    Some mechanics claim you should open the bleeder screw when compressing the old pads in order to avoid pushing contaminated brake fluid into the ABS pump. That could jam up the valves and cause the ABS light to come on. Apparently the ABS pump is not serviceable.

      Similar problem with mine. You can try hooking it up to an OBD2 reader and likely get a code reading that may return something like "ABS/Wheel speed sensor" along with which one. At the very least it's a way to focus your attention on which wheel/system is involved. You may end up just needing to clean that sensor or replace it pretty easily for about $20.

      Sean Forsberg you know, I was told that too, could be dirty but idk how to clean it, do I have to disconnect the cable and spray it with that sprayer that cleans connectors?

      It could be the sensor itself, which is easier to access behind the wheel, or the connection, or, it could be something else entirely like the tone ring that the sensor reads. Figuring out which wheel is effected will give you a starting point, then you can try cleaning the sensor and inspecting the tone ring for cracks/damage/debris. If that does nothing then you can try checking/cleaning the sensor connection or simply changing the sensor out with a new one. At least if that fails it's a pretty cheap way to determine it's caused by something else.

    Hello friend, I have a question, please answer. I have a Ford Edge, this car is very rare in my country, so there are not enough spare parts. Maybe you know which brands or models can be identical !! Mazda, Toyota, Subaru, Grand Cheork, Suzuki, Mercedes, BMW Nissan and so on.

    I've got a 2015 dodge journey 3.6L . When compressing the caliper piston to make room for the new pads does that also require bleeding the ABS system so the pedal doesn't go to the floor? I just did a power bleed with a "MOTIVE POWER BLEEDER" about a month ago, I had to do this because I had about 3% moisture in the system. But now, I'm about to replace the rotors and pads and I would like to know if Its necessary to do a bleed on the ABS system. I watched your video on replacement of pads and rotors and I didn't hear you mention anything about bleeding the ABS system.

      You should only need to bleed brakes if you replace lines, calipers or open it in some way to let air in.

    Are the rotors on the front and on the back different sizes? if so what are the sizes?

      They should be the same. If you get on RockAuto's website, they have all the parts you need. Just enter your make and model

    What accent is that?

  • @eyeorewolf
    @eyeorewolf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You reused the old boots, they will deteriorate, leak and the guide pins will rust and lock up the caliper.

    You don't have to say " guys" 100 times

      I took a shot after everytime he said guys. I died before he took the caliper off
