Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System w/Pro 5R Filter Media
    Part Number: 54-76206-1
What's up Everyone welcome back to the channel! Today We are unboxing and installing the AFE momentum GT Cold Air intake on a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 6.4L 392 hemi!
Alright so all we need for Tools for today, is
a flat head & Philips screwdriver
    10mm Box Wrench
Installing the AFE Momentum GT cold Air Intake was fairly quick and the process took about an hour.
Before we remove our OEM Air intake lets go ahead and unbox our sweet new AFE momentum GT Intake. This baby comes with everything you need for install! Nice T clamps, hoses and a grommet for the air temperature sensor. The Momentum GT Air intake offers a fairly bigger air filter compared to the OEM and a sweet smooth intake tube to give the air a nice laminar flow which is connected to an enclosed air filter housing to protect it from the engine bay heat!
This AFE air intake just looks great compared to the oem set up which is the same for 5.7L Hemi and 3.6L Pentastar V6.
Alright so since we have everything unboxed we might as well put the air intake together before heading out to the Mopar. First thing to do is grab our new Air filter and slide it into the Air box housing and push it in until you feel or hear all the 6 of the air filter tabs seat themselves into the housing. Once inserted gently pull on the tube to check that it is seated properly.
    2) After that lets throw on one of our T clamps on and put the Filter and housing to the side.
    3) Next let's grab Air intake tube and install our air temperature Sensor Grommet. Add a bit of motor oil to the rubber to lube it up if she is too stubborn to slide in.
    4) Now with the air temperature sensor grommet installed lets throw on the crank case vent hose with its clamp and tighten it to the Air intake tube with our philips screw driver.
    5) After that, let's slide on our connecting tube on the smaller end of the Intake tube. What I also like about this intake tube is that there is a metal ring in the inner wall of this side of the intake tube to allow us to torque the clamps without crushing the tube! Great design there!
    6) Next let's go ahead and insert the Intake tube into our filter and throw on our remaining 2 clamps on the intake tube and that is it! We have it all assembled and ready to throw onto the hemi! Not bad at all eh?
    7) Ok so now let's head over to the mopar, pop the hood and start the install process. First lets grab our flat head screwdriver and remove the plastic cover for our new air intake snorkel.
    8) After that is gone, let's loosen the OEM Air Intake Clamps with our flathead screwdriver.
    9) Now let's twist and remove our Air intake Temperature sensor and put it to the side. While we are here in this area pull the crank case vent hose out.
    10) Once all that is done and everything is loose, simply pull the whole Air intake in one piece up and out of the way.
    11) After the OEM air intake is out remove the 2 rubber grommets out of the OEM intake box and throw them onto our AFE Momentum GT Air box. These 2 grommets will slide onto the alignments nobs in the engine bay.
    12) Sweet! Next grab our entire assembled AFE Intake and place it into the engine bay. Start by inserting the small end into the throttle body and twisting upwards to angle the AFE Intake into the snorkel hole and inserting the Air box housing into the alignment knobs. Press down on the AFE air box once aligned to ensure the box is secured into place.
    13) Alright home stretch! With the Momentum GT Intake in place simply throw in our air temperature sensor in the Intake tube, insert the Crank case vent tube into the hemi and finally tighten the clamps Down!
Congratulations you have now installed an AFE Momentum GT Air Intake on your Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT! Pretty easy eh?! To be honest installing an aftermarket air intake will be similar with different brands and the 5.7L Hemi and the 3.6L Pentastar with the only difference being the size of the filter and the length and angle of the intake tube.
There is much debate on whether or not Cold Air intakes do much over the OEM Air intake but one thing they do accomplish is that they look and sound a lot better than stock setups. I am super happy with the clean set up and can't wait to pop my hood at a show!
