time. Exosomes have been banned in several states in USA since they may trigger nascent cancerous cells.
