I love the layers and chippy paint. The Dairy sign is just crazy that it's not old. I will so be pouring salt on my paint!!! You absolutely know what you're doing and knock it out of the park!!!! 😃😃😃😃
Hi. So happy I found a way to do signs without having to buy a Cricut! I love your techniques. Also love watching a fellow Canadian. Look forward to watching all your videos! Both of today's projects are awesome but I have to say my favourite is #1.
Thank you for sharing all your tips & techniques, I am so happy that some of the "older retro" methods have come back, crackle & decoupage to name two 😀 & I love your new spin on the methods, so much easier & faster. 😍 My fav is the "Retro Cool Junk" sign.....so groovy lol
You have NO IDEA how many ideas the going via hiking round is giving me. I was born with the gift for the arts and I don’t say that to brag at all, but that would have been a DOPE (cool for those of you there were not in NYC in the 90s) Jupiter relief style painting. Dang it! I pray that I will be blessed enough to find a round for myself.
Hi Deidra. Just come across your wonderful channel from this side of the pond, Bolton, Lancashire, UK. I'm a professional artist doing painting demonstrations across the care sector here but lost my self employed title due to the impact of Covid-19 restrictions. This in effect, destroyed my confidence over the last 12 months. I lost the will to paint and my creative juices stopped flowing. I recently got motivated by a very good ex art teacher who had set up a gallery and invited me to join their network, registered with the charity and became gallery manager. I still couldn't find the will to paint though but I really enjoy this new experience. As we developed the gallery, I found lots of old pallets which kind of inspired me to look differently at art. I began cutting them, used my old acrylic paints to colour them which took me in a new direction. I didn't quite know what to do further so I searched on line and came across your bubbly, live enthusiastic touch. I've completely turned a corner and with your experience and knowledge, have been combining my art with wood. I find you totally engaging and will be replicating many of your expert guidance as I continue to build. Thank you so much for your help and truly inspiring me. I will show you one or two pieces of my recent work... XX
Oh no how unfortunate that you had to go through that but I’m glad that you have found me and I can inspire I appreciate all of the kind words and I wish you the best with your new endeavours❤️
Ooooh! I like both of those!! I always see black and white layers done so this was especially great to watch. The technique using multiple colors is so pretty! (I would never have thought to do different colors underneath.) ❤️ I love it, and ooooooh, I can’t wait to try that out!!! 😃 I’m so glad you shared these with us! Now, to go out in the shed, and begin the hunt for wood…
I enjoy your content so much. Your videos are packed with great information but not too long. Thank you for taking the time to make these! I know this small business owner has appreciated them! Hope you’re well, thanks again🤍
I love that the image is more distressed this time-matches the amazing chippy background! I’m learning so much from your channel, thanks so much for sharing your process!!!
You are SO AWESOME! I gotta try this! This is why I love the distressed look. No one cares about that paper not coming up all the way. LOVE IT!! Thanks so very much for this video.
I could watch these thrift store DIYs all day! Your videos are the perfect amount of time to see how you do this. Great content, from another Ontarian thanks!
Normally I don’t care for overly chippy or overly distressed, but I absolutely love how these both turned out! Love your technique, can’t wait to try it out 💞
I LOVE THE SECOND ONE… It looks authentic and exactly the intended outcome. The first one is beautiful but because the lettering looks so sharp it looks like new lettering on an old piece of wood but that second one tree looks like an antique sign that you found in some barn way back in there hiding. I freaking love it the more imperfect it looks the more authentic it is I am absolutely going to use this technique on that exact type of wood thank you so much you have absolutely gained a gnu far I am so glad I found this channel. ✌🏾❤️
Thank you for all the great tutorials, loved learning new techniques. On the round sign I think the little pieces of paper in the sign gives it a great vintage look ❤
Both are are pretty dang awesome! I love the idea of just sprinkling the pickling salt on the paint, the result looks so authentic! Great job once again!😊
I love the East Street sign and I love the salt. And I wanted to share, because you usually always do black and white I actually tried a green fern on a whiteboard and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. So color really works as well
I like that you showed the challenges you had with the round sign. That encourages us through times when we might think we did something wrong because it isn't working as fast as we thought.
Thanks for watching 🌸 it was a buggar !! But I loved the paint underneath so I pushed thru and keep rubbing. It was a challenge but worth it I think ❤️
I think that there was a program where the a jet set printing was used the paper was sprayed with what forgot dried for hours then dipped water and transfer came to be used without effort... Ivan not find that program..please help maybe it was another program. Thanks
Thankyou so much for your amazing videos . I have learnt so much watching them. my favourite is the circle . I liked the first sign but I soooooo loved the second . You are so clever . Look forward to watching other videos. I have only just found you . WOW X
When you talked about using wax that the colour wouldn’t stick to that area I remember the blanket we bought on a trip. They used the wax technique to draw a picture on it and then dyed it blue. Where the wax was used stayed white. I’m am going to try this technique on my big welcome signs. Love that multi layer look.
I like the way the cool junk turned out. I think the graphic looking pristine on the worn out board is too perfect. I like the distressed graphics; they fit better with the background.
I have done very similar with Woodglut designs.
Love the second sign, both super cute, but that second one is adorable. Not even something I wouldn’t typically be drawn to, but I really loved it!
Thanks so much!!
I love the layers and chippy paint. The Dairy sign is just crazy that it's not old. I will so be pouring salt on my paint!!! You absolutely know what you're doing and knock it out of the park!!!! 😃😃😃😃
Thanks so much!! Yes use the salt trick it works great!! ❤️
Nothing better than finding cool junk in the woods. I love when that happens.
Right!!! and it made a perfect sign
My favorite sites: those that use low-cost ways to make lovely things. You are DEFINITELY one of them!!!

The retro junk sign, although it's not my style, is absolutely adorable. It has so much personality

Mine too!

Still trying to discover my artistic flair as per se! Your videos are great!

Right!!! Always finding great treasures. ❤️ my husband says we always bring home more then we take
Love how the glue makes it crackle. I'm kinda OCD so I would've had the graphic perpendicular with the lines in the wood but great idea!

Oh I remember seeing that technique also! I need to find a video on how they did that again
@@OurUpcycledLife Did you ever find that video? I can't get my head around the wax on fabric... 🤔
I like the way the cool junk turned out. I think the graphic looking pristine on the worn out board is too perfect. I like the distressed graphics; they fit better with the background.
