0:09 As a guitar player who loves, I absolutely understood and loved that pun😂 Perfect! 👌🏾 Sound-wise I think the Orange speaker has that infamous „blanket over the speaker“ sound unfortunately.
Bro threw in a life changing story at the end of a speaker review that no one asked for but I'm sure everyone listened too👀 then said bye like he didn't just hit everyone with a left hook that no one was prepared for😂
What a hell of a closing story. I would be traumatized for the rest of my life. If I had to saw something like that, I would probably be reliving it in my nightmares
It seems to have the British speaker polite sound. Less fatiguing. But still its more of a relaxed listening speaker than for intent/analytic listening. Which BT speaker (at any price range) would you say is the best for audiophile, intent listening? Balanced and dynamic.
At first I thought the vocals sounded kinda nasaly...so I listened to the original song to find that it was mixed with a weird vocal quality. Excluding that, I thought it sounded alright.
Doubling the wattage adds only 3dB output. Need about 10dB increase for something to sound twice as loud :-). And that's assuming the same speakers in the same cabinet. I think the efficiency of the drivers used in each speaker is going to quite an impact on how loud they can actually get. And a class AB amp these days? That's just marketing, as modern class D amps are very capable as well as efficient. A class AB amp *might* be easier to repair though.
@stevendavies3379 personally I like the sound of the 500 more because it's bigger and able to produce more subtle sound. The orangebox sounds great for its size but It can sound a little boxy at times. It's more of an old school speaker sound... not as much depth to the sound.
Is it just me hearing wrong or do these speakers lack midrange. I don't think the vocals can be enjoyed, specially on the Klipsch according to the sound. I think It's only Orange and soundcore are good at delivering midrange adequately.
Could you please do a review for Fender Monterey? I got the Fender first, returned it, got the Middleton, returned it, got the Flex, kept it, got the Acton 3 now, and thinking of returning it and getting the Fender Monterey again. I'm quite surprised as to how Marshall isn't really that good sounding. I liked the kind of sound Middleton had rather than the boxy Acton 3, but I feel both aren't to my liking as the Fender Monterey was. And there isn't much info about that speaker or comparisons done.
I'm looking into procuring one because yeah I'd be curious where it stacks up as well. It's definitely older tech but it's so pretty in tweed I'd love to check it out.
I’ve been looking at getting the Orange box but saw this review and the Acton 3 definitely does sounds better which got me thinking about that instead . The thing is I’m looking for a portable speaker so still thinking about going back to the Orange. Would you recommend another speaker in that price range that sounds great , looks cool but also is portable and has a lithium battery ? Sorry it’s such a specific question 😂
@@DannyPops awesome thank you . I’ve also been looking at the Killburn and from the stats it looks really solid . Would you say the Killburn 2 is better than the Orange Box ?
I have just bought a record player with Dual Audio as I want to run the player though two speakers in a stack formation - the aesthetic is important in this. I’m going to use the Orange Speaker as you would a Head in a Head and Cab stack. If I were to buy a “cab” for my “stack” what would you recommend? I need a Marshal Bluetooth speaker that is bigger proportionally to the Orange that will compliment the sound. Any thoughts?
Killburn 2 actually sounds much better than Acton 3. I know you are a big fan of Acton 3 but that speaker just sounds hallow compared to Killburn.... Only match Kilburn has is against Tufton.
Oh wow thank noluck!! 😊 The tufton is definitely a step up from the orange 🍊 here. Simply, it's got a bigger sound, vs this is more parallel to the kilburn II. If I had to choose I'd go with the tufton, but I adore the controls on the orange and it's simplicity.
@@DannyPops busted! yeah 😜 btw i was ordering the L from the orange website, it said the price is € 360something shipping included and everything. but then when i was proceeding with the payment it was € 430 then i said to myself, wait a little bit and watch more reviews before spending the worth of a week of work for a new speaker. I am in the market for something around 350€ with a similar size and good for classical to general metal skipping electronic music. also very interesting the repairability factor that is planned in engineering this box. as a former bass-player i always liked the orange sound better than the marshall. honestly, if i could make a wish, i'd like to see MesaBoogie bring out a speaker for home entertainment and it wouldnt even need BT, cable would be the best in any case
Why are companies still using barrel jacks and custom wall warts in 2023? No USB C power kills it for me… I just want to pack one power supply if I’m travelling with gadgets these days.
People would be plugging ordinary 4.5 Watt USB-C cables into it, diminishing performance, and also expecting it to run at 5 Volts, blaming the manufacturer.
You have a really great comparison between the different speakers except, you use a difficult choice of music. Before I looked the song up on Yiutube, I thought the vocal clarity on all of these speakers was crap but the original song has distorted vocals.
Exellent AB of the bluetooth speakers. We have been using the Amplifi 75 for music streaming and love it. Whant to add another but they stopped production. The Kilburn II sounds the best on your comparrison but you know that live you may be disapointed. Have you looked at the Spark 40 as a bluetooth speaker? Lots of demos on it as a guitar amp but I can't find any featuring it a a bluetooth streamer.
0:09 As a guitar player who loves, I absolutely understood and loved that pun😂 Perfect! 👌🏾
Sound-wise I think the Orange speaker has that infamous „blanket over the speaker“ sound unfortunately.
It was difficult to tell given the original songs vocals are distorted but compared to the marshal's, it did sound a bit muffled.
Fun fact! Zound Industries changed their name to The "Marshall Group" because they purchased the company Marshall
Yeah they just did it!
Yeah I was about to comment t he at this is how a guitar amp company dies, but at least Orange is controlling this.
Bro threw in a life changing story at the end of a speaker review that no one asked for but I'm sure everyone listened too👀 then said bye like he didn't just hit everyone with a left hook that no one was prepared for😂
The acton III looks really great in brown.
No way, the Marshall has more upper mids and orange has more low mids just like the real amps wtf hahaha
What a hell of a closing story. I would be traumatized for the rest of my life. If I had to saw something like that, I would probably be reliving it in my nightmares
Orange was a big part of my childhood, to be ale to have their sound in the future is all I ever wanted.
Right to fix is Big, so glad to hear that!

Hear this with my Kilburn II.
Think i've made a good choice.

Was just sitting here happily eating my lunch when you made the strangest segue I've ever seen in an audio review ever..😂
😵
😅
Marshall sounds more clean n crisp - orange sounds grittier or muddied but not necessarily in a bad way
Danny, ime torn between buying the orange box l or the jbl authentics 500, could you give me some advise please.
Well which do you like the looks of more? The authentics 500 is a massive speaker with a lot of smart features whereas the orange is a simple devicem
@@DannyPops I quite like the orangeboxl Danny, wich would you say had the best sound quality.

The Acton 1st Gen. sounded the best hands down. But what did Klipsch do? It's all muffled, meh...! 😵💫

This is a very cool looking bluetooth speaker.
Yes but i wish they didn't use brown speaker fabric.
Thank you so much Danny, that’s made my mind up ,
What did you decide?
Have you had a chance to listen to the larger Orange box?
Could you please do a review for Fender Monterey? Zzound actually own Marshall now, they bought them less than a year ago. But the marshall bluetooth speakers were made before the deal went through.
Right. They have been making all the Marshall speakers already.....
Thanks for the review. However Zound have purchased Marshall so effectively they are Marshall
Now they have, but not at the time of this video haha :)

The JBL 300 is a pricy option but definitely fits the bill. That or the kilburn II is a deal right now around 200
@@DannyPops awesome thank you . I’ve also been looking at the Killburn and from the stats it looks really solid . Would you say the Killburn 2 is better than the Orange Box ?
I'd say the kilburn is the best buy. The orange is a higher quality device and made in Korea vs China as well, but its a lot more.
@@DannyPops cool thanks a lot for your reply. Really appreciate it 😊👍
Can you review the orange box L Bluetooth speaker?

Positive Grid does all this and it is still a guitar amp!
Killburn 2 actually sounds much better than Acton 3.

Hi Danny, i have the Marshall Tufton, and I'm in love with my speaker. Can you make a comparison to the Tufton?
Dangit, i knew I should have taken out the tufton. I'll maybe do a short for that.
@DannyPops I'll be great, Danny. Thanks in advance
How would you compare it to the Tufton?

this orange box would be a killer giveaway 😁
as always awesome review, thanks

Thanks for watching Alan! Hope its going well.

Awesome review. How would you compare to let's say Sonos Move? I need something mobile for the house and garden, and I quite like both of these
Why are companies still using barrel jacks and custom wall warts in 2023? No USB C power kills it for me… I just want to pack one power supply if I’m travelling with gadgets these days.

does your marshall middleton also have a background noise from the two tweeter on the sides?
You have a really great comparison between the different speakers except, you use a difficult choice of music. Before I looked the song up on Yiutube, I thought the vocal clarity on all of these speakers was crap but the original song has distorted vocals.
This was a great video, Danny!! Very helpful!! Lol the story 😂💩🙅🏻♂️
Orange Box, Marshall Kilburn II SupeR!😍🥰😁
I can't agree to your resumee at all. Did I maybe have a bad monitoring listening to your recordings?
Where's the Stanmore 3?
this is cool and fun!
How do these compare to the Sonos move?
I havent dabbled in the sonos because they aren't really bluetooth speakers like the rest.
Excellent speaker and sounds really nice, not sure about the shit ending. Quite literally.

Oh, I forgot to add a poop emoji. 💩 Awesome
Thanks to you, from now on, every time I see an Orange Box I will think about your first day in NYC 💩
And as always marshal has really weird mid range that sounds boxy 😂 even in speaker form
The neatly placed poop was probably a result of that new Grimace shake everyone be consuming. 😎👍
Was the piece of poop larger than the orange box?
Marshall does sound better too me
Your first time in NYC 😂😂😂😂😂
New York stinky......😅...any projector 📽 reviews in the works...?
😂😂😂 you’re the best dude! 💩
Orange you glad you told the poop story? 💩 🍊
Marshall does sound better
700$
Wow, thats disgusting lol
