    Wonderful. I am a member of facebook group - creative bag making. A woman asked how to do this. I just posted “A great method for doing this - adding your video and date of it. I hope your channel continues to grow. You are great.

    Thank you! I'm sorry that people were rude about the other video. If that's the case, can we still call this a Devon pouch? 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️😂. Dont get discouraged. You're doing great. Keep going. Are doing the zipper pull video on Friday?

      It's okay. I've handled it in the best way I know how. I would never try to claim anything that wasn't my own, nor would I want to misrepresent someone else ideas.
      Yep, still the devon pouch. ;) I do have the zipper pull video ready to be uploaded as a Bonus Monday video next week.

    Hi great video thank you for doing it, please could I ask what type of thread and stitch length you sew your vinyl with?
    Thanks for your help.

    • @RogueStitches
      @RogueStitches  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching. I use Selric thread, which you can find a link for in the description of the video. I use a 4.5 to 5 mm stitch length when top stitching, and for structural seams, I use a 3 mm stitch length.

    Thanks again. You are a really great resource. Do you ever work with leather? I watched another sewist and she used leather in certain places, yet not everywhere. It looks really good, though not as expensive as it looks. I love the way you match colours and patterns. Thanks again.

    • @RogueStitches

      I appreciate your sweet comment. I would love to work with leather, but it's an expense I can't take on at the moment, at least until my business starts being profitable. I only started my website a year ago and it's hard to get traffic when you only advertise on social media.

    Isn’t this the same as your video on the Butler method? Enjoyed both though

    • @RogueStitches
      @RogueStitches  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 'Butler Method' video has been removed after receiving numerous negative messages on social media and my business website. I sent a message to the creator of the 'Butler Method' and the reply was basically that what I had demonstrated was not the Butler Method'. (In much different words.)

    Can that method be used with premade zippers?

    • @RogueStitches
      @RogueStitches  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could if you cut off the stop at the tail end. You need to be able to spread the sides apart so that you can stitch them into their prospective sides.

    Hi, I made this request to a YT influencer, but was wondering if you have time could you take a look and perhaps make a video. Here goes: I have a request, if you ever have time. It is in regards to boxed bottoms. There are hundreds of tutorials on YT on how to make boxed bottom bags, but my problem is figuring out how boxing a zipper pouch affects both the width and the height of the finished product. It's a mathematical formula. For example, if I want my finished pouch to be 9 w x 5 1/2 h x 1 1/2 d, using 1/2" seam allowances, plus allowances for the zipper seams (or whatever it's called), how would I figure this out? If you were to add a boxed (flat) bottom to the pouch in your tutorial, the width as well as the height would change. And if you wanted to make it the size shown, you would have to use different dimensions to get that result. Therein lies my problem. I want to make pouches, but not always the same width or height as shown in YT tutorials. I would like to create my own preferred sizes. I know this is a lot and hope it all makes sense. I have been trying to figure out this formula for a long time to no avail. If you do a tutorial, can you use the dimensions I listed as your example please. Thanks.
