  • How to Install a Zipper Using the Butler Method.
In this video we do a lil DIY of installing a zipper into a pouch, using the Butler Method. I ramble a bit. If that's a problem, you might want to try Whitney Sews or a Crafty Gemini tutorial instead. They're great!
Change Purse, Coin Pouch, Zipper Pouch, Zipper.

Could you please explain what is different about the Butler method?

You are an excellent and meticulous instructor! I am going to save this in my video library. If (Lord, please no) I ever do a project that needs a zipper I will adhere to your lesson. I absolutely hate machine sewing and do as little hand sewing as possible. My mother was a seamstress until her eyes have played out on her. My sisters can sew. I wanted to craft and paint and...everything but sew. 😉 I love that you use those little clips. Thank you for this.

I loathe hand sewing! Everything I can do on the sewing machine, I do. The clips are Amazon. I've broken a few, but at less than 10 bucks for 100 of them, I'm ok with that. Lol. The "Clover" ones are quite pricey!

❓ to me a butler end leaves an open space at the end of the zipper. Am I wrong ❓

I have NO idea what you just did and why. I personally love the look of the zipper tab and it's so much faster than what you just did. But....if it works for you, that's all the matters.

I respectfully disagree with you. When not filming for a video, the Butler method is a faster than installing zipper tabs.

@@invisiblegoddesscreations It may be faster, but as I said, I like the look of the zipper tab myself. But we can't all like the same thing and I think it's great that you've done a tutorial for those who are into it. 😀

Would you like to elaborate so I may improve my filming? Have you filmed video's for TH-cam? As you can see from my video, it's really not that easy to get a good angle on a sewing machine. I am open to your suggestions. Please share them.
