Update for how Scizor is in current gen 9: Incredible. Imagine adaptability technician Scizor without the weaknesses of bug type while still having stab U-turn. That's what Scizor has right now, it's easily one of the best terra mons in the game. You terra steel and if your running adamant choice band, your bullet punch literally does minimums of roughly 80% to neutral targets, and just kills after rocks and spikes. Oh and don't even get me started on if you get an SD up, game over.
@@stealthy9156 its actually an excellent typing with only one weakness and alotta resistances, and steel and bug correlate each other very well patching up their fighting, ground, rock and flying wekanesses.
Update: Scizor is currently TEARING up the UU meta, sitting at S tier with Keldeo, running bulky offsensive, swords dance life orb sets, and choice band sets

What it means is that now I have a new solid contender for "most useless thing I know". The current champion is that in Borderlands 2, there is an unobtainable prefix for Jakobs pistols called "pepperbox". These weapons have increased rate of fire but low stats otherwise. But since all Jakobs pistols are semi-auto, the written rate of fire on the item card is almost meaningless, and you can get a Jakobs pistol with a rate of fire above the highest the game's engine can handle anyway, without the "pepperbox" prefix. So even if you hacked one in, it would be clearly outclassed by every similar gun in the game.
Scizor looks like an armored robot bug designed for warfare. From its armor's menacing red color scheme (red is often symbolized for war), its pincers designed to both scare and seriously hurt its opponents, to its wings giving it some flight capabilities, yet often used for cooling purposes. It's Mega Evolution jacked up Scizor's combat prowess: its pincers looked like mini gators (eye-like hinge and serrated jaws), an intimidating armor upgrade, and blade-like legs. Seriously, Scizor always looks like it's going to the front lines.

I'll always love Scizor, Scyther was the first shiny Pokemon I ever caught and it was in HeartGold at the national park. Me too. I caught Scyther in Crystal in a Bug catching Contest. I learned it good moves. But the metal Coat is a pain for me, trying to get Magnemite with Metal Coat but it doesn't have the coat. So I waited until when I board the S.S Anne. Finally I traded with myself with two GBCs and bam. I got Scizor.
That's amazingly lucky. Always nice when your shiny is also viable. My favorite shiny is my Adamant 30 attack IV metagross from pokemon ruby. I still use it for the battle frontier.

It’s something about that race car red that has made Scizor one of my favorite Pokémon for a long time. It just *screams* cool, original Pokémon design
I love seeing Scizor's versatility throughout its competitive lifetime. It goes though different EV spreads to adapt, maintains a customizable spread of moves, and can use multiple Gems and Z-Crystals effectively. It was even amazing to see it stack Quick Attack on top of Bullet Punch in Gen 7 UU as a decent option.

Oh damn, I've been watching these videos since 2017 and I finally made it into one 😂 (Michael Shaw - 10th at Orlando, 2014) I also used the same Scizor to make T16 at Georgia a few months later mainly as a check to Mamoswine, since I was also running Salamence and Garchomp
Scizor is a great Pokémon who, if you save until you've dealt with fire types, can be terrifying, and when he goes Mega...he becomes a Godless Killing Machine. I've won games where Scizor took out 5/6 Pokémon from the enemy, my whole team was dedicated to allowing him so set up safely, so he could always set up at least 2 Sword Dances, after that, it's murder time, nothing can stop it.

@Juan Gomez Gyarados began its reign of intimidate during gen 3, I give you that. Starmie began being excellent since the very beginning ruining the existence of Blastoise and the mega. Even in gen 7 UU, Starmie was, well, a star in that tier. Lapras is plain awful.
lapras was pretty solid at the time, just more of a tank than a sweeper like starmie. while not as diverse of a movepool, lapras can still use electric type moves and hit quite hard, i remember it very fondly of my first ever pokemon red playthrough when i was 7 yrs old.
I really hope Scizor is included in the Sword/Shield DLC. It would easily fix so many problems with doubles, mainly in giving Fairy types (Especially Togekiss) another counter.
The great thing is that it can switch in on so many things because of its typing and natural bulk. It will wreck so much havoc now that HP fire is gone

Fun fact about my Scizor at Salt Lake City 2018...It got removed in Round 2 because it had wrong Special Attack stat. So I had to go the entire event with 5 mons.
The introduction of Intim Incin in VGC 2018 is actually what inspired Scizor rain. Scizor prefers to see Incin than Lando, because Incin isn't a switchin: +1 HH Bug Bite not only OHKOes, but gives Scizor massive healing. Regardless of that little misconception, good video, and thanks for covering my favorite Pokemon :)
Scizor’s been my favourite Poke since Gen 2 and he became tied with Deoxys for favourite Poke when Gen 3 came out. Just wish my shiny Scizors weren’t green, lol.

@Juan Gomez Gyarados began its reign of intimidate during gen 3, I give you that. Starmie began being excellent since the very beginning ruining the existence of Blastoise and the mega. Even in gen 7 UU, Starmie was, well, a star in that tier.
Lapras is plain awful.
lapras was pretty solid at the time, just more of a tank than a sweeper like starmie. while not as diverse of a movepool, lapras can still use electric type moves and hit quite hard, i remember it very fondly of my first ever pokemon red playthrough when i was 7 yrs old.

I really hope Scizor is included in the Sword/Shield DLC. It would easily fix so many problems with doubles, mainly in giving Fairy types (Especially Togekiss) another counter.

It's great that even when Scizor doesn't shine as much in battle, the fear it poses on field and in teambuilder still changes how people play
I got really excited when I saw the thumbnail on my recommended because Scizor is my absolute favourite Pokémon
one of my absolute favourites! In Gold/Silver my best friend used his metal coat to get a Steelix and I got a Scizor, such fond memories!

Fun fact about my Scizor at Salt Lake City 2018...It got removed in Round 2 because it had wrong Special Attack stat. So I had to go the entire event with 5 mons.

The introduction of Intim Incin in VGC 2018 is actually what inspired Scizor rain. Scizor prefers to see Incin than Lando, because Incin isn't a switchin: +1 HH Bug Bite not only OHKOes, but gives Scizor massive healing.

Scizor’s been my favourite Poke since Gen 2 and he became tied with Deoxys for favourite Poke when Gen 3 came out.

In Diamond, Magnezone was often run as a steel trapper with choice scarf for HP Fire OHKO on Scizor. iirc it was an important part of one of the top curselax teams

I never played competitively, but used Scizor in my HG playthrough as one of my mains and he absolutely wrecked everything in that game.
Bug Type is so generally bad because they poured all of their energy and power into Scizor, like Goku's Spirit Bomb
