I personally think you did the right thing turning down the air king if you’re not in love with the watch let somebody else who really wants the watch have the opportunity
Respect to you for not taking the air king if it’s it what you wanted. Allowing someone else the chance to have it, a true reflection of your character. Hope the back eases off for you.
The black color of the dial is much different side by side with the old one. Deeper shiny black. Now with the updated oysterlock clasp and the 3230 movement with 70 hour power reserve and chronergy escapement. a much improved version. I prefer the old oyster case with the curved sides though.
Hey Tony. You absolutely made the right choice as it’s best to go for a watch you truly love as opposed to just having it because it’s “sought after” and hard to get. This way. You will likely keep all your watches and continue wearing/enjoying them for many years to come no matter the desirability. Hope you get your OP soon 👍
Bad Back? I've been doing Pilates for the last 5 months (Reformer style). Good stretching, some strength, and all around feel good workout. If you have a chance try a couple classes. Also the classes are about 90% women if that's something.

Im the same...all of the nrs on the dial would irritate me...and I also think it wouldnt be a comfortable wear on account of the size. Leaving it for someone who really wanted it was the right think to do...rather than flipping it for k profit
I'm with you on the contoured sides on the OP compared to the slabby sides of the Sub. I think you should stick with your thoughts on the Air King and go for the OP. The OP is an elegant watch and true to Rolex history, as I'm sure you know - blue or silver, both lovely in the flesh.
Smart to pass on the AK if it’s not what you want. Buying a Rolex merely because it’s offered is certainly not my style either. I recently passed when my AD offered me an Explorer 36. Gotta hang for what you want. I think most ADs respect that especially since it confirms one’s not a flipper. Hope the back gets better man. 🍻
Hi Tony, my AD said he has the Tudor GMT Pepsi available but only with the fabric or leather strap. Would have to order in the steel strap for an extra $1400AUD. What do you think? Maybe I could take it off his hands as is but with a 10pc discount say and order in the steel strap later.
Tony you really need to try a Sinn they are an amazing German watch brand I came across not long ago and highly recommend keeps better time than all of my rolexs!
