People really seem to think that an actor popping up in the big studio movies like Marvel, or successful tv series like something under HBO means they will pop up in every other big thing year after year. Or somehow they turn it into that was the only thing they have. Yet they never bother to actually look actors and their work up outside of the big, popular things. Or they throw around the word underrated. Some people don’t seem to realize that actors also keep working. They do music, independent films, stage/theatre too. Some things get released through the streaming services too. Not all of them are doing it to be a celebrity.
The amazing thing about Sebastian Stan is that he challenges himself so much, and the result is always incredible. Especially with characters based on real people, he really immerses himself in the persons story and portrays them in a whole new light. A truly amazing actor!

I think the typecasting would be up to the agents and directors rather than the actor.

Romania was never so poor as not to eat bananas. During the last years of Ceaușescu regime, 1985-1989 due to forced loan repayment, the internal market was under supplied. He lived indeed as child over those years but really we did not starve but being used with a certain living standard before, it was shock and we resented Ceaușescu for it. Still, Romanians are not poor today and were never as poor as people such as Stan complains.

I literally said this to my students this morning - that we have to face what's dark inside of us, what makes us feel ashamed or guilty, because if we don't, we can't overcome it and become better. Ignoring it lets it remain in control in the background, instead of our being led by our thoughtfully cultivated reason and conscience. I'm impressed with this dude.
Lot of that is subjective though, so there isn't always something to overcome, it's just who you are.
