So, a little backstory for this video: a few months ago I was watching Chopped Celery's playthrough. There, in the comments, it was said that rogue party members suck in Origins and that Leliana is only good for picking locks... Now that I'm making my Master Assassin Trilogy build(originally I intended to solo but), I decided to play the whole game as a duo with Leliana(Bard Assassin as well, with stacking Cunning). Despite the fact that I'm a total killing machine, she took every single finisher from me! Every. Single. One. She is such a monster with those daggers, it is unbelievable. She was just clowning my Warden throughout our journey... So I just had to make a video about it. Man, I wish we would have this Leliana in Inquisition when we fight against Alexius. The whole quest would be done in 10 minutes. She is such a treasure! To think that someone would only use her for lockpicking... lol.
@@ShallBeMine After they get Arrow of Slaying and Scattershot, they are awesome. Pinning Shot and Shattering shot are also great. Sadly, on pc, Archery is weaker than on console because of the ridiculously long aiming time - hence you need to use the Repeater Gloves on your archer. And since there is only one Repeater Gloves, I don't tend to use more than one archer(but I can use more than one DD rogue). Except if I go for a Ranger squad. :)
I did a rogue-party playthrough with MC, Leliana and Zevran as DW rogues. They were killing machines. Unstopable. "Only good in picking locks", lol. Archers are beasts in Awakening though. Once had a double finisher when Ohgren and Leliana killed an Ogre in sync. Looked really cool.
Actually for the proper min/maxing I should wear that thing - but I refuse to, since it's so ugly with the rest of my equipment. Still, I did not want it to go to waste, so I just let Leliana have the bucket. :)
Never talk bad about Leliana 🤬. We're married now and have 6 wonderful kids. She's a great mother. With speed and stealth buffs she can catch and punish a wayward offspring BEFORE they misbehave
3:50 lol! Wonder which is worse for Logain, losing to the man he called a traitor, who would later be known as a hero?… or losing badly to said traitor’s Orlesian ally? I can’t decide🫠
I feel like rogues in DAO and DAI work better using the non default ''canon'' weapon they are used too. Leliana better with daggers, same as Varric, and Sera and Cole as an archer and his assassin spec can truly be the Shadow of the Death when using Stealth.
Yeah, kinda true. Varric and Leliana are better, hands down. Zevran is better with two daggers, but mostly because you get him late, so you have limited stats for him. Sera I think canonically speaking, she comes with a bow - at least that is what she starts with and talks about(shooting this and that). But her special skill from her spec is literally called Thousand Cuts, so I don't know. She is definitely the best with a bow. Cole is certainly more safe/useful when he uses a bow.
@@Nagram_ I think she is the exception then - I think she can deal more damage with the bow if she uses Lightning Flask properly with a tier 3-4 bow. :)
Im badically running my game with Archer Leliana. My dual wield warrior warden and tank alistair just...take the hits while Leliana does ridiculous damage. I never optimized her, but I started using the respec potion mod and dear lord. Building her from scratch to make her a sniper turret is horrifying to watch in battle.
“He finally did it, his first kill” …that shit fucking sent me hahahaha Fantastic work as always, can’t wait to see the final vid 😉 Btw what should we call you? Lastly, here’s to hoping one day you give modded builds a try. It would be amazing to find out what could be done with your knowledge behind it! p.s. there’s now a mod for inquisition that lets you create your own skill tree 😉 seriously though i would pay as a patron if it means we can ask for builds or vids.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! :) I guess "Herceg" is good, since many people refer to me that way already. :) I used to play with a lot of mods. Problem is, it is so easy to go down the rabbit hole for me. I spent so much time modding the games, I barely got to actually play it. Until around 5 years ago I stopped modding my games completely. Plus most people don't really mod, so I try to make builds that don't rely on mods. But this skill tree mod sounds great. It let's me create my own skill tree? From existing skills? And I can combine them together? I will check it out! EDIT: I forgot to ask for the name of the mod. I tried to search for it but I can't seem to find it.
Mind sharing the Build? BEEN SUFFERING WITH STEN IN MY PARTY, but since my Warden is already a rogue, I feared to put another rogue in the team. It's my first playthrough.
Funnily enough, i saw in someone's stream people commented archers are the weakest. I just laugh out loud and said to myself they dont know what they are saying
I do not like dual weapon style. Yes, it is fun play with it, but not honor :) , I have feel, that I am a total thief and murderer even if I was playing as a honor warrior class and no for real warrior, which can be champion, a leader every army, which rogue can not be.
I was looking through comments online about specializations in Origins and I was just reminded of the one skill: Captivating Song for the bard spec. Have you ever tried a build with it or made some use with it? Tbh I completely forgot it existed lol. I only remember it from facing Majorilne(butchered the spelling) when she uses it after Superman punching my companion’s health away.
I think it is pretty much useless on Nightmare. It stuns for a very short time, it disables all your other abilities and removes other Bard buffs. I guess you can activate it then Force Field the rogue, but then what? The aoe is very small and the stun lasts less than a second on enemies. Plus you lose dps, since basically you are removing one of your party member from combat. This song would be super useful if it would not paralyze you, and it would simply create a stun field around you. That would be handy for a rogue, but since it makes you unable to anything else, it is pretty much useless.
@@AKisHerceg yeah that’s disappointing to hear. Too bad because the bard tree is pretty boring overall. How would you change the specialization(s) in Origins/Awakening if you had a hand in a remake? I felt like it wasn’t only the bard tree that lacked so it would be fun to discuss. For me, I would totally intergrate companion specific trees like DA2 did. With Origins though I would make it to where Morrigan would have a stronger version of Shapeshifter and new forms since she learned from Flemeth and has a lot of experience with it. Same with The elven lady from Awakening(forgot her name) or Leliana with the bard tree. I would also make new trees for Alistair since he never took lyrium(ik in comics it was retconned he did but i don’t like that). Maybe make Spirit Warrior exclusive to Justice but that can be argued. @@indeathsacrifice6781 Naturally I would re-work the Reaver, the Templar, and the Shapeshifter tree immediately. Two out of four talent is garbage with the Reaver - Blood Frenzy would give at least 5 dmg per 10% health loss. It would also get an offensive ability instead of the useless Aura of Pain. Templars would have targeted Dispel instead one that you can't use on Nightmare without messing up your mage's sustained spells. Shapeshifters would get direct damage bonus after the Magic attribute. And you could also morph into more forms. These are the specs I would fix instantly. Maybe I would also give one offensive skill to the Assassin instead of the bugged passive, and Arcane Warriors would also get some type of physical attack skill. :)
@@AKisHerceg I would hope for a skill similar to holy smite in inquisition for the Templar because it was so fun.
