Hey! I am the maker of the Color Picker. To be honest, the Hex and RGB were an afterthought. But seeing how many designers find it useful, I want it to focus it more for designers. If you have any suggestions or improvements, let me know in the repository.
Super interested in this - but it's not inside the plugin search inside Elgato... I did find it on their website, but when I click the button to import it, there's a message that says the plugin is unavailable. Would be great for designing, for sure!
@@opportunitytheory I used a framework that is only available for Windows. To make it available for macOS would mean to re-create it from scratch using a different programming language, which sadly I don't have the time to do. Someone made an alternative plugin for macOS, which is linked in the repository for my plugin. Look for it as mac-streamdeck-color-picker
as a govt worker, microsoft teams in my work setting would be so clutch. the ability to set buttons to transfer calls straight to depts or straight to physicians would be awesome. i know it would be a really restricted piece of hardware especially if used in a govt setting but this is so needed in even the simplest corporate/hospital settings.
for audio editing, DAW, Pro Tools or Logic, which is best? Stream Deck+. or Loupedeck Live ?? anyone? either of these have plugins, templates for Pro Tools or Logic? Premiere Pro? thx
I didn't decide between Elgato Stream Deck + (w KNOBS) , just 15 Key Stream Deck or Megalodon Triple Knob Macro Pad. I'm thinking to buy the nob Controller too to make a Combo. Which one you will choose base in your experience?
Can you help with something? I want an IFTTT with Google Chat, they just added this functionality. I know stream deck does not have direct integration. How can I activate a Google Chat Message using stream deck and IFTTT? Thank you much!!
Can you describe in layman’s terms how to attach multiple cameras using that 6 button unit ? I have one and would like to be able to use a couple of webcams and my iphone on my model railway youtube videos
I tried using the "Windows Display Settings" but it seems to choose the monitor assigned to "Number 1" even though it is not set as my "main display". I also cannot change the numbers for my monitors even when I unplug monitors. My TV which I want set as "Number 1" is set as number 4 and the plug in seems to default to the "Number 1" which coincidently is also my worst monitor in terms of performance lol. Any way to choose which monitor is used as the "PC screen only" option? You show the Nvidia control panel but I have an AMD GPU and I don't see a screen like that. Also, AMD shows the displays number as I mentioned before, with the cheap monitor as 1 and my tv as 4.
For me that Windows Display is very messy, all my screens flicker and takes time for it to re-setup to 1 screen, then the same going back to my mutliscreens. What I use is Nookkin's Multiscreen Blank, that I have linked to buttons on my Stream Deck. I find it works so much better, granted it does not physically turn off the screens, but adds black (or faded) overlay. Its really good, you should give it a try.
So In my Stream deck editor I dont have nearly the same amount of keys and tails options. you have like 16+ keys categories I only have 6?? Same with keys EX: I REALLY want that color match/grade because I use a specific color code in Final Cut but I dont have that key option.
Hi! I'm trying out the teams plugin, but all the actions get the same default icon. Is there a way I can solve this? I have to manually change each icon and it bugs me... Hope someone has a solution for it!
I noticed this last week when helping a friend setup their stream deck. It seems that some plugins are only designed for specific platforms. So not all are available on each platform.
Currently I don’t have any. I recently moved and don’t have as many smart home devices. I am in the process of seeing what devices will work best for what I want to do but I will post a follow up video on IFTTT when I get a few more things added. That way I can really showcase it’s potential!
Yeah, that sucks. I have a similar problem but with wanting to use a wireless display to watch stuff on my smart tv. It won't work because of my computer being wired and not having a wireless card. I feel the pain, slightly different but the same.
@@HowToMediaHQ I have a WiFi 6 card, but here in Germany the walls are solid concrete and I prefer the stability (latency/speed) of wired connection and swapping connections to say "Turn on the office" or "Streaming Mode" or using the Streamdeck is silly... I have not looked into using both WiFi and Ethernet connections simultaneously, I think I would need a separate NIC (PCI or USB-based).
I actually tested this yesterday with an older wifi nic that I had laying around and it didn't seem to effect performance for my network speed. My computer seemed to be using the ethernet for all internet based traffic, and my wifi nic was only sending data for Windows Miracast which allowed me to connect to my TV. If you can get a connection on wifi it might work for you but If Windows doesn't route your traffic properly between the ethernet and wifi it may not be a good time for you if you have concrete walls.
I think its a fad! most home automation have the proper automation and integration built in, and to be practical almost all the buttons to click in team and 90% of the software can be accessed through either a combo key? or F-Keys. Stream deck usefulness is limited to only a few use cases, video/photo editing , bloggers, audio editing , 3d rendering . If you want to send your partner a message just pick up the damn phone and text or voice to text, I don't need my computer to be turned on to press a single button. This is ridiculous...ohhh my god sooo amazing!!!

How to link buttons to the Stream Deck? I don't know how to set shortcut in Multiscreen Blank.

There is no "audio detection" or "manual detection" on the VolumeControl Plugin. Or, at least, not anymore. I don't understand how to use it.

Sure does, you will need one of the available plugins to do it. I can’t remember which one off the top of my head.

I use webhooks for some of my lighting (that doesn't have its own plugin in the Elgato store)
My issue is having Hue lights that don’t bridge because desktop is wired via Ethernet.

how did you make color picker work with two buttons - so that the value displays on another button not on the color picker button?
I just had two of them set. I typically have 2 or 3 so I can sample multiple colors at the same time.

Most home automation is programmed by some sort of programmer…they charge hourly…it’s not cheap.
