What needs to happen is let there be no sequel because all that will do is become a Clichè fest, and ruin the predecessor. As is this ending was a let down, I'd seen it coming from the beginning but I thought nah that's too simple, and what do ya fucking know. It's a goddamn Alien Invasion. I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but I'm entitled to my opinion not yours, so before you argue, I'll have you know that your negativity, is irrelevant to my cause. :) and if you agree, then good for you haha XD
I am divided on having a sequel. Sequels tend to ruin good stand alone films mostly lately. If they do it right I might forgive them, at least give a decent ending to her story.
After seeing this movie I left the theater thinking "Damn, I'm interested in seeing the Battle for Houston." Seriously, after nearly 2 hours of watching people in a bunker I'm ready to see her show up, join the resistance and take the fight to the strange alien things.
Battle LA is AWESOME, a bit too much action more than drama but a nice change of scenario since very few Science Fiction Alien Attack Films except World Of The Worlds shows ground combat.
The original title for this film was “The Cellar”, which would have been a more appropriate title. Apparently JJ Abrams got his hands on the script and amazed by “all the similarities between this and Cloverfield”. I’m guessing he probably read an early draft, because this movie has almost nothing to do with Cloverfield. If the term “Cloverfield” is meant to represent an ongoing “monster” anthology series, then I get what they’re going for. But you don’t pretend this is a sequel when it’s not even the same kind of movie, or even takes place on the same Earth for that matter.
The last movie The Cloverfield Paradox, will tie everything together trust me those two movies and the third *are* connected. You should try watching the third and if you already did you should watch a video explaining it all it will blow your mind. :)

Apparently they want to turn Cloverfield into a sort of anthology horror series. I didn't hear this from an official source but it's a believable idea.
I dunno, so far Clover movies have been less action-movie-y and more character-based. Maybe a third movie set in the same universe, but not a direct sequel to Lane.
8:41 the satellite that have fallen back then did not wake the monster (Clover) up. The Tagruato Corp's drilling platform DID. They pretended it was a oil drilling platform but it WASN'T, they were mining some kind of nectar from ocean bed. On Tagruato's website was a map depicting drilling sites all over the world and the platform nearest to NY is the one that got destroyed when monster has awoken from slumber. That satellite was probably tracking Clover's movement.
So in this Universe, the Cloverfield monster and the aliens have nothing to do with eachother? just so happens that there are giant monster attacks and alien invasions happening relatively at the same time? I wonder if God Particle is gonna explain anything.
John Castillo the clover field series is supposed to be a sci-if anthology series kind of like twilight zone. So a series of unconnected movies that go under the same franchise name. That is what JJ has said so far. I really wish/hope that they find a way to connect them
this movie took place in 2016 (hence the smartphone). Howard is Bold Futura`s employee of the month feb 2016. He joined them 7 years earlier, so AFTER the events of the first movie. Before he worked in the navy (stated in this movie). As a conspiracy lover, he must have done some digging, figured out something was out there, created the bunker and that when this movie starts (+ he clearly is a crazy dude) :-D
@@khanubhaii basically that means if she had stayed in Howard's bunker a little longer, they'd have all got the message about Baton Rouge and Houston and could have all went together...
Just to add that while putting back the mask, her character notices that the poisonous gas that the ship/monster had breathed upon the field explodes when it gets in contact with fire: that's why she throws the molotov cocktail into the gaping mouth of that thing, because she now knows that the creature's lungs (or its equivalent) is full with flamable gas.
When I watched this movie, I saw an alternate theory that proposed a theory that made even more sense considering the viral marketing campaign (a part where he contacts his wife wanting to get in touch with his daughter, and the wife replies that he has to let go of this fantasy--suggesting the daughter might have disappeared): Emmet was lying. He had actually abducted and killed Howard's daughter while constructing the bunker, in the air filtration room that Howard couldn't access. Howard's wife left him and he convinced himself that she took the girl with him, but still suspects Emmet deep down. Emmet lied about the girl in the photograph, who was actually Howard's daughter, and Howard's "forgiving him" for the death of his daughter...but delivering justice all the same.
+Mao Zedong Yeah I know. But they are not in the same timeline. Like you said, the few tie-ins were only to boost profits. It's not a sequel, so there can't be a prequel that ties it all together. There could be sequels to the original and the new installment, but they would have to be separate storylines
Yea, I think they will make unrelated movies with the same theme. So far in each clover field, the aliens always won. But in this one they said on the radio at the end that "They were winning and gaining momentum". This is the first movie in the clover verse where there was actual hope. Maybe the next one will be about the aliens actually losing.
The thing is all of that is alleviated with the woman whose skin is burning off. Once you see that, everything Howard is doing to her suddenly has legitimacy. The fact is, he can't open the door if there's some kind chemical radiation still lingering in the air because then it gets into the bunker. He knows that she doesn't understand and isn't likely to just take his word for it, so if he doesn't lock her up, she runs off, and the entire bunker becomes unlivable, and he along with both of them dies. Although, to be honest, being as prepared as his bunker was, I would assume that he would have some kind of internal air purifier or perhaps a way of disconnecting the air purifier from the outside so that it cycles the air within the bunker in order to purify it just in case some contaminated air got into the bunker. So, really, it becomes yeah he's probably okay, but then he keeps acting like he's not fully there and could potentially kill someone if he got upset enough. But then she clobbered him over the head, and he just accepted it like it was just an unfortunate accident. But really, once you saw that woman with her face like that, reacting the way she did, you knew something was wrong out there, and to be honest, that was the clincher that proved something did in fact happen, and that Howard was fully justified in thinking that going to the bunker was necessary. It didn't prove that the air was contaminated, but it sure gave legitimacy to the concern that it probably was.
Ive seen people say that he could've set her and the dead pigs up like that to trick her but if that was faked, she wouldn't have been smashing her damn head on the glass like she was lol
I thought it would still be possible that Howard did something to that woman, maybe burned and poisoned her with some chemicals, making her act erratic.
Kinda get a War of the Worlds vibe from this one. Interesting, I hope they make a third. The Cloverfield monster could have been an alien superweapon dropped to destroy a city, sort of like an organic nuclear warhead.
Not really seeing as though War of the Worlds focused on the alien invasion itself while Cloverfield focused on one singular story within an alien invasion that the view couldn't be entirely sure of
They are going to make a third! In late 2017 "God Particle" will come out, it's the third film in this series according to wikipedia and it will revolve around astronauts. (and aliens I assume)
Would be cool if when she goes outside the aliens are real but friendly helping humanity and howard just made up he's version of the invasion to keep her locked with him in the bunker.
Would have been a better movie if 20 mins in they turned on a freakin' radio and found there was a safe place to go and what was going on and left the stupid bunker and all of them lay off the crazy pills a bit.
My guess was that a biological weapon was not considered a possibility till it was a possibility so he just rigged something up at the last minute. But, that theory is based on nothing but a guess. What do you think, possible?
She couldn't have come back down, since the door was still jammed, she would of had to unjam it to exit, and likewise the door to the outside was still padlocked, she probably tried to go through the vents and tried to kill Howard but failed and ended up dead or committed suicide, the reason i say she tried to kill him is because if she tried just sneaking out she would have failed, and i doubt if he was trying to make her his "replacement daughter" he would have killed her but instead locked her up again, so she probably tried to kill him and failed, although he was in the navy seals so he would probably been able to take her down without killing her, so its likely she ended up committing suicide, since if she tried sneaking out she would have been caught, and if she tried to kill him then she would have a 90% chance of being caught still, and would likely end up back in her cell, and if she didn't die at some point then she would still be in her cell, but she isn't, so its likely she committed suicide or he ended up killing her, at least that's my two cents.
Best parts of the movie 1. The shifts in John Goodmans character, one time you trust him and then you dont and it goes back and forth 2. The killing of the older male character was a very big shock factor atleast for me. 3. John Goodman's AMAZING acting, never knew he was that good of an actor and only associated him with the flintstones. Big fan now. 4. AMAZINGLY shot movie, the bunker scenes and characters is a perfect example of taking something so small and making it such a big thing. Now for hte bad parts 1. The ending, mainly due to me not being a big sci-fi fan and the whole concept of aliens vs humans. But it was based on the book (books?) so cant fault them for it. 2. She's apparently wanting to be a designer whcih explains being able to make clothing out of a shower curtain...but how exactly does she know how to make a gas mask out of....bottles...what. Makes ZERO sense. Overall I loved the bunker part of the movie (4/5th of the movie) and was worth the watch.
Oh yeah and anothing flaw. When she knocks over the fluid acid. John Goodmans face is clearly burnt by it...yet his clothes are perfectly fine when he fell face down on to it? So he's wearing acid repelant clothing? lol
Keep forgetting things. I feel like this movie went "oh shit its a cloverfield movie" 4/5th in. Imo it would've been MUCH better without it and the ending being different. Like the lady who bashed her face against the door was actually Goodmans characters daughter. And they worked together to trap people.
+Deric James you know what, my theory is it's an alien invasion BUT what the aliens decide is that to put bigger aliens (Cloverfield) to attack big cities (New York ) and they send in smaller aliens to places where there's not a lot of civilians (the country-side) but what the smaller ones job is to not create damage but to effect the environment and habitat. So now since that state where the bunker was is all clear (what the woman in the radio says) there are still more attacks like in Houston but since Houston is a city we could possibly see cloverfield attacking that city or it could be a different looking but huge alien attacking the city. What do you think about this theory?
I've only ever had one or two *really* bad claustrophobic incidents where I screamed to the top of my lungs as a kid and generally aren't bothered at all by tight spaces. However, between JJ Abrams (Producer)/Dan Trachtenberg (Director), and the rest of the team, the scenes where Michelle (The main character) is crawling through the ventilation system made me realize what anxiety feels like. That shit was disturbing as hell! As the movie was playing I began to have flashes of me looking at myself from a third person perspective replacing her being trapped in the vents. And I don't know which would be worse, becoming physically stuck as a result of you beginning to sweat, elevated heart rate, an increase in friction or a lack there of, making it even more difficult to move. Or panicking as a result of yourself thinking about getting stuck, then freaking the fuck out, begin screaming, and then scream even more because you had the thought of, “What if the two guys outside of the vent who are able to freely move around, were both in on it and have just now trapped me in the vent”. And this is one of the ways they rid of the bodies temporarily as no one else is able to hear or save you and on top of that. And having even more panic set in after thinking about if the aliens were an actual thing, that you wouldn’t have the chance to see for yourself. Ughhh..... 🤢🤮 just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach. That shit's *insane!* I even depicted myself vigorously slamming my head agaisnt the walls of the vents, throwing a fit within that confined space in an attempt to knock myself unconscious. And another one......becoming physically stuck in a turning point within the vents or it being easy to get in one way but not out. The thought of you making it there but upon your return, you decide to crawl back the reverse way with your arms down by your side sliding down that vent and then it begins to angle downward and and at the base of the decline, it levels out at a 45° angle.....FFUUCCKK!!!! And I imagined all of that while high as hell 😅 so my heart was already racing. I fell so sorry for those who have suffered a tragic death such as this.....I no longer have to question why some people feel the way they do about thier phobias as I've just discovered another one of mine.
Agreed. The Cloverfield monster is simply an attack dog. The aliens at the end of 10 Cloverfield Lane are the actual aliens who've come down to earth now they've found out what our military capability is.
Could have been, but the extended universe stuff (like that drilling company and all of the evidence pointing towards a conspiracy) points to otherwise. If this doesnt make any sense, check out "The Cloverfield UNIVERSE! (Theory)" by "Inside a Mind". There was ALOT of extra content that extended past the movie.
What bothers me as a "loose end" is that there's a company selling Slusho (energy drink/soft drink) with a mind altering ingredient in it for $3. Like, what company is going to all that expense to mine/harvest "seabed's nectar" and only putting it into drinks that cost less than $5 for each serving. What's the point of that? I think that there is a larger picture that all of us are missing.
I thought Clover was supposed to be asleep at the bottom of the sea though. I thought the point of why his skin was so tough and why he had parasites on him was because of his long time under sea. If he was dropped and there weren't more of him how can something evolve so fast.
well no the creature was under water for thousands of years as stated by JJ, and a Manga was written by him (it is not declared canon but it was written by JJ) that show the creature died and sink to the bottom of the ocean. It lands on a giant pod (probably egg) that same size as the creature and there are many many pods surrounding it. This eludes to that there are a lot more clover field monster.
Emmet is the only one who could chase after Megan through the air vents and kill her in the vent room. Just read this: www.reddit.com/r/10cloverfieldlane/comments/49yx1w/spoilers_theory_everything_you_know_is_wrong/ It mostly explains everything.
xheppelin there are comments that counter that , i hate when they dont clarify shit in movies thinking they make it more intelligent, mysterious while in reality they are just cunts.
Areté Well, this theory shows alot of complexity, (not the best example but still) howard is fat, and cannot enter the filter room as _something_ is blocking the hatch, and only michelle is fit to go through as emmet has a broken arm. In there she finds the locked hatch that leads outside with the word "help" scraped into the window along with some blood and Megans earrings. Nobody other than Emmet could have gone there to kill her (why is another question).
Jesus Christ people, it's not World at War, it's not War of the World, and it's not World of the Worlds! Say it with me: THE! WAR! OF! THE! WORLDS! Okay, we finally got it right on the 5th try...
I HIGHLY appreciate all of your POP! figures in the back. Especially the Joker and Harley Quinn ones that you put side by side and are now fueling my soul. And I love your videos too. This was cool.
He is not saying Michelle will help everyone is Houston but chose to fight instead of fleeing, JOINING the others, not saying she’s going to destroy all the other aliens by herself
For some reason I actually thought that the aliens were sending those radio transcripts out to lure any possible stragglers right to them, but I can see how she has become a stronger woman and wants to fight. Good Film
After spending the entire movie in the bunker, seeing the aliens was a perfect pay-off at the end...and loved the lightning exposing that massive alien ship at the end!!
no, tagruato found the baby monster in the ocean while searching for seabed nectar. there was no satellite that fell down. they made that story up so that they can send another satellite to space to "search for the satellite that fell down" without raising suspicion, because it was actually to track down the cloverfield monster after it escaped and destroyed the station.
The director said in a interview that 10 cloverfield lane takes place in a parallel universe (or alternative reality) where what happened in the first film didn't happened in the second film's universe.. so, take my words carefully (i don't know what's boiling inside JJ mind and the plans for this awesome brand:D), the two films have the same background but the main events are different (no big creature sleeping down in the ocean :'( )
Cloverfield is connected to this through the ARG mostly. Howard was an employee of Tagruato which was hinted at with tinkering with Aliens in the Atlantic. in the ARG you learn that Howard joined a year after Cloverfield took place. Tagruato is a parent company of Slushios btw. Aside from pulling some Tarantino moves with the brand-only-found-in-his-works kinda stuff. Anyways, lots of people says that this might just be an anthology of something bigger. Maybe one day we will call this the Clover series in the future. Btw they also changed the name to 10 Cloverfield Ln because it was really based off of a book. Check it out..
I know this is 4 years old but yea now there’s a whole multiverse and a new dimension caused a monster attacks with different monsters in different dimensions killing people
This movie is a solid 8/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, i usually hate endings, but this ending was as good as the previous 80 minutes. All 3 actors execute their roles incredibly well. This is Abrams shining star, he'll never make anything good as this.
I watched pretty much all of your ending explained and I love them. Can you please do my list. 1. Candy man 1&2 2. Pumpkin head 3. Paranormal activity 123
6:46 he didn't want her to be just his daughter, it's clear that he had ill intent. If you combine the prior victim's signs and the fact that he shaved to try to look more appealing and friendly, maybe to make his abuse easier
Actually, Emmett is the one who fucked everything up. That WAS a picture of Howard's daughter in the movie. He made all that shit up about a girl named Brittany to stir things up a bit. The FoundFlix guys didn't dig deep enough into the preproduction of Howard's character online. Hell, the producers even wet so far as to post a an online bid for Megan's (Howard's daughter) stuff. Leaving clues in the picture. That and whole bunch of other shit you can look up on your own.
LOL. Harborwolf22! I was going to say the same thing! To the Creator of the video! Good Video! But the constant mispronunciation of "Telemetry" was driving me crazy. The correct way to say it is constantly heard by mission control in any of the actual space launches and Space shuttle missions. :) Other than that, it was very good.
Here's something that does connect the ship and the monster. *_Th Alien Ship and the Cloverfield Monster do the same ''roaring'' sound, and considering how incisive and paticular that sound is, i doubt it's just a coincidence_*
Your vids are awesome, and the way you put yourself into the films you talk about in some of your videos. Just awesome. Recently seen your vids, the first I started watching was The Boy Ending Explained. Keep up the great work.
The whole idea with Howard working a the said company would really explain how he knew so much about what was going on. I couldn't understand how he knew so much and why he was at the sametime keeping her in the dark about going outside. So thanks for clearing that up. However i believe his "demented approach" probably would've have drove her not to believe him in the first place...
7:29 in my books this actually shows she has lost all will to live, when the radio says something like X place is safe but Y place needs help they don't mean that the average person (with no weapons or training) should go to Y you will just get in the way and likely end up also needing help, it means hey any armed forces that haven't been wiped out Y needs support, all civilians that manage to get away from Y should head to X.
I realize this video is old but it’s awesome! My one gripe is I believe Howard’s family left him BECAUSE he was building the shelter, not the other way around. Besides that loved the vid!
The only possibilities of the two cloverfield movies is to try and give it a theaory............ 1. Cloverfield 1 - Some weird company (Targruato) made millions of "munie" because of their scientific development, the "Sea Nectar" aka Slusho and their discovery of the "Monster" under the sea (That monster was still a baby tho, according to JJ Abrams, that slept dormant under the ocean for thousands and thousands of years.).. 2. 10 Cloverfield Lane - 3 survivors.........and a weird alien invasion......... Possible theory is either the "Monster" from Cloverfield and the "Aliens" from10 Cloverfield Lane are somehow related..... since the "monster" was still a baby at the first Cloverfield movie........the invading "Aliens" on 10 Cloverfield Lane might be the monster's parents? guardians? race that came down on Earth to rescue it and destroy the "Humans" that woke and attacked it?
@7:01 I am wondering if it is just a miscorrelation but does anyone else think that Cloverfield predicted a year ago that Houston; would need help? With the recent flood. The disaster is different but it seems Houston can't even catch a break from the film here like; how the simpsons sometimes predict future events?
Bearded guy could have lived if she told that psychopath they were using the scissors to make clothes. Cause ya know, thats what she wanted to do professionally..
Vivi Cat I know that. When the guy confronted them about the scissors they could have lied and said she was making clothes. The guy would have believed it because he knew she wanted to be a fashion designer. If he asked to see the clothes she could have shown the hazmat suit without the mask.
Good fuckin movie dude. So much setting up, as in foreshadowing. Almost EVERY significant thing in EVERY scene was used in a fantastic way. i hope they make a sequel to this movie. i loved it and it really was a true thriller, unlike many "thrillers" these days
I dunno, so far Clover movies have been less action-movie-y and more character-based.
Maybe a third movie set in the same universe, but not a direct sequel to Lane.
I preferred the 2008 movie but the actors were way better in this one
One yea after " Cloverfield Paradox" :D
8:41 the satellite that have fallen back then did not wake the monster (Clover) up. The Tagruato Corp's drilling platform DID. They pretended it was a oil drilling platform but it WASN'T, they were mining some kind of nectar from ocean bed. On Tagruato's website was a map depicting drilling sites all over the world and the platform nearest to NY is the one that got destroyed when monster has awoken from slumber.
That satellite was probably tracking Clover's movement.
People are too lazy to research this stuff lol
So in this Universe, the Cloverfield monster and the aliens have nothing to do with eachother? just so happens that there are giant monster attacks and alien invasions happening relatively at the same time? I wonder if God Particle is gonna explain anything.
John Castillo the clover field series is supposed to be a sci-if anthology series kind of like twilight zone. So a series of unconnected movies that go under the same franchise name. That is what JJ has said so far. I really wish/hope that they find a way to connect them
It's not happening at the same time. She has modern phone.
this movie took place in 2016 (hence the smartphone). Howard is Bold Futura`s employee of the month feb 2016. He joined them 7 years earlier, so AFTER the events of the first movie. Before he worked in the navy (stated in this movie). As a conspiracy lover, he must have done some digging, figured out something was out there, created the bunker and that when this movie starts (+ he clearly is a crazy dude) :-D
if he just had a radio in the bunker then howard could have shown them that he was telling the truth
Thunder. Videos. he did have a radio lol
@@khanubhaii basically that means if she had stayed in Howard's bunker a little longer, they'd have all got the message about Baton Rouge and Houston and could have all went together...
carrastealth wow just NICE. ugh
He did have a radio though
So how the movie would have progressed?
Just to add that while putting back the mask, her character notices that the poisonous gas that the ship/monster had breathed upon the field explodes when it gets in contact with fire: that's why she throws the molotov cocktail into the gaping mouth of that thing, because she now knows that the creature's lungs (or its equivalent) is full with flamable gas.
Damn you got super vision. I'm not noticed that . And I'm late 4 year huh 😂
It's such a shame. All these directions the movie could have taken, all the twists that could have been and they went with f'king aliens in the end.
Why wouldn't Howard have access to his own bunker in his own backyard, and why wouldn't he be able to see the "help" message from above?
who else thought when they said on the radio "come to mercy hospital" was a easter egg to left 4 dead
Michelle coming out of the burker, looks like the end of Portal 2
ive heard some people say the big drop ship at the end was a reference to the combine drop ships in half life 2
!!!!!!!!!! Imagine
spongedog 001 oh dang
AgentFlipper bruh I was hoping them shits connected somehow😂
I have a feeling Michelle will be the new Ripley for the next sequel
I doubt there'll be a sequel. If there is, it will probably be completely unrelated
+Mao Zedong I was just assuming since the previous Cloverfield installment was unrelated, and this is meant to be an anthology series
+Mao Zedong Yeah I know. But they are not in the same timeline. Like you said, the few tie-ins were only to boost profits. It's not a sequel, so there can't be a prequel that ties it all together. There could be sequels to the original and the new installment, but they would have to be separate storylines
Zachary Goddard yeah considering the conditions in hollywood, they wouldn't just waste the "totally decent" franchise by putting it retired early
John Goodman looks like Zach Galifianakisgdhshsjes in 20 years
Ever since Scott Pilgrim, I just have the biggest crush on mew
Since Sky High for me. Reaffirmed in Death Proof.
Cool in Fargo as well
Chris Schmidt same
Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter too
She is amazing
Amazingly written
Ive seen people say that he could've set her and the dead pigs up like that to trick her but if that was faked, she wouldn't have been smashing her damn head on the glass like she was lol
@@tori9365 lol I was one of those dumbassrs hahaha
I thought it would still be possible that Howard did something to that woman, maybe burned and poisoned her with some chemicals, making her act erratic.
Personally i think that howard kidnapped her with the intentions of doing what he did to Brittany but aliens invaded and he just rolled with it.
Kinda get a War of the Worlds vibe from this one. Interesting, I hope they make a third. The Cloverfield monster could have been an alien superweapon dropped to destroy a city, sort of like an organic nuclear warhead.
My thoughts exactly. I thought Cloverfield was a weapon created by the aliens that they were gonna use for their first wave of attacks.
Smoked Out Nasal War of the worlds (The Spielberg flick) also features a crazy guy in a cellar.
Moonbase Alpha ok
Would be cool if when she goes outside the aliens are real but friendly helping humanity and howard just made up he's version of the invasion to keep her locked with him in the bunker.
Peter Midnight Agreed, it would have more impact but instead we get her destroying an alien soaceship with a cocktail molotov wich is total bs. lol
but her destroying the alien thing is one of the strong points that been showed up through out the movie:
Her surviving skill is acknowledgable
Would have been a better movie if 20 mins in they turned on a freakin' radio and found there was a safe place to go and what was going on and left the stupid bunker and all of them lay off the crazy pills a bit.
Surprised there wasn't any Slusho stuff in the Force Awakens
There's still two films left, he put it in Star Trek
When JJ Abrams is making his own Universe like Quentin Tarantino
😂
4:22 I CACKLED LIKE A CRAZY LADY IN FRONT OF MY FRIEND
Organic ships... Yuuzhan Vong confirmed?
Yeah probably not.
HellboundPsyker i haven’t heard that name is years
I would have no idea what you were talking about if I hadn't read all those damn star wars novels while locked up for 4 months.
@@whiskeytango6003 Now that's a name I haven't heard for a long time.
*Kathleen Kennedy:* oh i don't think so
God I remember reading all of those books religiously. Too bad none of its canon anymore the jacen saga would have been epic.
Why did he build an air filter network that he couldn't get to?
My guess was that a biological weapon was not considered a possibility till it was a possibility so he just rigged something up at the last minute. But, that theory is based on nothing but a guess. What do you think, possible?
It was originally accessible by him, but the main entrance to it was "jammed." (The previous girl obviously jammed it to keep him out.)
Steverino So where's the girl?
+Alan Angel I think that she eventually came back down and he dumped her in the acid.
And they worked together to trap people.
she learns how to make a gas mask by reading books on survival and prepping. they show it in the movie.
MrTrykster Yeah but I mean really...bottles only have one entry way for oxygen. Theres no real filtering.
well but didn't she attach something to the bottle? i watched it a while ago, but i was thinking the exact thing you're talking about :O
Let's hope the next Cloverfield movie will be a true follow up to the first one!
Or this one, either way is fine by me.
Reported.
Yeah I want to know what happened after Cloverfield 2008.
Paul Likiardopoulos Wow I agree with your theory and it makes sense hopefully there is more tie in with both films in the future.
6:34 my favorite found flix line
Patrick Star awwww thanks man
I've only ever had one or two *really* bad claustrophobic incidents where I screamed to the top of my lungs as a kid and generally aren't bothered at all by tight spaces.
That shit's *insane!*
I even depicted myself vigorously slamming my head agaisnt the walls of the vents, throwing a fit within that confined space in an attempt to knock myself unconscious. I fell so sorry for those who have suffered a tragic death such as this.....I no longer have to question why some people feel the way they do about thier phobias as I've just discovered another one of mine.
original creature could have been first wave probe attac
Yeezy420_blaze_it is my woblox username
fun fact: the falling satellite didn't awaken the creature in the Cloverfield
Yeah, I thought that the falling 'meteorite' was actually a pod with the creature inside that landed in the ocean and thus spawned the 'baby'....
well no the creature was under water for thousands of years as stated by JJ, and a Manga was written by him (it is not declared canon but it was written by JJ) that show the creature died and sink to the bottom of the ocean. It lands on a giant pod (probably egg) that same size as the creature and there are many many pods surrounding it. This eludes to that there are a lot more clover field monster.
also JJ doesn't even know what the thing is.
Storm Trooper TK-35 what's the manga name
Stoßtruppen yeah he recommend that lol
Emmet was the real monster
Why
Alejandro Muñoz Paz I agree. I also think that he was the bad guy and that girl in the pic really WAS Megan and not Brittany.
Emmet is the only one who could chase after Megan through the air vents and kill her in the vent room. Just read this: www.reddit.com/r/10cloverfieldlane/comments/49yx1w/spoilers_theory_everything_you_know_is_wrong/
It mostly explains everything.
xheppelin there are comments that counter that , i hate when they dont clarify shit in movies thinking they make it more intelligent, mysterious while in reality they are just cunts.
0:47 "...Or if you want the whole thing spoiled in just a couple minutes, then I guess, keep watching."

“Armadillo jaguar thing “ 😂😂
The scene where she blew up the tentacle alien space ship looks like a ripoff of Tom Cruises World at War
Or Orson Welles War of the world?
Ummm how?!
It is a direct copy of the scene in Cruise's World OF The Worlds.
War of the Worlds, my apologies.
Jesus Christ people, it's not World at War, it's not War of the World, and it's not World of the Worlds!
Say it with me: THE! WAR! OF! THE! WORLDS! Okay, we finally got it right on the 5th try...
I'm not really sure why that ending needed explaining.
Wall it doesn't show if she dies or not because she drives like right next to the ship soon wtf
+Fernando Mikell Scooby dooby dooscuse me?
I've the same feeling.
Because a lot of people were confused and wondered if this movie tied in some way to the other Cloverfield movie.
i am here for the easter eggs and references
I HIGHLY appreciate all of your POP! figures in the back. Especially the Joker and Harley Quinn ones that you put side by side and are now fueling my soul. And I love your videos too. This was cool.

It's October 2018. I finally watched the movie. It was really good. Great breakdown on the movie and all the tie ins that it had to the first one.
I mean...Michelle isn’t that good, like she can’t help everybody in Houston.
He is not saying Michelle will help everyone is Houston but chose to fight instead of fleeing, JOINING the others, not saying she’s going to destroy all the other aliens by herself
She is not running anymore that’s the point she definitely dead lol
Yes the movie's are connected
Steven Chapman yes it does. look it up.
When the heck did he say that?
Steven Chapman ....it doesn't say AT ALL that he used it as a marketing tool.
@@sholva6809 actually you did. Look up at your older comments lol...
Im comming from the future to say they are connected by the same event
For some reason I actually thought that the aliens were sending those radio transcripts out to lure any possible stragglers right to them, but I can see how she has become a stronger woman and wants to fight. Good Film
Also nice conclusion bro. Nice work!
Thanks bud!
10 Cloverfield Lane was connected to Cloverfield series.
After spending the entire movie in the bunker, seeing the aliens was a perfect pay-off at the end...and loved the lightning exposing that massive alien ship at the end!!
maybe the monster from the first one was a type of scout that fell down with the satalite
fanboy420 blazeit no it a baby
no, tagruato found the baby monster in the ocean while searching for seabed nectar. there was no satellite that fell down. they made that story up so that they can send another satellite to space to "search for the satellite that fell down" without raising suspicion, because it was actually to track down the cloverfield monster after it escaped and destroyed the station.
TheArteek You we’re right! LOL
I know this is 4 years old but yea now there’s a whole multiverse and a new dimension caused a monster attacks with different monsters in different dimensions killing people
“Oh.... -Gasp- The pantry!! It has snacks!!!”
This sounds like me 😂
This movie is a solid 8/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, i usually hate endings, but this ending was as good as the previous 80 minutes. All 3 actors execute their roles incredibly well. This is Abrams shining star, he'll never make anything good as this.
At the end when she decides to go fight, I got a heavy Sarah Conner vibe from her
You make movies sound more interesting keep up the good work
I watched pretty much all of your ending explained and I love them. Can you please do my list.
1. Candy man 1&2
2. Pumpkin head
3. Paranormal activity 123
Just call Godzilla everything will be fine😂

This guy has a very clear voice and he explained everything perfectly
These explanations really make me enjoy the film so much more! I was so unsure about how i felt after the film, this clarification was needed! Thanks!
"So the air isn't fucked?!??"
😂😂😂😂😂
6:46 he didn't want her to be just his daughter, it's clear that he had ill intent. If you combine the prior victim's signs and the fact that he shaved to try to look more appealing and friendly, maybe to make his abuse easier
Protect FoundFlix at all costs. He is the purest being
6:29 Wasn't that very similar to what was done in the Tom Cruise, "War of the Worlds" (2005) movie??
That movie taught me a very important lesson. Don't bring any women into the bunker, they'll fuck everything up.
You're dumb.
bitch shutup
haha
Actually, Emmett is the one who fucked everything up. That WAS a picture of Howard's daughter in the movie. He made all that shit up about a girl named Brittany to stir things up a bit. The FoundFlix guys didn't dig deep enough into the preproduction of Howard's character online. Hell, the producers even wet so far as to post a an online bid for Megan's (Howard's daughter) stuff. Leaving clues in the picture. That and whole bunch of other shit you can look up on your own.
+Jennifer Manning That's not confirmed as fact, just theory
You're saying 'telemetry' wrong. The accent is on the 'lem'
harborwolf22 Tuh-LEM-uh-tree, here in Texas.
Looks good to me James
Millennials don't bother with handwriting and english other than peppered with made up words. They know it all but knowing nothing, don't you know?
I searched the comments just to find this one
Here's something that does connect the ship and the monster.
*_Th Alien Ship and the Cloverfield Monster do the same ''roaring'' sound, and considering how incisive and paticular that sound is, i doubt it's just a coincidence_*
because they are related as confirmed by JJ long ago. he explains it as they are sort of like cousins.
Think I've now seen every one of your videos. Thanks for all the content!
Two of them want to escape. They make ONE chemical suit. Gee, it's like someone knew one of them would die.
I think the plan was for her to bail and get help. but yeah, kind of a huge plot hole
Maybe they just wanted to focus on 1 before they started the second one
There a third out 2017 called god particle and it says it's the third movie in the cloverfield filmverse.
It is a story about a warren of rabbits who live in a field of clover.
How did I miss this? Thank you!

Your vids are awesome, and the way you put yourself into the films you talk about in some of your videos. Just awesome. Recently seen your vids, the first I started watching was The Boy Ending Explained. Keep up the great work.
so in in 1, a sattelite fell into the ocean and woke up a monster. The monster laid eggs and destroyed the city. In 2, aliens invade earth.
ShrewdPenny I don't think clover laid eggs as he was just a baby, but I could be wrong
SuqhiMC the parasites fell off of his back
Vortex 22100 then?
can you do an ending explained for Babe: Pig In The City?
The whole idea with Howard working a the said company would really explain how he knew so much about what was going on. I couldn't understand how he knew so much and why he was at the sametime keeping her in the dark about going outside.
So thanks for clearing that up. However i believe his "demented approach" probably would've have drove her not to believe him in the first place...
Plz do more of these, like please we need more of these endings explained movies PLZZZZZ
I'll be doing one a month 😃 Stay tuned for a new one in the next couple weeks!
lol make it one a week!!!!
FoundFlix Nice Vid! Where are you from? Your neighborhood looks familiar.
We need an ending explained for the end of this video, one hell of a cliffhanger man
7:29 in my books this actually shows she has lost all will to live, when the radio says something like X place is safe but Y place needs help they don't mean that the average person (with no weapons or training) should go to Y you will just get in the way and likely end up also needing help, it means hey any armed forces that haven't been wiped out Y needs support, all civilians that manage to get away from Y should head to X.
um... she single handedly blew up an alien spaceship with a single molotov coctail
I just watched this and loved it. I loved 2009’s “Cloverfield” too. I hope they make another 🎥
love all the funny comments and skits made, not enough of those in his videos anymore.
I realize this video is old but it’s awesome! My one gripe is I believe Howard’s family left him BECAUSE he was building the shelter, not the other way around. Besides that loved the vid!
The whole time I was watching this movie I was waiting for Roseanne to yell DAN!! from the other room. 🤣🤣

I love all the little skits, watching all your videos from newest to oldest - you're brilliant.
I think the aliens sent cloverfeild to wipe out the humans but it was destroyed
John Goodman is easily one of my favorite actors. A powerhouse in every sense of the word.
The only possibilities of the two cloverfield movies is to try and give it a theaory............
1. Cloverfield 1 - Some weird company (Targruato) made millions of "munie" because of their scientific development, the "Sea
Nectar" aka Slusho and their discovery of the "Monster" under the sea (That monster was still a baby tho,
according to JJ Abrams, that slept dormant under the ocean for thousands and thousands of years.)..
2. 10 Cloverfield Lane - 3 survivors.........and a weird alien invasion.........
I just watched it... Way cool. Honestly wish there was a 10 Cloverfield sequel
Great video!
Apocalypse!? I should hide inside the pantry! It has snacks! XD
Cause ya know, thats what she wanted to do professionally..
he probably would have got eaten by the aliens at the end though.
She was making a hazmat suit. And a gas mask, because she didn't know wether the air was bad or not.
Vivi Cat I know that. When the guy confronted them about the scissors they could have lied and said she was making clothes. The guy would have believed it because he knew she wanted to be a fashion designer. If he asked to see the clothes she could have shown the hazmat suit without the mask.
+nothing okay 😊
I was thinking about it while watching that scene, like almost literally I screamed at her "c'mon, say you're doing some clothes or something!"
Thank you FoundFlix, for showing me the right example for character development..
Good fuckin movie dude.
So much setting up, as in foreshadowing. Almost EVERY significant thing in EVERY scene was used in a fantastic way. It’s tense almost every moment in the bunker between the three. Howard is played REALLY well as a Sociopath, and the end scene where she decides to fight after waiting at the crossroads gave me chills. It’s SO good!!!
Has anyone read 'the cellar' on wattpad? because this reminds me of it minus the aliens
Blue Diamond yeahhh omg

Blue Diamond HONESTLY. I saw this movie first and really liked it. Then one day I was at Target and saw the book, it intrigued me so I bought it and read it. It reminded me so much of this movie.
