Great video... I know its a year old... I have the 15 button and have set 9 (3x3 grid) of play/stop buttons with the middle one as the first and the only one that works as start/stop.. That gives me a cover art that is 3x3 grid...
You need to bind Windows and the number the program is in your taskbar to your program specific macros. It will always open or activate the program that your shortcut is intended for.
I would have liked to provide more direct examples but it’s difficult without exposing elements of my actual job. I mean I’m sure people could look it up on LinkedIn but I’d rather keep it as separate as possible while still highlighting some of the tools that help me through the day.
I didn't decide between Elgato Stream Deck + (w KNOBS) , just 15 Key Stream Deck or Megalodon Triple Knob Macro Pad. I'm thinking to buy the nob Controller too to make a Combo. Which one you will choose base in your experience?
I've never used the other Macro Pad you mention. All I can say is that I'm a fan of the Stream Deck. I'm sure someone like EposVox or Harris Heller will have reviewed the other one so maybe check them out
Hi! Great video and review! What is the combination or automation tool you use for code snippets or text automation? Seems like the included functionality is only for plain text.
Thanks! It’s a bit annoying to set up but I basically had to create a multi-function that added each line of text and break point as separate commands one after the other
"So it took be about a year to figure out how the steam deck could benefit my day to day" ok, it's a no from me dawg. Great review, very well done - I am looking for something that is plug and play and actually boosts my productivity without me having to do 32,402 Google searches lol. P.S. I really thought you were about to say "Google Meet" and you said "Hangouts" :D
A year!!! It took me 2 hours to set mine up. 2 days to buy another one. 3rd day I have 7 automatic profiles with folders. This thing is hardcore. I'm buying 32 buttons soon. Did I mention that I secretly bought the 6 buttons after the 3rd day? I use it as arrow keys/enter/esc. Can't get enough of these. I even have a button to shutdown the PC.

Good tip. Thanks!
I recently learned this tip when reading the windows shortcuts, lol. It's a good way navigate between programs. Good one
Legend.
Actual examples would be good.

I love the skin you have on the Stream Deck. Where did you get it?
Thanks, Victoria. It’s from the Corsair store www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Elgato-Gaming/Stream-deck/Stream-Deck-Faceplate/p/34GBA9901-CB

I can’t keep track of all these Google messaging apps tbh 😂
