Happy Ionic 5N owner here. This vehicle is a blast! Not only fun to drive but also a reliable family suv that can seat 5, with lots of room for luggage. But mash the pedal (especially in Sport mode with the NGB button pressed and watch out!) I have absolutely smoked my share of Mustang GT's, Carmaros, Challengers and more. My car does not have any rear hatch rattle and is dead quiet over bumpy roads. I get around 237 miles on a full charge, but normally only charge it to 80% to extend battery life. Every morning I get excited knowing that I get to drive it to work. If I had to pick on any dowsides, and I am being nit-picky here, is that the seats are a little tight around my back (my wife does not like how they are too hard compared to her Audi Q7 and that they hold her too tightly). Secondly, the audio system is so-so compared to our Q7 - it could use some speakers on the dashboard and upper front doors. Other than those nit-picks, this is my most favorite car I have ever owned. Great job Hyundai!
237 miles is a lot to be honest, i have watched most of the reviews on this car.. and most people said its lower. I will own one in a month, and range is really the only thing that is disturbing me. A few things to note:
The fake audio isnt convincing enough. IMO its the only thing that needs serious improvement to be convincing.
2. This sounds better or as good as MANY REAL gas cars. Cars like the civic type R sound like DOGSHIT but no one claims. Id take this car over a Type R for that teason alone because one of the few things I like a about my v8 or any gas cars is sound. Id certainly rather here this ioniq 5 than even many turbo 6 cylinder cars...
3. The fake gearshift and stuff is VERY convincing. Even most gearheads wouldnt realize if they were blindfolded
4. The weight is still a bit noticeable. Then again a X3M weighs 4500lbs are so and both perform almost identically in a straight line and around a track
70 grand for a hyundia is insane
For 70k they can't make the fake noises better? They are so unbelievably bad.
Seems ridiculous to me Little range - too much technology- interior looks plastic
Ridiculous review, complaining about the car hitting "red line" - it's an EV that's designed to be like a ICE, so bouncing off the red line is part of the fun.
first time sooo early can i get a hi
kids doing kid things
@@usaf2011 thanks for replying
I forgot to mention that you could've easily found out what each N button does in about two minutes. They're both configurable to whatever you want. Why are car reviewers so lazy?

Is it me or does the exhaust sound like a toilet flushing? 🤔
Sounds like a roblox car lol
Gran Turismo 2
fake shifting, fake motor noise.... is like a tofu hamburger
You sound like the kinda guy that "straight pipes" your civic
@@Highlander1432 why lol
@@Highlander1432tbh u sound like the guy that defends the electrics at all costs xd
@Dario01
Most EVs are overpriced, overweight and underwhelming.
This one has sensory feedback in the form of "fake" noises/shifting/etc
It's tacky but it's a step in the right direction imho
@@Highlander1432 true, yeah I understand but still it's fake feedback.
It's like the SUV thing, it's neither one thing or the other and ends up being bad at both.
I respect much more the electric cars that are not trying to be something that they are not
I had to go back and hear the pricing one more time. Realistically who would buy this for $66k?
@@71Gaming
Comparable to other EV "performance" cars
Those that can afford it, and those that realistically understand just what the N5 is and can do!
And I paid No markup or addendums when I bought mine in July this year.
Food for thought,
In 2006,, the msrp for the Audi B7 Rs4 was 68-72 k
And it wasn't this capable!
Drive the Tesla Highland Performance. Faster still and far more refined as an EV. For 20k less too. Not much comes close to it on the road.
Konyol sekali, kendaraan listrik diberi efek suara, kalau pingin suara ganti aja dengan mesin pembakaran.
So much textinformation in the car and the fake sound from the engine sounds like 🤮
For 68k idk about this lol. Tesla still wins. More affordable and just as quick
