    They are all beautiful. That gold looks amazing, and it sort of looks like a label, that wore, where you can still see the mod podge/paper, from doing the transfer. The same thing with the last project, with the cinnamon, what you can see from that residue, reminds me of an old label. That cinnamon trick is great. I love the end result. Thank you so much, for doing these.

    So amazing how you turn old things into "new" things. Love it. I have tried the reverse Mod Podge transfer method and I always have trouble with the ink bleeding when I rub the paper off. I use an inkjet printer. what am I doing wrong?

    • @OurUpcycledLife
      @OurUpcycledLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ink jet printers can be tricky! Some work better then others. Just work on small areas as you rub off and don't use much water. That should help. Takes practise. They will always turn out lighter then laser jet printer transfer though. Here is a comparison video. th-cam.com/video/psvAy52rnLY/w-d-xo.html

    Love everything you do! I have tried the transfers several times and can.t get a sharp image. I use a laser printer. Have a had time removing all the paper. Am I using too much mod podge? Oulines of the paper show up and the whole thing looks cloudy. I love this tecnique and I keep trying but result is not good. Does the fact that I don't use your recipe for chalk paint make a difference?

    • @OurUpcycledLife
      @OurUpcycledLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This process does take a little bit of practice a couple tips you want to make sure you’re using the cheapest computer paper you can find so you don’t have a lot of paper that you need to rub off and do not put them on Podge onto thick if you were seeing an outline it probably means you’re using too much keep trying

    We did the rub off technique with our wedding invitations back in the 70’s. How much does a laser jet printer cost nowadays? What brand do you use.

    I purchased some of your graphics, but want to make some of my own... customized with family member names. What do you use to design your images? Thanks for the tips! The cinnamon was a brilliant idea!

    I’ve been inspired and have tried chalk painting frames. My problem is that when I go to seal it with a poly, the chalk paint moves around and distresses more. What am I doing wrong?

      Hmmmm! I have never had that happen so I am unsure? What painting technique were you doing?

    Why is there a greyish shadow around the graphic? Is it from the glue?
