I saw The Apprentice. At the end Roy Cohn seemed to be thinking two things: he saw himself in djt and was repulsed by it; he was terrified by what he had created in djt.
He was not pleased that he kicked Russell out of the Hyatt, for sure. That part I'm guessing is true. But the rest is probably artistic license. My guess, anyway.
Just saw the Apprentice tonight at the movie theater and I have to say Ali Abassi NAILED IT! Paying for tickets was definitely worth it. I didn't necessarily learn anything new abt Trump, but it was actually a great depiction of how Donald started out with Roy Cohn as his mentor. It was definitely worth it, I think. A job well done! 👌🏻
The Apprentice is a much better movie than I expected. It's fast-paced, funny, and gripping. Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong both give excellent performances worthy of Oscar nominations. The script is tight, witty, and insightful. The direction is solid, and the movie captures New York in the 70s and 80s perfectly. Great movie.
Because she wasn’t serious. You could see it in her obsession with his one rom com.The director said he did stories about America and how we see ourselves in them and she’s asking about an ancient rom com and giggling.
@@1957es Jeremy Strong is not the director (Ali Abbasi), he's an actor who portrays Roy Cohn. There was nothing wrong with her trying to lighten the mood by asking about his role (as a PA) on "You've Got Mail" but she should have dropped it once he seemed disinterested in discussing it further.
They're probably exhausted from all the interviews and always having to be "on" to answer the same questions, the interviewer seemed to want to inject some lightness into the questions but they didn't go over well, and imagine talking about a work project over and over and over and over. Yes, it's part of the job, but it can get tedious.
I try not to be surprised. It's like he really needs to something lethal on that famous point on NY and he really might walk free. It's like its America's job to make him succeed. He really is an example of your worden, the dumbest, the most bigoted, not funny a great liar, greedy ugly ugly criminal. Ooh how I despise him. 🇺🇸💙👋🏾🇳🇱🇸🇷
Right? Way back in the 80s I saw him on a Barbara Walters special saying gross things about then-child Ivanka and thought he was absolutely foul. Then it came out about him refusing to rent to black people. And stiffing contractors. Etc. Yet his supporters like to pretend people just hate him for no reason, when he's been icky af for _at least_ half a century.
Some megadonor should pay all the networks to show this film on primetime so the undecideds that "still don't have enough info." can learn more about their non-option.

Sebastian stan looks so tired in this interview. Poor man struggles to find the words with every question. Saw the movie today. Great acting from both of these men
These guys are a joke . . This Hollywood for you . Don’t know the guy according to their own words, and they made a movie without the facts , just based on what others impression of Trump are . Trump to me is a guy like any other with virtues and flaws like all of us have . I do not judge the man because I do not him
Isn’t this movie election interference…? I mean where on earth can a movie open 15 days before an election for President of the United States depicting one of the candidates as the worst person on earth…?
It’s his life why worry, is he that bad of a person that you can’t depict true things about him or it might hurt him politically? If so that’s sad and just goes to show you he is unfit to be in office. Character matters especially if you’re running for the highest office in the land.
tRUMP doesn't need a film to give him a 'hatchet job', as you state. When he opens his mouth, he already commits himself to being a liar, fact-checked, prosecuted, and eventually jailed. The orange traitor, felon, draft-dodger, misogynist, and narcissistic sociopath is a walking diseased cult leader.
@@Cyndbme And what is Kamala? No one voted for her. I'm not a Trump supporter, btw, just an American with eyes, ears and a brain. If you're a Democrat you should be up in arms that Kamala, who never got a single vote from any Democrat, is the Democratic nominee. Me, I'm voting Jill Stein. I used to vote Democrat but they're so far gone now it's unbearable. The Republicans and Democrats are corrupt and actually working together against third parties. But hey who cares about democracy, right? Do you?
What about all the humanitarian things DT has done, thousand of stories about the great things he has done for, soldiers, families, young entrepreneurs,HUD housing, paying medical bills, funerals, natural disasters? Did you know he was awarded the Ellis Island award for patriotism along with Muhammad Ali and Rosa Parks?
He is not allowed to run his charity anymore because he and his family were found to have misused funds..look it up. He founded Trump university and conned people out of lots of money..he had to settle this lawsuit for I think it was 25 million...he only settled because he wanted to run for president... otherwise he would have used his money to delay resolution and avoid payment.. eventually less wealthy individuals just give up because it gets too expensive

I thought it was great, too. Too bad it probably won't last long in the theaters.
Saw it a the Cineplex in Toronto last week@@kevico2
Sebastian Stan was awesome . He was great in Pamela and Tommy as Tommy. Great great actor ! So is the actor who played Roy Cohn. Fantastic !
That's some genius casting. I never realized how much he looks like trump
He wore prosthetics on his face for the role.

He's about 8 inches shorter
And Jeremy playing Cohn WOW!
ew take that back. sebastian looks nothing like that disgusting excuse of a human being.
Can wait to see this film! Great actors!

Takes guts to portray such a divisive character, bravo.
When’s the Biden one come showing how he lied about hunters laptop and sold out the country to other countries like Russia

For those unaware of this amazing actor Sebastian Stan - Go check out The Tommy Lee and Pam Anderson movie. He nailed that one too.
