thanks for the review. im also drawn to it because its more of an obscure rolex. i already have a submariner and although its a perfect watch, i want something more quirky for my second watch. im thinking either this airking or the polar explorer 2.
So I own this watch as well as a mark two dial 39 mill Explorer and these two pieces are so understated and low-key that I feel so much more comfortable wearing them than nearly any other Rolex I’ve ever owned
I own one....bought it recently in Malaysia....I wear it a lot. I love its uniqueness and its face with the graphic numerals and color accents PS I never liked or wanted Rolexes until I saw this watch.
Where do you fall on the Air King vs Explorer 1? I went in wanting an Explorer 224270 and when I tried the Air King on while I was there I just gravitated towards it more. Which surprised me since I've been saving for an Explorer. Went in to the AD today and placed on the list for the Air King.
Love mine Airking, I bought it for the birth of my son in 2022🙌🏻. I have also de Seadweller 43 and Explorer 2 polar. Now i’m hunting for an GMT 16170 Coke 😅
I just ran across this Rolex today and it captivated me instantly, I've never been a Rolex guy as I've never considered myself necessary to spend this much on a watch , and now I feel hooked on a watch that really connects to my imagination , to my current grin as well . Do I make the investment just maybe !
I did recently buy an Air King exactly for its design not shouting at everybody: hello, I am a Rolex! Love Rolex watches but I do not dare to wear any of my classic Rolex watches in every situation anymore. This will become my daily rocker...70 hours of power reserve are also excellent..
@@TalkingTimepieces after Air-King i was looking for a long time (it was a really hard) Christopher Ward Cranwell 1 - it is both similar and so different from AK. Like both of them !
I have the Rolex Airking 126900 I did have the 116900 and sold it regretted it afterwards sold my Submariner as it was boring and to many fakes around.126900 is what I wear everyday.
This Air King has the best qualities as an everyday watch. I have a sub and Datejust. Both have polished features that you just can’t rock it everyday like the Air King. It’s my next target.
Rolex, for this AK model, why not change the 3,6 n 9 to III, VI and IX to avoid confusion with the numbering? Also relaunch the white dial with this model. Thanks for the vid, man.

Long live the King: the Air King 👑👌❤️👍

Previous model got parachrome spring too
...and a Faraday cage

I just love mine. Not a love at first sight but I appreciate it more and more. Impressive presence and accuracy.
That. Presence and accuracy. It's such a solid watch

I think the new Air King is an Explorer with a cooler face. It has the same movement as the no-date Sub.
cool video and content. loving my 126900 such a beauty, with so many upgrades they truely nailed it.
They really, finally, did.
Got potential it’s a great daily wear. Also like the Explorer 2 white dial.
Agreed!
I really enjoy the look of the new Air King! Its definitely on my list of 'wants'

Good hunting!!

It really is a cool watch, both very Rolex and very not typical Rolex
@@TalkingTimepieces Great review as well Thanks
Air King is a great watch. Bought one last week love it.
Good choice!
I got mine in March. I love it
Love it. Trying to justify having one alongside my explorer
@boop8621 yeah very similar
Its Pure Class...
Love that watch. One of my favorite Rolex, actually, favorite watches. Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoy it!

Well said!
Top in current collection. I owned it and I’m satisfied
I almost prefer the original single digit 5. But love the lugs. It would be cool to offer different bracelets, leather or Jubile.
I have a "fun with straps" episode on this watch. You can always change them
Superb comparison to a Flieger👌
Glad you think so!

Some people say they don’t like it and wouldn’t buy one just like a Daytona years ago.
Hopefully that makes it a future collectable!
Is it easy to get air king
Sadly not, it's as hard to get as the others. But its resale is less than some Rolexes.
@@TalkingTimepieces I got one few days a go from rolex
I am on the waiting list now for over one year...@@TalkingTimepieces
I put my name on the list last month and one arrived for me yesterday.. very luxurious and expensive AD / area as well. First call.
@@0xDankberg very cool
The Air King line actually pre-dates the Submariner and Explorer. It was actually first introduced in the year 1945.
I thought it was launched in 1958, I stand corrected.

This is the first video I've ever seen on a air king. Very interesting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
