Hello, sorry for my late answer, busy with Christmas preparations ;) My door panels are original but the armrest are covered with black leather, let somebody do that for me 15years ago ;) but if you search for that you will find youtube videos to do that yourself.
Hello, iff I know what you mean, i tried to explain in the video that you have to break the original honda vents of the center panel with a screw driver or maybe warm it up so the glue gets weak and then glue the vents on the new center panel. Greetz Kimbo
@@KimboEK4 my original panel center (US 98 Honda hatchback)doesn’t have that wide piece in between the vents. Mine is thin, I just bought an aftermarket one that looks just like yours and my vents don’t fit from the original one at all.
I have an European Honda Civic EK4. Maybe you have to look for the center Piece like on ebay in a European country. If you must order it at a Honda dealer it would be way to expensive.
I know you address this in the description but unless you have access to a JDM/EDM stereo fascia with intact A/C vents; DON'T DO THIS. USDM vents DO NOT FIT. You will wind up with 2 ugly, gaping holes in your dash, that is going to cost you a minimum of $150 USD to fill them with the proper sized, and imported, AC Vents. I just UNDID my 9 inch headunit and ac relocation for a stock set up with a true single din android stereo, and it looks 1,000 times better.
@@GoneAsGoneCanBe i did not know this when making this video. That's why i put it in the description. The reason why i switched to this setup is because my old radio was broken and i wanted to use spotify and i also wanted to connect my hondata S300 V3 with the radio to be possible to read my ecu and let it show on the screen. I have my civic since 2002 and i did not liked the look enough of the center of the dash. That was also the reason to make it more modern. But that's everybody's taste.
@@KimboEK4 Fair enough. I DID like the big screen. When installed properly it looks great, and if I had your vents, stock, I DEFINITELY would have kept it. It just looks SO ugly with out the vents. But, much like you, I was not aware of the vent size difference before buying one. Of course the only complete stereo fascias you can find that have the vents are for the Civic Type R, at least $100 USD, usually more, and its like are you really gonna buy a Type R fascia just to gut the vents? I have heard of people cutting a section out of their usdm vents, gluing them back together, and making that work. But I would worry about longevity of the vents at that point. Other people have cut the vents out of both fascias and plastic weld/glue the stock vents to the 9 inch fascia and then body working it until it looks good. Because of the cost associated with just the CTR fascia, or all of the work that would go into frankensteining the two fascias together, most people with 96-98 usdm civics would be better off locating the guts of a 99-00 civic dash and swapping that over if they have to have the 9 inch screen. I think my screen is 5.9 inches. Perfectly adequate for wireless carplay.
Hello, I had more people asked for it, when I made the video I did not know that there is a differents between the european version and the american one. Behore I found complete climate controls on ebay (european countrys) but everyone is buying them I think. I do not know somebody with one.
Dank u wel voor de duidelijk video, heb onlangs een ej8 coupe gekocht en wou al een ff deze doen. Doe zo door pie❤

Daim, I would love to have a similar radio inside my Peugot 206! B-)
I've got a Peugot 206 too, such a radio would indeed be great.
Could you get me those vents or a bezel?
