crazy you made my decision better i have been looking for a comparison between these three. Thanks a lot and here is a perfect thumbs up from both hands 👍👍
Great review! I have the Stanmore in my living room and the Tufton and Stockwell for all other purposes. I absolutely love the powerful sound of Marshall speakers!
I got middleton and I love it. The mid volume gave me nice bass already plus it's really a modern design without the knob. But I'm planning to get the killburn 2 since it's smaller than tufton and for me it's very handy and portable 😉
I've had the Middleton for around 1.5 years now and fuckin love it. I'm pissed though because now I wanna get all these speakers from marshall. Middleton sooo good
I have the Kilburn 2 and it's been a super great speaker in my opinion. Audio clarity is really good but the bass is more of a thumpy quality than a boomy one so for people who love EDM music, it wouldn't sound as satisfying on this speaker compared to something like a JBL
I'm really disappointed with my kilburn 2 - it doesn't feel like it has the same sound profile as the stanmore or larger speakers. Bass is too heavy and the highs just ain't good. Gonna be returning it
Hi Danny, thank you for the video. I wanna ask about the lack of midrange in Tufton. Many comments I read about this issue. Do you think that is true? what's your impression about the midrange or vocal in Tufton? In my region right now, the price of tufton and kilburn 2 is about the same. Thankyou
Hi Danny, thanks for the video! In your review of all marshall speakers from a year ago you said you would not recommend the Kilburn as it sounds boxy - are you recommending it now more because of the price or do you think its really not that bad?
I think the first one i checked out sounded kind of boxy. I think for 200 it's a good value compared to the Middleton. My perception kind of changed as I listened to it more and more so now I recommend it.
Surely the tufton or kilburn gets a much needed update! Need better water resistance, usb c charging and Bluetooth 5.3. been looking for a new portable speaker and I'm torn between kilburn 2, acton or jbl a 300. Thinking I'm just going to wait and hope for an update on these speakers. I swear by my marshall motif 2s and makes me itch for a marshall speaker
Sonos one is ok.. portable home speaker by bose has several issues if you have a Sonos Soundbar it has amazing wifi sound Somehow I prefer bluetooth speakers as the delay in transferring audio and sync is a little more reliable
@steroberry Embertons etc current Marshall lineup have stereo- L & R channel sound - Left channel front/Right channel back. When using stack mode I turn one Emberton 2 around providing Right channel sound = directional stereo sound. My side by side speaker separation is around 1 foot , outstanding results full stereo sound front & back direction , I use such setup @ small outdoor get togethers. If setup is used against back stop such as interior wall. I find 6-8 inch from wall to be sweet spot in my environment. Room filling stereo sound base increase can be felt. Single Emberton 2 gets same result , adding 2nd In stack mode = amazing. Anyway, I found Middelton to be greatly lacking in comparison. Amazon black friday deals was my bt speaker upgrade time , did a lot of buying & returning many brands before finally finding great sound. Emberton 2 were selling for 119.00 , I jumped on it. Yes pricey but worth it to me. Outstanding sound , Stackmode speaker flexibility , Bluetooth 5.1 / 30 hour battery life & built strong looks 😎
Haha, Marshall never hints very far in the future for new models. I think their Middleton is the new guy on the block. I don't predict anything soon but I could be wrong.
Hey Danny, do you have any interest at all in "party speakers"? (i.e. JBL Partybox or Klipsch XL/XXL). Would be quite curious to see how they stack up against Marshall or the JBL Authentics line.
I hate the look of party speakers so I've stayed away. I'm sure they are good but they are party speakers because they are made to sound good and have features catered to parties.
Hi Danny! I love your videos, Bass Wise and Listening to Hi Res/Lossless Music which speaker would you recommend Woburn 3 or JBL Authentic 500 or any other brand in the same size?
I havent listened to either in a totally lossless format. They are great speakers the both of them, so I'd say go with the one that has the features and looks you like more.
What about the stockwell 2? How does it compare to the middleton or killburn 2? Im in the market and im finding good deals on the stockwell and i really like the for factor
I got the middleton and i love it. But my confused about killburn at tufton, why it seems that the killburn sounds greater than tufton. And i think you have a hearing impairment when you said the killburn is still quiete for you. Dude clean your ears regularly. Cotton buds are cheaper in any dollar tree store 🤣🤣🤣
I have a stockwell 2 and a tufton cause... well... you cant really put the tufton in your pocket or backpack lmao. It is portable alright. If you want to do a workout at the same time. 5-6kg's of deadweight for that puppy
Watts only describe the power consumption of a speaker... the wider and bigger the chassis (speaker membran) is the less power consumption does it need for playing loud. Because loudness needs air and space! To comprehend this problem you can build a speaker with either more chassis or the single chassis is able to move itself stronger which ends in higher power consumption... thats why bigger speaker needs less power than smaller ones for the same loudness :)

👍Nice review. Wasn't expecting such a dramatic difference, but the Tufton is the clear winner here.
I have been using a Kilburn 1 since 2018. It's been a great portable speaker. My go to for tailgating and camp.
I have Tufton... 🔥 Great speaker I switched from Sony to Marshal Huge difference

Thank you for this Review. Really helped me make the choice. Went for Kilburn 2 as it’s portable than tufton. Sounds great and serves the purpose 👍
Another good comparison video and summary at the end. 👍🏻

Perfect, thanks for the tip. I have a Stockwell 2. It serves me well for the size of it in my room but looking forward to one of these.
How about for soul or jazz music its better than the JBL?
@@TheJojoso in my opinion Kilburn wins for this one
JBL sounds muddy for this genre of music so Marshall’s clarity really wins
Agree with you
Thanks for your great video information
I'm really disappointed with my kilburn 2 - it doesn't feel like it has the same sound profile as the stanmore or larger speakers. Bass is too heavy and the highs just ain't good. Gonna be returning it
Is kilburn 2 open box for 160$ in 2024 worth it?(it’s been 5 years from initial launch ) Or do you recommend going with midleton open box for 200$
Kilburn 2 будет лучше, басс на всей громкости без перегрузки. Вообще это две разные системы звука из-за этого разный басс
Have Tufton and Midleton, love them !!!!!

Hi Danny, any recommendations for portable speakers with built in wifi...
Sonos one is ok..
portable home speaker by bose has several issues
if you have a Sonos Soundbar it has amazing wifi sound
Somehow I prefer bluetooth speakers as the delay in transferring audio and sync is a little more reliable
Btw enjoyed ur videos everytime..
Can you use these speakers while the battery is charging? Can you just keep them plugged in all the time?
Emberton 2 & Killburn are way to go.
Stack mode of two Embertons provides much better sound @ higher volume then Middelton.
But mono

@@pjc4425 would you recommend a middleton if I get it under $200?
Tufton is hands down a bare bones beast.
It has no tech. Pure sound physics that no form of artificial software tuning can deliver
The Kilburn 2 has been out a long time now and I see it go on sale often. Does this mean newer models are on the way?
Haha, Marshall never hints very far in the future for new models. I think their Middleton is the new guy on the block. I don't predict anything soon but I could be wrong.
I am confused between marshall acton 3 and harman's aura studio 3. Please help brother. Your videos helped me a lot earlier also.
Can someone help me know if there are Chinese copies of this speaker or how would I know if it is original or not?

the Stockwell is WHISPER quiet compared to these guys, its on the emberton level of loudness.
nice review
Think the Kilburn would work well with Rode Mics/Transmitter for small meetings of 20-50 ppl in an indoor a 2,000 square foot area?
I don't think it's well suited for that since it's not built to be a PA system. I think it'd be a little too quiet possibly as well for 50 ppl.
"daba daba daba daba" the words of a true chad
How do you think they compare to Beolit 20?
With a name like Marshall you should be playing rock and roll

Hey danny can you make Tufton vs woburn 3 video?
Can u make a video of woburn 2 vs3 please
th-cam.com/video/ypwOXcoMqdo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ImVo3kul4nvPNaFQ&t=427 there is a sound comparison for you :)
Please do comparison with bogasing M5
Please compare them to a Fender Riff!
👍
Does they have good bass
👍
👍👍👍
👍🏻
I'm getting tufton just 45$ expensive than Middleton
you can get Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3 or else Harman Kardon Soundsticks 4 much much better than Marshalls products.
when new kilburn 3 is coming finally, k2 is such old tech ... :-/
the expensive speaker in the Philippines that i cant afford 😂😂😂
Why build a portable speaker that can’t be charged from a 12v source- ie your car?!!! Useless
Way over priced trading on marshall name and legacy. China under another name
I don’t know a damn thing about speakers, Bluetooth, or any of that other crap you said. But thanks for the vid it did help me.
👍
Does somehow the Middleton has more subbass?
👍
Was looking at both on marhsalls website, how come the middleton has more Watts yet isnt as loud or good sound quality wize as the kilburn?
