People say the s22 ultra battery sucks but actually I found out ways how to improve it -Use Airplane Mode with Wifi (when you're at the house) (If you are using dual sim, disable one) (Enable sims ONLY when youre going out, doing this will help the phone better understand its priorities) -Use your phone often for a week Ik it may sound stupid but actually using your phone more helps the battery find ways to manage power efficiently and learn your usage pattern Just a month ago when I first got it, my battery was terrible, only until a week ago I started caring less about my battery life, and let the phone do its thing (everything was in default settings) And sure enough, I was able to get 9 hours screen on time yesterday with around 19% left on the phone which was just incredible (don't start charging your phone at 35%-60%, charge it either when it's completely drained or it's 10-20%) You can charge it to 100% but not too often

Thank you for continuing to make these videos! I’m still considering an older Samsung flagship phone since their new phones are so expensive and their trade in values are on the low side. In fact, I have a Samsung S22 Plus in my cart on Amazon that’s renewed. I’m only hesitant to buy it because I bought an S21 FE on there a couple years ago and the call quality on it was awful. I didn’t know if that was the refurbisher being cheap on parts or if the phone itself was a dud.

I've been a flap ship guy for years now, to future proof myself. Using an s22 ultra with no upgrade of need in sight. However, phone have gotten so good recently I think my next upgrade will be a lower end value phone like the FE or a flag ship that's used. The need for the next best miniscule upgrade is a thing of the past.
I would argue if you're truly on a budget to take a look at the S20 series, I have the vanilla 4G S20 and honestly I have no issues with it, battery life is solid, cameras are solid, the only gripe is it's now stuck on Android 13 but apps are still supported and the phone is still blazingly fast for a 4 year old device.
I love my Note 20 ultra. I will never trade it in. I actually traded in my S22 Ultra. The July 2024 update had it constantly restarting. It was awful. I’m lucky they let me trade it in.
@thomasdeborah8076 no no. Once the update was completed it kept the screen flashing and restarting to the point where I couldn't even text a sentence. That's how fast and quick is was restarting. It wasn't restarting every day but rather every minute. Really strange.

It depends on your needs, but generally I would recommend the S21u. Newer processor, it'll get Android 15 (compared to Android 13) etc. Although I would recommend you get an S22 series phone if you can

The same reason they buy those exact phones to take pictures, do video calls, create & edit documents, watch uhd videos, navigate etc. Thats why they're called smartphones. It's not 1992 anymore when phones were just for calling and texting. You can still buy a basic mobile phone and forego all the advancements in technology.
Be careful with the amazon renewed Samsung phones, people replace their screens with non OEM versions. I bought an s10 plus just to try it out and you could easily tell it's on an OEM screen

I would steer clear of the S22 ultra if you need all day battery life. Even if you use all the adaptive battery settings features blah blah blah you'll be lucky if you can get 9 hours out of the phone. Redeeming feature though has to be those cameras. The pen and the editing software. 3:26
The Note 20 Ultra battery life is really bad (barely lasted me a day with heavy use), but it charges 0-100 in 70 minutes. Whatever you care about more, since the phone is literally a tablet
But terrible software support, they get like 2 years of updates, you're better off buying a flagship cuz you still get powerful performance and much more

bruh I bought a new sealed s22plus for 720dollars last December 2023 mofo still holds its place in the market sealed new, as I don't trust refurbished/used devices. if I plan to upgrade, Id go for the s24 ULTRA, simply because of the flat screen, but not for at least a 3 years period of using this one.
Avoid the Note20 ultra if u can. Focusing issues. Bad camera experience overall. Horrible selfie camera in low light- like really bad. Battery is average.
I had to upgrade from an A12 as well, just got super slow over time and multitasking is a big thing for my job, ultimately went for a vanilla Galaxy S20, still a solid phone

Depends on your preference really, if you want an S pen then S22 ultra but I'd go for the 23 plus because more recent software updates

S22plus is awesome plus I needed 512 GB. Samsung recertified with new battery one year warranty after my phone trade in was about 600 dollars.

If you want the newer device it’s the s22 Ultra which came out in spring 2022. The note 20 ultra is a 2020 device. 2 year difference between them.

Look at an S20, they're fairly cheap now and you won't notice any sort of power differential, plus the screens are all 120hz capable AND 1440p
