    Thanks for the Video John!
    What Microsoft is definitely missing in this plugin is a button for screen share or even the different screen share options. That would be a huge advantage using the stream deck. Hopefully this will be added in the future.

      That would be great! I’d also love if I could select specific cameras so that I could do switching right in Teams. 🙏

    ❌ Microsoft Teams Elgato Stream Deck ❌ - Unfortunately you will need to wait a little bit longer. Microsoft found an issue they want to resolve before making it further available. It’s no longer in the Stream Deck store.

    The latest version of the plugin is missing some things. Record for example. I also wish there was a way to add a button that would start a "meet now" meeting. In Teams there is no hotkey to do this.

    Amazing, it worked for me on the personal client but not on my work client. I am guessing my company is blocking it intentionally. This is great update.

      That’s what I was afraid of with my company’s Office 365 as well as they lock everything. Does it just not let you connect using the API? Been waiting for Teams support to get one of these for my work desk but looks like it may not work.

    Quick question for you John... I got my Stream Deck the same day Microsoft announced "The New Teams." Of course, I had to check it out, but there doesn't seem to be an API Key option in it. Do you have any insight into if/how/when the New Teams will support Stream Deck? Thanks!

    • @Stan_sprinkle
      @Stan_sprinkle 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Perhaps you've already figured this out. I just not installed this plugin. It looks like it just works in new Teams without it generating the API key, all you have to do is toggle the API on. The first time you press an action on Stream Deck, it asks for permission and then you're good.

    Thank you for the video. I also have been looking for this, but as RalfHeid points out, the download is no longer on the Elgato site.
    I have the TEAMS that comes with the 'Microsoft 365 Family' account. When I go to TEAMS settings, I see far fewer options than you are showing... What version of TEAMs are you using?

    • @CollabMoore
      @CollabMoore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m just on a standard E5 licensed version of Teams in what’s called Ring 4 (the public normal version). I also have everything turned on at the admin level so I can demo everything.

    Can you setup an automated "Share Screen" button?

    • @CollabMoore
      @CollabMoore  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t been able to do that personally since there aren’t keyboard shortcuts for that action. It may be possible with something like a mouse recorder but it wouldn’t be very reliable I don’t think.

    Hi John, thanks for the video!!! Just received my StreamDeck XL I'm connected to my MacBook Pro M1X. I have the TEAMS API up and running. Noticed that the RECORD button is not available in the TEAMS plugin. I hope that MS will continue to develop their API and add more features! I would love to be able to push a button and drop into documents and or programmed comments.

    They didn’t add the join button some devices have for 5 minutes before meeting. Know of a keyboard shortcut to add that would do this? Looks like alt shift j works in the calendar once that meeting is up

    • @CollabMoore
      @CollabMoore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have that on my wishlist! :) I used to have a multi-action to activate the app, navigate to the calendar and then navigate to the current time. That’s the closest I could get to launching a meeting. Would love to have an action someday to launch the next in the calendar.

      You may try rebooting and see if that helps. The feature is starting to roll out today so it might take a bit to be fully working too. A couple friends of mine said some of the functions weren’t working yet and then started working later in the day. Hopefully all calms down soon. It’s been very reliable for me even for day one. 😀

    I have a windows 10 embedded device that i usually screen share on a teams meeting as i am doing the demo. I do not have the ability to install any additional software on the embedded device but i would like to use a stream deck or something to share that screen. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

    Probably the second most frustrating thing about this whole new way of meeting-First one being, feeling like I brought a mirror to watch myself at an actual meeting-second being the lack of a hardware interface. The mouse is a most inefficient way of doing this kind of virtual pseudo “video production.”
    It’s been a long three years for video production people like myself-being forced to operate a Fischer Price vision mixer with mittens on. But ironically, yesterday I did discover that OBS’s virtual camera does not require NDI. Don’t know why I even thought that was the case. So with OBS as a Teams front end-at least for the Live Event stuff, running this virtual stuff is more familiar and less frustrating.

    • @CollabMoore
      @CollabMoore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I feel the same way. This is a great improvement for anyone wanting to streamline (no pun intended) their meeting experience.
      A tip, if you’re not liking the staring at your own video preview, try right-clicking in it and “hide for me” 😀

    • @CollabMoore
      @CollabMoore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Patricia, thanks for watching! You can absolutely use a Stream Deck to get to Excel files. You can use the “Open” action and point to any file on your computer if it is stored locally or you can use the “Link” action I think it’s called to open any website URL if the file is a cloud stored one. Hope that helps!

    Is they could add similar features for Live Events this would be a really useful tool. I find if I give control to a presenter of slides I'm presenting, I'm unable to click around the Live Events interface without the presenter losing control. I'd be curious to see if they could build the commands to advance or go back a slide without the presenter losing focus

    • @CollabMoore
      @CollabMoore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t seen an admin control yet. One potential is orgs blocking install of the Stream Deck app or blocking the connection of the device via USB. It’d be sad to see it turned off…I see it as a potential win for accessibility. Some people have trouble getting to the control quickly with a mouse possibly due to disabilities. Being able to react quicker in a meeting makes staying engaged more accessible for these people.
